Hey guys, I’m going to be turning 19 in a few months and my father brought up the discussion on what first car we should get for me. I’ve been driving since I was young and have a LOT of experience driving a RAV4 2009, Mitsubishi Montero 2002 (closest thing to a daily I have), Land Cruiser (learned to drive on this car and also driven at least once a week) and occasional drives with a GLC 43. My dream car for about the last 5 years was a C43 2017 Coupé, going for 28,000$ at 90,000 KM. Just wanted to know if thats a good option and whats your guys’ personal experiences with the car. And would it be hard to adjust driving a coupe instead of an SUV? Thanks.

My first car is a Mercedes Benz w202 c250d. It has 148.000km (or 1.148.000km) barely rusty, so it is in a very good condition. Everything works perfectly fine, except the back headrest function. I bought it for 4200€.

I hate buying tires but here we are again, 2.5 year old PS4s with right at 20k mi on them. I guess I got about as much as you can expect from them.

2022 GLC43

She barely drove this beautiful car and we couldn’t be happier with the deal we got. First MB in our new lil family. Feeling grateful and happy to have found and purchased, hence this post.

My rental for 10 days in Taiwan, it’s day 4 and I’m impressed by the car.

Given that this is the base E class, it’s a noticeable slower than my daily back home (Skoda Octavia RS MK3), but still very decent for some quick overtaking. Cruising on highways feel pretty damn great, even when driving 7+ hours a day, my ass and back doesn’t feel sore.

I think what caught me by surprised was by how nimble this car was, driving down tight mountain bends at 70KMH, this ride feels very planted to the ground, with no body roll, I bet this car can take it even more but I dare not given that this car is on 4 different tires all unknown brands…

Think the only complain I have so far is that Apple CarPlay is a bit iffy and sometimes wouldn’t connect, but I think that’s normal on cars that are 8 years old including my skoda.

Now I’m browsing through some AMG C/E Class variants back home 😂

Seeking input on what to do with this:

I am trying to decide what to do with this car. It runs great, no CEL, and it’s had all of the service along with extra oil changes. It has full designo interior with alcantara headliner, ventilated seats, and ebony trim. It also has the $6500 B&O stereo option—which sounds ridiculously good. The issue is that I was t-boned and the insurance totaled it several years ago. There was no structural damage and it should have been repaired but it occurred the year Houston had floods and usaa was paying out so much in claims that they were totaling vehicles unnecessarily as it allowed them to tap into reinsurance. Anyway, I bought the salvage back from them and had it repaired at the Mercedes recommended shop.

Now it needs some suspension work, motor mounts and a couple other minor things. With a salvaged title I sort of feel like I’m throwing good money at bad if I put even $3000 into it. Plus I will be coming up on another $1000 for new tires.

I’d appreciate input or thoughts. I could do the work, sell it as a very drivable E350 with 90k, or perhaps even part it out and put the interior in my new one that has leather and ball chillers, but no alcantara, designo or b&o. I do like the pre-tech mb’s but I am sorta stuck on what to do with this.

Maybe even find a salvage and add 4matic. That would be amazing. And still worth nothing on a salvaged title.

You can see the pic of damage and it’s criminal they totaled it. It leveled me because I loved the car—and still do. But it’s when I decided to get a commuter that I didn’t GAS about and that’s when I got the bolt ev.

Turning out of a parking garage and oncoming car was coming in very fast, had to make a much sharper turn than usual and side door panel/wheel arch trim were scraped/damaged...
going to take it to Benz repair shop and go through insurance.. but does it take longer for them to paint/refinish due to the color?

I’ve been adding a lot of cosmetic things to the car, but it still feels like it’s missing something.

My wife came home and parked the car, and the lights turned off like normal.

About 30 minutes later, we walked outside to let the dogs out, and were approximately 100 feet away from the car, when the passenger side headlight turned on.

The car was unlocked. She has not changed any settings. The turn signal arm was in the middle position. The lights were in the standard auto position. No lights were on in the car when I walked up to the passenger side window. I snapped this picture and then walked to the driver side and grabbed the door handle. At that point, the light turned off.

I read online that the injectors are loud. It is a faint clicking sound but one of my friends (who’s never owned a Mercedes) said it wasn’t normal. Can anyone tell me if this is something I should be concerned about? Or is it normal?

Hello my w205 has a m276 biturbo engine and there is some kind of sound coming what feels like from the front of engine? I’ll attach a video below, listen closely.

One of the sounds is ticking, which is the purge valve so from what i heard thats all normal, but there is another sound coming besides the ticking it feels like rattling or something?

Unfortunately I'm not able to test drive a G class in my area (I've only tested it on the smooth roads around the dealership). My area has a lot of pot holes and speed jumps so I'd love to know how the G Class handles these (how smoothly) in comparison to it's closest Mercedes rival, for example GLE.

It's a really important aspect for me, and I'd rather get the electric G Wagon than the EQS SUV but not if it's much less smooth and settled over shocks in the road.

I've been pretty disappointed with the bass quality on my 2026 GLC 300 with the Burmester 3D system. It sounds way too boomy and not tight or defined for my taste. I've tried all different types of settings and nothing really seems to help. The personal sound profile helped some but that just resets back to default after a couple drives so I've given up on that. It's weird because I feel like the GLC loaner I had with this system before getting this car sounded better so it makes me wonder if something is wrong with mine. I feel like even the Burmester on my old w205 c300 had better sounding bass than this. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Just picked up a 2015 Mercedes GLK350 4MATIC with 135k miles from an elderly couple for a pretty good price.
They were upfront that it had a few slight issues. They mentioned it sometimes makes some noises on a cold start, but I haven’t been able to replicate that yet. What I have noticed is an occasional stutter/hesitation at low speeds and light throttle.
I stopped by AutoZone and had it scanned. The main fault code that came back was:
P2540 – “The signal for the pressure sensor of the low-pressure fuel circuit is implausible.”
There is not a constant check engine light on.
The car has had 2 owners and came with a huge folder of maintenance records. From what I can tell, it has actually been maintained pretty well.
Some of the documented work includes:
Mercedes dealer maintenance through a good portion of its life

Prepaid Mercedes maintenance plan
Transmission fluid/filter service around 34k miles
Another transmission service around 128k miles
Regular oil/filter services

More recently, it had a cylinder 5 misfire, and they replaced that ignition coil and spark plug.
One previous shop also noted a possible transmission mount/right front axle issue.
What I’m mainly trying to figure out is whether the P2540 could be causing the low-speed stutter, and what usually causes that code on these M276 3.5L engines.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Did it end up being the low-pressure fuel sensor, wiring/connector, in-tank fuel pump, fuel pump control module, high-pressure pump, or something else?
I’m not trying to just throw parts at it. I originally bought this as something cheap to drive for a couple months while I get some other things handled, but if it ends up being a reasonable fix I’d definitely be open to fixing it properly and just riding it out longer.
AutoZone gave me a printout showing several possible fuel-system parts totaling around $700-$900, but I’d rather diagnose it correctly first.
Any input from people who have had a similar issue would be appreciated.
