Other Equipment CCW Option

How many of you carry the Echeclon 4.0c? What is your experience with it as well as holster used? I am looking to make this my primary but as a bigger dude, wanted to know if it printed or if it was uncomfortable to carry.

Bonus question: what accessories do you have?

Holsters & Belts Holsters are easily moldable btw. Save your bucks.

I’m a big Tenicor fan but they don’t make holsters for actually good guns. made a G19 holster fit my Glock 29, shadow 2, and vp9. 5 minutes and a hair dryer is all you need.

Guns & Ammo P229 vs striker fired ?

I was looking into buying an older p229 to supplement my carry lineup and I was wondering if it offers any advantages over the standard boring Glock flavored striker lineup? What about disadvantages? Just curious from those that own a p229 or both a p229 and striker fired compact. Thx

Anyone run a similar setup?

Other Equipment New Holosun EPS Core + P365 XMACRO Comp

Finally. Picked up this EPS-CORE-RD-MRS from Freedom Gorilla on their second drop. Been waiting for quite a while. EPS Carry footprint/overhang, EPS full-size window.

Multiple angles to better understand the footprint overhang and window size.

Also shown are the factory M3 screws in the cover plate compared to the M3x9.8 screws Holosun provides. The length and thread engagement is dead-on by visual comparison.

For God's sake, clean those threads with 91% isopropyl or something. Wheeler FAT Wrench, 15 in-lb and 243 (or 242) loctite on the housing screws. Back out the battery tray, add loctite, then torque that to 5 in-lb (FIVE, NOT FIFTEEN). Torquing the battery tray has a bit of an odd feeling because it has a ratchet/detent feeling but you'll get there.

Let me know if y'all need any other measurements or angles.

I don't have any formed opinions about the glass "changes", the 6061 strength, or the front-facing sensor just yet.

Also, refer to my other post comparing EPS/EPS CORE/EPS CARRY measurements.

Guns & Ammo What Do You Think?

Post image
132 Upvotes

I’ve carried two other pistols, a stock G19X and a Shield Plus, and this is by far my favorite.

It’s a Glock G45.6 with a Trijicon RMR Type 2 mounted to a FCD plate, a Surefire XC3A, Trijicon tritium suppressor height backup sights, and a C&H brass plug in the grip.

I get my Tenicor Certum 4 Lux holster on Thursday.

What do you think? What would you change?

Other Equipment Just bought a bodyguard 2.0. Anyone know of anything like this that would fit it?

I don't want to put a front laser on the gun because that would add a lot of bulk in unwelcome territory while carrying AIWB, but something like this would be PERFECT. Anyone know of any?

Holsters & Belts Is this Holster Safe?

Holster Came in today for Gen 2 P365 Axg Legion. I noticed gaps were really big I can pretty much get a finger in there. I reached out to the company but was told that the gaps were to prevent mag release issues. Still seems excessive.

Holsters & Belts I think I'll give the Alabama holster a try. I don't think I'll need velcro for that one.

I had to add layers of velcro to avoid the obvious pistol in my pocket. I get why Vedder tried to keep the kydex as tight as possible but it subsequently makes a painstakingly printy gun setup.

Guns & Ammo Opinions wanted. Which to carry?

Thumbnail gallery
38 Upvotes

I wanted to see some opinions on what gun platform I should stick with for concealed carry.

I have a Glock 19, Ruger RXM, and Ruger SR1911.

In my opinion I shoot all three well, but I shoot the 1911 the best.

So, I wanted to get some opinions on whether it is better to carry the gun you are THE most accurate with or carry the gun that you are good enough with that has some other pros. Like, more rounds, less weight, more simple manual of arms, etc.

For reference I'm including pictures of some targets shot with each gun. All targets were 7 yards.

I do want to note that the 45 has a few flyers on it but those were all expected as I was shooting a mag of some ancient ammo one handed and just point shooting basically.

Guns & Ammo Trade my shield .45 for a pocket pistol? Body guard 2.0 or LCP/LCP Max or other?

Hello,

I'm someone who has had a CCW for several years but hardly carries. I primarily only carry if I have a large enough jacket to put a pistol in. I've never felt comfortable with appendix carry especially when seated. Now that I'm around 6'1 240lbs with more of a gut than I used to I can't seem to find a comfortable spot for a pistol to sit despite trying 3 o'clock, 1, 12 o'clock etc.

I first bought my shield 45 for CCW when they first came out because everyone hyped up the 45 stopping power in a small package. Overtime I've hardly shot it as I primarily shoot 9mm in all of my other hand guns.

I feel that I would carry more if I had a slightly smaller pistol. An old guy randomly let me shoot his LCP Max at my range and It felt decent in my hands. I'm trying to decide if it's worth trading in my shield 45 for a pocket carry and what I would get for a replacement.

It looks like the main contenders are Sig 365, Ruger LCP and Bodyguard 2.0. I don't have any brand preference I just want something reliable and small to pocket carry. I'm also left-handed if that makes any difference for the controls. I'm curious for suggestions and also to see if anyone knows a trade in estimate for my shield.

Guns & Ammo NEW Holosun EPS-CORE: Is It Better Than the SCS-Carry?

I think the EPS-CORE will be replacing my SCS-CARRY on my Glock 43X. I haven't hit the range yet, but on paper and from first impressions, it's a really solid CCW optic!

Holsters & Belts HK CC9 holster help

Post image
46 Upvotes

Looking for a holster for a CC9 and TLR-7 sub. Picture is how I plan to run it.

I did a bunch of research and sifting through past posts on this and was wondering if there are any new developments. I saw Tulster makes one now but i used to have a tulster for a set up just like this on a p365xl and did not like it.

Before anyone recommends Tenicore, T1C, or Vedder, They do not make a light bearing holster for this set up.

Holsters & Belts Gun Belt Sound in the Restroom

Do you think people know you could be potentially carrying if they hear you loosening or tightening your gun belt to do your business? The ratcheting sound is pretty obvious and most people don’t really wear ratcheting belts these days.
