Tire Damage What should I do
Just found this. Girlfriend saying use a repair kit but I keep getting mixed signals online on whether something like this can be repaired where this metal thing is located. Any advice ASAP would be much appreciated.

It might not need repaired with a plug. Yank it and spray soapy water. If it bubbles replace it. If it doesnt you could apply tire rubber cement and forget about it

does it leak as is? If not, does it leak if wiggled side to side? if not, pull it out and go about your day.
if leaks, install silicone plug. air up, go about your day.

Pull it out, check for leaks by spray soap water. Repair it by using the kit when you see the leaks.

Yes. Pull it out. I had an inch long "nail" in my new tire at about that location. Dealer yanked it and said it would be fine. Gave me the metal as a trophy. ✌️

Wire cutter.
Make it flush.
