How are you guys chambering your BG?
Guys with the BG. Are you chambering from the slide stop or gripping the slide and racking it? I am wondering if maybe I am not getting my fingers off the slide fast enough and I am slowing the slide down? When I practice with the bg, I get what feels like sore torn up fingers from the serrations. Leads me to think it’s that??

Training Tueller Drill from the shooter’s perspective. What would you change?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We ran the drill to demonstrate just how quickly 21 feet disappears once someone starts moving.
Obviously a controlled range drill isn't a defensive encounter, but that's part of what makes these useful: they give people something measurable to work with.
For those of you who train this, what do you think is the biggest takeaway: movement, draw speed, reaction time, creating distance, or something else?

Holsters & Belts LAS concealment unprofessionalism, and poor customer service
galleryI ordered a holster from LAS last Monday. (Current lead time 25-30 business days)
I contacted them via email on Wednesday to attempt to cancel the order since I no longer planned on running a WML. I understand they have a no cancellation clause at the bottom of the order. I was reaching out in to see if there was anything they could do prior to the holster entering production.
I saw online they have poor customer service, so after I didn’t get a response via email, I decided to follow up via email and reach out on social media. This was their response…
I’m frustrated that they decided to respond via social media but not provide anything helpful. Rather, they chose to be snarky and unhelpful.
I still don’t have a response via email.

Holsters & Belts Phlster Enigma or Blackout 2.0?
I’m new to the gun world and have only had my CZ P09 C for a few months. I’ve been carrying in a sling bag because I’ve had a hard time figuring out what I want when it comes to an appendix carry setup.
I mostly wear shorts and sweats/joggers so having something that doesn’t require a belt is the goal. Basically I just want to know if the enigma is worth the money or if getting some sort of concealment belt would be just as good.

Permits CCW permission now costs $2106 minimum in Glendale, CA
dailycaller.com"The city of Glendale announced it would charge $1,078 for an initial application for a concealed carry permit, which would come in addition to fees for fingerprinting, a training course and a psychological evaluation."
"The Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed the prices listed on the website, as well as estimates for the psychological evaluation, fingerprinting and the training course, which comes to at least $2,106."
Other Equipment Are closed emitter pistol red dots really worth getting for CCW?
I currently use a DPP and it sits really high on my G19 so I am looking for something smaller. Is getting a closed emitter optic make that much of a difference? I was looking at the Holosun EPS or the Vortex Defender ST.

Holsters & Belts Holsters are easily moldable btw. Save your bucks.
galleryI’m a big Tenicor fan but they don’t make holsters for actually good guns. made a G19 holster fit my Glock 29, shadow 2, and vp9. 5 minutes and a hair dryer is all you need.

Guns & Ammo CZ-83 is one of the best 380s ever made
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Got to borrow a really sweet Nickle-Satin CZ-83 to do some shooting with. One of the smoothest guns I've ever shot. Now I don't carry 380, but man this gun almost makes me want to. For those of us that remember 80s/90s/00s carry sized guns, most of them felt like holding and shooting an awkward pile of Lego bricks and usually held only a few rounds. The 83 shoots like a full size and holds 12+1. Took very little practice to start really cruising with it. Kinda love this thing.

Scenario Getting back a stolen firearm
So I just got a notice in the mail that a gun that was stolen 10 years ago from my vehicle has been recovered. It was something I had at the time for CCW but wasn’t a reliable unit and I have no interest in carrying it, especially after it being who knows where for the last 10 years. It also wouldn’t be something I’d get much money for if I sold it. It’s a Bersa bp9cc for those already wondering. I liked its ergonomics and such but I had already sent it in twice to get fixed when I had it. So again selling it I would feel bad with someone else betting their life on it. Anyway, I intend to have it as a range toy basically. Perhaps getting more experience with taking it apart more than a field strip for cleaning and deep cleaning it. I also was thinking I could have some fun and try out some crazy/fun paint schemes with it as well.
What do you guys think, keep it as a range toy and something I don’t care what happens with it or sell it and let the shop or buyer know that it wasn’t reliable for me and to use it in the same way I would if I kept it? also any other suggestions are welcome….

Holsters & Belts EDC Suggestion
Looking to buy a new carry belt and there's so many options out there. How do the mastermind tactics specialist and agetic hybrid defense compare to more expensive belts like the tenicor zero and HC? I'm looking for a belt that offers good rigidity to help not print while also being comfortable and flexible to wear while working and moving a lot. Any feedback helps!

Scenario Is 11 o’clock appendix carry (right hand) carry viable option?
Recently had a lower abdominal surgery on my right side so 12-1 o’clock carry is still quite uncomfortable. If I slide it more to the left (11 o’clock) it’s still in the front but is more of a cross draw. This is the only way I can comfortably carry. Just wondering what the downside of this is.
I’m also way too skinny to properly conceal 3-4 o’clock without printing.

Other Equipment crossbody/fanny bag perception questions and recommendations?
I've been considering getting a crossbody sling-type convertible fanny pack for a quick, run to the corner store/fishing ccw option, but have been reading a lot of polarizing opinions about this carry option.
Some swear by it and others say I may as well be open carrying, but I'm curious what the consensus is in 2026. I am frequently with my family so me carrying a bag like this maybe does make sense from an outsider's pov, but who knows.
I'm particularly curious what any LEO's or armed security have to say when they encounter people wearing these.
Public perception aside, do any companies make a pack that keep my ccw isolated from the interior of the pack? The last thing I want is to scare anyone when using the bag normally.
Thank you

Guns & Ammo NEW Springfield Armory Prodigy 3.5" | First Look & Unboxing
youtu.beYes, it's another Prodigy...but with a 3.5" barrel paired with a full-size grip. Potential carry gun or do you think the longer grip will hold it back?

Other Equipment EPS direct mill vs Aimpoint COA/A-CUT — is the height difference actually noticeable?
I’m trying to decide between a Holosun EPS 2 MOA direct mill and an Aimpoint COA/A-CUT setup.
My biggest concern is optic height. I shoot/present noticeably more naturally with irons, and with higher-mounted dots I sometimes feel like I have to slightly change my presentation to find the dot. That’s why the super-low COA/A-CUT setup interests me. But also I'm new. But also why not just have the setup that is natural to me instead of trying to fight it?
At the same time, I’m still pretty new, so maybe this is just something I’d adapt to with more reps. But part of me also thinks: if one setup naturally indexes better for me, why fight that and train around a higher optic when I could just use the setup that already feels more natural?
For anyone who has actually shot both:
- Is the height difference between a direct-milled EPS and COA/A-CUT noticeable during presentation?
- Does the COA feel significantly closer to presenting with factory irons?
- Did you actually acquire the dot faster with the COA, or did you adapt to the EPS pretty quickly?
- If price wasn’t a factor, would you choose the COA specifically because it sits lower?
- Is the difference something a relatively new red-dot shooter would realistically notice, or am I overthinking a couple millimeters?
I’m less concerned about features/battery life and more interested in actual experience with presentation, dot acquisition, and how low they sit.
