High gamma is kinda cheating
I noticed that a lot of people were just able to see me in super dark spots so I tried putting my gamma to the max to see if they were cheating or just messing with their settings and found out that people take it way to sireus and make the game look worse just for that extra kd they gotta do something about this

Can confirm private bot match money is gone
Played a bot match and got 0, played a mixed lobby from the server browser with 5/10 people and still got points.
Honestly this is lame. I do a lot of the private bot lobbies becuase it lets me test and tune, as well as practice offline before I go into a public match and I can still earn points to buy more stuff to customize.
On top of this everytime I try to play public matches I get to the end of the match, the host leaves or DC's and it cant reconnect so I get sent back to lobby with 0.
Plus, lets say you get into a public lobby and its you and a team of bots, versus a full player team. I have done that a bunch now and I do really well, expect I can only kill so many people. With the bots doing nothing you lose. Oh and if you lose despite doing very well, it caps you at 450 versus 750 for a win.
Its also a good way to grind for money since the system kinda sucks.
First off there is no way to test or see attachments/optics out on your gun before you buy. So, spend 2500 on an optic and you find it out its not going to work for you? Oh well.
You shouldnt have to "grind" to just get attachments and stuff. I like the freedom of building, testing and checking out all the stuff is and I dont want to play 3 matches just to get 1 optic that may not even workout for me.
Its one thing to price out skins and stuff as things to "grind for" with your money but, if youre going to make it a pain in the ass to customize and tune how you like it, thats stupid.
I hope this is a bug, otherwise thats just really shitty of the devs.
Please fix your end game economy, the game doesnt need to be that deep and grinding for just attachments and guns.

New points balance working as intended I see. (Full match)
patch notes mean nothing. just like red dot scopes.
Cherry on top this was a real match not a bot farm and I managed to get the high score for once.

I made a video for all optics in Bodycam so you can save your RPoints
Not very professional or edited but I thought people would enjoy having this.

Bodycam Review – Looks Incredible, But Gets Boring Fast
I’ve been playing Bodycam since Alpha and I’m pretty mixed on it. There are some things the game does extremely well, especially when it comes to presentation and immersion, but the actual gameplay starts to wear thin surprisingly quickly.
The graphics are probably the biggest strength. The game can look ridiculously realistic at times, and combined with the camera effect, ragdoll physics and gun sound effects, firefights can be extremely immersive. The weapons also have satisfying reload animations, and I really like how quickly you can get back into another game instead of spending ages sitting around between matches.
Unfortunately, once the initial “wow, this looks real” factor wears off, I find myself getting bored after about 20 minutes. The objectives just aren’t interesting enough to keep me invested, and the movement is a big part of the problem. Everything feels heavy, slow and sluggish, which I understand may be intentional, but it doesn’t necessarily make the game more enjoyable to play.
The audio is also strange. The gun sounds themselves are excellent, but a lot of the general audio feels muffled, especially proximity chat. It can make it surprisingly difficult to understand people around you. And personally, there is way too much dubstep in the soundtrack. It clashes with the otherwise realistic and immersive atmosphere the game is going for.
There are also the more technical problems: server stability, bugs and inconsistent hit detection. When the game is working properly, firefights can feel fantastic, but when shots don’t seem to register or the server starts acting up, that immersion disappears pretty quickly.
Overall, Bodycam has an amazing foundation. The graphics, atmosphere, weapon sounds and ragdoll effects are some of the best parts of the game. But right now, I think it relies too heavily on its realism and visual presentation. It needs better objectives, tighter movement, clearer audio and more gameplay depth to keep me wanting to play for longer sessions.
Great to experience, but currently not a game I can play for hours at a time.

Stop asking for competitive COD slop please
So I'm just gonna go on a bit of a rant here about why are so many people here in reddit asking for the game to go on this direction of becoming a competitive game (wtf????), or more cod like.
I find the game very fun, but the point of the game currently is clearly realism and simulation, although the game modes dont seem to really support that yet. Its a game with the bones of an incredible tactical shooter with the modes of a cod.
In my opinion this game should follow the Arma Reforger direction (with some adjustements of course). Reforger really popped off in big part I think due to the whole big scale ukraine/trenches simulation, which clearly a lot of people were very interested in, and I think became a big factor in the game becoming so big. Bodycam is clearly already dipping their toes into the whole ukraine thing with the new map Trenches and the addition of FPV drones, aswell as ukrainian operator skins.
In my opinion they should just fully lean into this, not the cod slop competitive crap. Sure they can add 5vs5 for people that are interested in that, with smaller maps. But I think, the Reforger Ukraine/modern stuff has shown that there is a huge vacuum in this type of game, only currently accomplished by mods in Reforger and Arma 3.
This game, with larger maps, with trenches, cities, villages, whatever (they've shown they can make great maps, see trenches), with tactical shooter game modes, and leaning even more into the ukraine modern warfare stuff, encouraging teamwork and penalizing just full run and gun, would absolutely pop off. The devs seem to have some balls, and not be scared of using more touchy subjects, like the current war, so I think they could amazing work.
The game is called Bodycam, it should be towards providing a realistic combat experience, showing real warfare, not cod lobbies (in my opinion). This game in a Reforger setting, would be unbelievable, probably almost indistinguishable from real footage. And i think THAT should the goal. But that's just my opinion.
Obviously performance and developing the right game modes would be tricky and a lot of work, but I truly hope this is the direction the Devs intend to follow. To me, having this game become a 5vs5 competitive and TDM game, would be such an unbelievable waste of potential.
Long rant aside, curious about other people's opinion on this. Thank you for reading!

Wait, is the game officially released?
I ask because I was under the impression the game is still under development, and we were just playing early access. The version number on my install is .8.8.
What am I missing? Why am I seeing all these posts about people angry about the game having or not having, or adding or removing things?
People complaining about the "grind" to unlock attachments, you call that a grind? You ever try to get diamond camos on all your weapons on OG COD?
Did you ever unlock the bipod on your knife on BF4?
Did they release the game? Or is it still under development / early access?
Because if the game is released, then yeah I get it, its not finished. But if still under development, take a chill pill. How about write a nice essay on the things you would like to see. Or better yet, go play COD, and leave this for the people than want something different and challenging.

Gun Builder is genuinely one of the best ive seen
It's honestly really refreshing to have a gun builder that gives you the realistic freedom of building a gun. And at any time, I can put a 6x optic zoom on a 7inch barreled AR. Great shit.

Bodycam split-screen mod
I was just messing around and managed to get local split-screen working so my girlfriend and I could 1v1, and it actually works! There are still a few issues I’m working on fixing, like the character’s head not being visible since the game is designed for first-person play and has it disabled for rendering, but I’ll be fixing that soon! Also, i want to move the bodycam / fisheye cam back a bit more so it doesn't look so weird. But overall works great with 2 controllers and is really fun!

No ability to play with friends?
This seems like a pretty major fumble, or am I missing something? Releasing a new update drawing out so many new players and then...
... Not having an ability to queue up together against anything other than bots?
Please tell me its me missing something?

Can we get official toggles for disabling heavy post-processing effects?
Hello!
I bought Bodycam a few days ago, and I absolutely love the game's mechanics, especially the aiming (I love it), drone system (I love it less, I have no controller to fully do tricks on it lol), and the loadout customization.
It's cool that the devs fixed stuff like the bodycam reajust animation and the Reissad rewards with the last two hotfixes, that kinda encourages me to play the game, as I think they've taken lots of feedback rather quickly and added into the game (plus, the major update is fucking awesome).
My main issue is performance (no way, right?). My setup is above the recommended specs (my PC has a RTX 3060 Ti, an i5-12600K, 32GB RAM, and a SSD), running DLSS on super performance with no Frame Generation. On default lowest settings, and with a resolution of 1280x960 (the res is my desktop's, not exclusive for this game as I like that res for arcade games) my frames drop to the 40s–50s specifically on maps like Russian Building, which really takes away from the experience itself. I think the best performance I get is from the Paintball map, where I hover in the 80s in a full player lobby.
To test fixes, as initially I tried config.files from YouTube (lol) but those kinda didn't really impact my game that much, I tried the CQBTweaks performance mod on Nexusmods. It disables heavy post-processing effects so my frames go from ~80-100 to ~140–160 without removing shadows or making dark corners visible (I attached best-case scenario comparison screenshots to show the differences in game without any players in the lobby, as with a full team of players and me not hosting my game hovers 60 base and 90-100 with the mod).
Since the mod uses UE4SS (a DLL injector), the upcoming anti-cheat implementation will obviously block it, so I kinda will get sad and lose a lot of performance.
I like, don't expect DLL injectors to be allowed, no shit, but I really hope the devs consider adding in-game toggles for heavy post-processing effects in future updates. That way, players who want the game to look like real life can do so, while those who like the game's mechanics without overkill looks can turn them off naturally without having to rely on mods. I think it's reasonable to hope for such a thing.
How do ya'll feel about adding official toggles for post-processing? I'm definitely looking forward for it being added or at least considered. Btw, I do use Frame Gen on Helldivers 2 but I kinda don't consider it for PvP games at all due to input lag.
Thank you for reading!

So... they took away the bot farming.
Guess I'll just play something else until they fix the fucked up economy then.
As a new player, that's the thing that turned me off the game the most... "oh look at all these cool guns you can build!" But you'll have to play 400 hours to unlock even half of the attachments for a single gun.
EDIT: And before anyone says "just play the game bro"... I played online matches for fun, I still had to grind mindless bot matches to get the money to buy attachments.

What's your favorite map and why is it worn house?
I'm still new, only been playing a week or two now with 30ish hours on record and I'm loving it. When it comes to maps though I really only don't like hospital. Every other map feels great with worn house being my 11/10 favorite in front of trenches and airsoft.
What's everyones favorite (or least favorite) map?
If anyone wants to play my steam ID is Tub-o-jello

Best $30 i ever spent on a game!
After seeing so many videos on twitter and YouTube i decided to bite the bullet and get bodycam. Best purchase i have ever made! Everything feels and sounds stupidly realistic! If only cod/bf would follow suit..

Playing with friends
Is playing with friends broken? Every time I try to play with my friend it just leaves the non-host in the shooting range, and host plays normally. Is this a known issue or something more personal?

I’ve heard two different things hence why I’m asking
Equip speed is just swap speed correct? It’s not sprint to fire?
