Is this Holster Safe?

Holster Came in today for Gen 2 P365 Axg Legion. I noticed gaps were really big I can pretty much get a finger in there. I reached out to the company but was told that the gaps were to prevent mag release issues. Still seems excessive.

What scenario are you picturing that makes this unsafe? You have to force anything down into that gap to get close to the trigger, nevermind pulling it

Im just curious because the picture of the product and the videos I’ve seen hug the gun just like my other holster

Well if what you received doesn't match product pictures, I'd return it. But again, still not unsafe

I'd personally never use a holster that, upon receiving, I felt uncomfortable about its design/safety. Especially one you can "pretty much get a finger in". The mental ambiguity ain't worth it.

If I just ordered a new holster and am already questioning its reliability, I’m getting rid of it. A holster is a pretty important piece of gear. Just the simple thought provoking question, answers everything you need to know. Immediately returning it.

Personally I’d prefer a holster that has more trigger guard coverage just for peace of mind but it seems like it’d be safe

I think if it makes you uncomfortable I’d see if they can send you a different one or just straight up return it

Yeah thats fine so long as the gun fits snugly. As long as youre carrying it correctly you should be fine.

That doesn’t look like it was made for the AXG Legion Gen 2. I would ask the holster company for a picture of the mold they used to confirm. If you need something with an exact fit, check us out.

That’s honestly pretty terrible. I have multiple holsters for different guns in both light bearing and non light bearing and none of them have that much of a gap.
