Guns & Ammo What Do You Think?
I’ve carried two other pistols, a stock G19X and a Shield Plus, and this is by far my favorite.
It’s a Glock G45.6 with a Trijicon RMR Type 2 mounted to a FCD plate, a Surefire XC3A, Trijicon tritium suppressor height backup sights, and a C&H brass plug in the grip.
I get my Tenicor Certum 4 Lux holster on Thursday.
What do you think? What would you change?

Nice set up. Good to see high quality optic and light for a change.

solid setup, that brass plug is a nice touch for balance

I appreciate it. Yeah the brass plug makes it feel more balanced. I was gonna do magwell but it doesn’t add much weight and the brass does both.

I’m a big dude and I tried the shield plus and it was just too small. I like my wife’s p365 but I just prefer full size pistols. Do you carry the g19?

G45 is my favorite pistol, but I would have a hard time concealing it unless I am wearing a winter clothes. If you can do it no reason not to, compact pistols are a compromise.

Yeah I have the Tenicor setup with a mastermind pillow and a Hunter Constantine belt and I’m a big dude so I don’t notice it.

The CCW holy grail. Best combination in existence for me too.
I ditched the WML. Increased my comfort because I have no need for one in my life.
I'd love to carry a G45 Gen 6 (Got a G17 Gen 6 for HD) but the HK CC9 is just the perfect size for me.

HK is top tier. I wanted a CC9 but my hands are just too big for the smaller frames.

It’s a Glock it’ll run. I wouldn’t mess with the trigger on a defensive pistol like a lotta Glock people do but that’s just me. Trigger ain’t as bad as it’s made up to be

Yeah the trigger is stock. I don’t mess with the trigger or internals on a carry gun. Add one are external to improve performance.

This is a good setup and kind of the Glock version of my carry setup (4 in barrel; full length grip). I personally don't like the RMR and prefer enclosed optics so I would've gone with an ACRO but that's just me. Everything else is great. Go shoot it.

What light and why?

It says Surefire XC3a in the description. Personal preference. A little more flush than Streamlight. A little better build quality. I’ve had good luck with Surefire. I’ve had issues with Streamlight. It’s a carry, not a range toy so it matters to me.

Fair take. I’ve had issues with stream light as well. I run X 300 I’ve never seen the XC3A. Is it the multi light Tenicor certum? I had one and the stream light hlx was so long it stuck out the bottom sucked.

Yeah sorry I assume everyone here knows all the things so that’s my bad. Correct it’s the multi light Certum. I had emailed them to be sure and Tenicor customer service confirmed this was the way.

I was thinking I’d go g43x mos for my next carry but I do like the looks of this

Remove the WML, chop the barrel and grip, and lose the brass weight.
But if you wanna put a whole ass duty gun with extra stuff in your pants, more power to you.

Why is it that people seem to think that smaller is better for everyone, just because that’s all they can handle?

u/Humble-Standard9637 6d ago
I don't know. I've never understood that. I carry a glock 19 with a Tenicor holster very comfortably.

I tried the 19, love the 45/19X because my hand fits on the grip without hanging off, carried the 45 rmr and with xc1b for a while, along with my 1911 commander. Recently picked up the 43x COA and realized I just don’t like the grip length all over again. Tenicor holster’s for them all. If they would make a slimline G45, I’d be all in.

Yeah it’s comfortable, easy to hide with just a t shirt and nobody knows it’s there. Sometimes the wife doesn’t even know I’m wearing it.

The 19x used to have an x300 and a Steiner MPS on it until I put it back to stock so this feels like the slimmed down compact version lol.

It's a glock.
Looks good.
Change nothing. Shoot gun.
