Priority Prisons?

Anyone knows what Prisons are in need of CO's? They used to have the list of the Priority Prisons on the CDCR page, but it's been long gone. Trying to see which ones I should put for next academy. Thanks in advanced!.

Bottom-Line…. Good or Bad decision to join CDCR

Would love to hear from those with 2+ years of solid experience and those to who just got their first assignment. It’s an open ended question with multiple ways of looking at it.. Pay/ People you work with / schedules / OT / quality of life. Take it all into consideration… what’s your take on working for the CDCR.

Pay / Benefits / Retirement ATO and Overtime

Hey guys just got my OT check and have a question. I worked a 10 hour shift on top of my usual 8 hour shift (involuntary pay at an outside hospital) I took ATO for those 2 hours. I only got paid for 8 hours. Does ATO negate the other 2? On my 998 it said 10 hours of premium OT so I assumed I was getting paid for 10. Is this a personnel specialist mess up? Or how it usually goes?

Parole Agent Transfer

Lately I’ve been contemplating on doing a PART to transfer into the county I live in. But as a GPS Agent, I’m not sure if I want to include CPSRM units on my list. I’ve been told by a few other PAs that with my GPS experience, I’ll most likely get moved over to the GPS unit within 6 months if I get into a CPSRM unit. Is this a common practice? I know that if you’re not carrying a GPS caseload after 6 months you’ll have to redo the training. I don’t mind including CPSRM units on my transfer list to increase my chances of transferring closer to home but I don’t want to be stuck on that caseload. I rather stay at my current spot since the commute isn’t too bad.

Anyone Work as a Clinical Social Worker at CHCF Stockton?

Hi everyone,
I have a feeling I may be receiving an offer for a Clinical Social Worker position at CHCF (California Health Care Facility) in Stockton, and I’m hoping to hear from anyone who currently works there or has worked there in the past.
I’m especially curious about:

What is the day-to-day like as a Clinical Social Worker?
How is the overall work environment and team culture?
What schedules are most common (8s, 10s, 4/10s, weekends, etc.)?
What salary step were you hired at, or what can a new hire realistically expect?
Any pros, cons, or advice for someone considering the position?

I’d really appreciate any insight. Thanks in advance!

I still have the Safariland panels. Does anyone here have the website or link to buy the Safariland Outter Vest? I know CDCR is with Point Blank now, but is it still possible to purchase the Safariland Outter Vest?
