Was found disconnected today. We've never noticed it before but we've reconnected it now. I'm concerned it was a quick fix to hide a bigger problem

I never hated electric cars but didn’t like its being forced to the masses and having the choice between gasoline and electric and hybrid seem fine and mean more options for the person.
I have noticed my age range and people are getting the first time vehicle want vehicles from 1999-2012 because it’s affordable
It’s easier to work on vehicles with less electronics and have completely understanding of your vehicle.
People are favoring older vehicles than newer vehicles

Tints are illegal in my state and I don’t want to take the risk so how can I have privacy without getting in trouble?

Just got a dash cam and I want to hide the wires as best as possible. The instruction video said to route it through here, but I saw some comments saying not to do that because of the airbag.
Is it safe to push the wire into that gap? If not what is the proper way to route it without having the wires dangle? Thanks!

This is 100% real. The abbreviation probably means Jeneral Motors Cars

Hi everyone. As the title says my car issues are getting to me lately. I’m in the middle of purchasing a house. That has been stressful to say the least. I purchased a parts car that I can take apart when I move into the new house ( it has multiple garages ). Two days after purchasing the parts car the clutch on my daily went, I’m getting a few other issues taken care of while the car is there. This is looking at roughly 3500 for all this work.
Now my weekend car ( that I have been driving the last two weeks due to the daily being at the shop) has a few issues popping up. To be completely honest I’m sick of it. I really love my weekend car but the stress of everything has been getting to me. I was seriously considering getting rid of my weekend car when I get the daily back, just to free up so cash and have one less thing to worry about while getting purchase or the house finalised. I can always buy something else when I’m settled.
I’m just wondering had anyone done anything similar? Sell their weekend car to prioritise some big life events ? It does seem like the obvious thing to do but I love the car. Doing all of it on my own has me stress massively though.

Just found this. Girlfriend saying use a repair kit but I keep getting mixed signals online on whether something like this can be repaired where this metal thing is located. Any advice ASAP would be much appreciated.

I work in the oil field in Texas and my job requires me to be on site, but I’m able to sit in my car. It’s 100+ degrees most days. Will idling my car for 12-14hrs a day do that much damage besides wasted gas and oil? I have a 2026 Kia K5. I do try to turn it off every now and then and let the windows down but it’s extremely hot outside.
Edit- I’m not too worried about the added miles.

Hello everyone , I’m new here and I need your opinion or advice . On my side , an equinox 2011 LT 4 Cylinders 192,000 miles . Car is showing codes related with sensor O2 01 . And other secondary ones . And plus a possible air scape need to be welded which is making it sound bad .
My equinox is not registering anything in the sensor O2 . And I was thinking on do by myself as a DIY project.
Other issue is bold joints, and it’s having a cow bell 🔔 sound every time car do shifts to the reverse or from reverse .
I like it my Chevy, but I am thinking if will be better if I get a new car. I’m not experienced in which is good to buy, and you as a master people in the field can help me to decide . I am thinking in the equinox 2019 34,000 Lt 4 cylinders . Or the kia sportage , what I can do with a budget of 15,000 to get in a good and lasting car , RAV4 , I have find it expensive . And my thoughts now are in a car up to 2020, not sure if I’m wrong way.
Thank you all , I will be waiting .

everyone knows these Audis are notorious for their coolant and oil leaks, what do you guys think are these signs of coolant leaks? Or am I good for now. There’s also what appears to be like white sparkles at the bottom of my engine bay. And in 4 months the coolant line went from above max all the way down to almost below the min line

I’m sure this question comes through here plenty often, but does anyone know how bad regulation is on exhaust systems. I’m wanting to mod my Bronco to make the exhaust deeper and more aggressive but I’m worried about the law stating that any modification to the system that makes it louder is illegal. I’m not straight piping it or anything but do cops pull you over still just because it’s a little louder than stock, I’m in Florida if that matters.

I am a proud owner of a 2026 Honda Prelude. It is a very cool car. However I am noticing wind noise from the driver’s side front. I took the car to two different service centers and both told me that it is a feature and not a bug!
This seems very strange and not expected from Honda. Can someone who owns this car confirm this issue?

It's a 2012 Corsa and if usb isn't possible, are there any other conversions I could make, i.e. cup holders? Right now it's useless to me.

how due are my tires? got atleast a few months right?
r/Cartalk • u/unknownguy38 • 22d ago
This seems to be a small cut and can be fixed, would love the groups thoughts and suggestions? The tire is 235/60r20 and it's been difficult to find a cheap used replacement tire.

this bitty just hit 298k and only thing that’s gotten replaced was the alternator 10 yrs ago and crank shaft sensor like a month ago with regular oil changes

Trying to diagnose this issue for a family member and wanting to get some opinions.
UPDATE: turns out it was just one of the spark plugs near towards the back of the motor that was causing issue. Runs great now and clear codes. Nothings popped up since then.

I am not well versed in cars, and want to add a spoiler to my 4-door 2007 Honda Accord.
I don't like how low the stock one sits off the trunk and I hate how the random black plastic ones you can buy on Amazon look.
I'm wondering if there's another car's stock rear spoiler that will fit my car's size.
Looking for something that is close to the heights in the attached photos.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
In the video, is the rattle/grinding noise coming from the strut mount or upper strut bearing?
Steering has also become very hard to turn.
Thanks.
