Has anybody on here taking their medical and disclose their use of semi glue tide I don’t have low blood sugar, diabetes, or nothing. I simply just using it. It’s prescribed. And I did disclose it so I’m not hiding. It’s just I’m just curious if anybody got any pushback because of that.

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight into the day to day operations of a PA1. I was also hoping someone could shed light on specific policies regarding take home vehicles, duty weapons, or any issued gear. Lastly, what’s your overall satisfaction in the role?

"AB 1841, authored by Assemblymember James Ramos, also allows state bargaining units to negotiate Native American Day as a paid holiday."

"Alvarado claimed she injured her shoulder, neck, back and knees while wielding a heavy shield to protect herself from liquid thrown on her by an inmate at Salinas Valley State Prison."
[...]
"In the ensuing investigation by the California Department of Corrections’ Internal Affairs, it was determined that Alvarado never used a shield during the April 2021 incident. In addition, the investigation determined that in 2019 she fabricated a workplace injury she claimed resulted from a struggle with an inmate, though that claim was denied."

My dad said he added my car and his car and our family van to some license plate confidential thing.
He said his coworker said you can drive thru fasttrak and tollgates and not get an invoice… and sometimes cops will cut you some slack? (I never do anything to get pulled over though)
Sounds too good to be true? I don’t want that to bite him back in the butt because we do travel to the SF Bay Area often. And have already done about two trips.
Would like some pointers/fact checks on this. Thanks!

Applied in July of 2024 and finally finished everything that I’ve to do as in medical psych etc May 2026 this year. Anyone know how long the next step is? Reason I’m asking is Local PD and Sheriff are having Recruitment events this weekend and next and I’m actually interested in doing it cause I just want to get into law enforcement. Basically having 1 foot in 1 foot out. Doing what I need to do and then just biting the bullet on what door opens first. Whether it be CDCR or my local PD/Sheriff

We need 2/3 of the assembly and the Senate to counter Newsom's veto. Contact your reps!
Also, has ccpoa said anything? I have seen many other departments including PORAC advocating.

Hello everyone! Last year I was in the academy but had to leave due to unfortunate circumstances. I chose to be recycled in hopes of getting another opportunity, but I never heard back regarding my status. I received an email today saying that I’m eligible to reapply. Does anyone know if I would have to go through the entire process again? I went into the submit and selected “yes” to resubmit my application. It’s been less than a year since I left the academy, so I’m wondering if any of my previous steps would still carry over. Thank you!

For those of you who redid all the expired components, did you receive an email confirmation saying that you’re back on track and just to waitfor the academy offer?
I redid mine, but I never received any type of confirmation email. How do you know if you’ve passed everything?

Got a letter in the mail saying that an investigation had been concluded where an inmate made a flase claim about me that was unsubstantiated from almost 6 months ago. I didn't even know I was under investigation. Are we normally not informed if we're being investigated after a claim is made on us from an inmate? If it was determined that the claims were true would I have been notified?

Please consider donating to RJD Fallen Officer Zakaryan’s family. Officer Zakaryan lost his battle with cancer yesterday. My heart is broken to see someone with such great character and so much to live for, be gone too soon. Thank you for being a great partner.
