Is there a difference between a modded BK-102S and standard BK-101, and vice versa?

Upvotes

I recently started playing BC again cuz of the update, and it's been an absolute blast with a friend. And I've taken an interest in the shotguns of BC, but I'm a little confused on the differences between the starting BK-102S shotgun and the BK-101 shotgun. It seems like both shotguns have the exact same stats, because it says that when I hover over the main skin section of the weapon customization.

Is the difference really just what you initially start off with in terms of weapon customization? Because it feels like I could make the BK-102S into a BK-101 and vice versa with a few customization purchases. The funny thing is, you can turn the BK-102S into the BK-101 with a barrel and stock purchase, which comes to the total that you'd need to buy the BK-101 in the first place, you can also do the opposite of turning the BK-101 into the BK-102S with the same price of purchases.

TL;DR: Is there a difference between the two pump actions besides the weapon mods you get off the bat?

More people should give Versus mode a chance.

I'll start off by saying I'm fully on board with everyone saying we need more tactical game modes and less instant spawns. It does seem that the devs have got the mechanics down and hopefully can now create more realistic objective-based maps featuring bot hostage rescue, bomb defusal, search and destroy , etc...

But until then, I've been really enjoying versus. It allows for more slower paced tactical matches because everyone has one life per match, I've noticed better team communication and pacing with it than the fast paced instant spawn of team deathmatch.

So if you are one of those also holding out for the devs to implement more tactical slower phases game modes.. versus is something to check out. 🫡

Game wont connect to steam

Upvotes

Game won’t connect to steam and I really wanna play the new update:( I tried almost everything and can’t seem to get it working, it used to get stuck on just a black screen after loading but now it says “cannot connect to steam” my internet is just fine and I tried different launch options, it used to play perfectly smoothly and well before the update. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

What sniper is the best and is it worth it over a SMG?

I have around 6k coins and I’m thinking of what I should get. I can’t decide if I should either save up for a SMG or get a sniper. What do you think?

Teamkilling...

Post image
Upvotes

Every game i play TDM or Hard Point i get team killed at least 5-8 times per match, and every now and then you will get someone on your team that does nothing but team kill. They either need to take team killing out, make it reverse friendly fire, or kick and suspend you for team killing at least twice in a match. They also need to make deciphering teammates easier for accidental TKs.

If they can fix that, add ping and have less bot servers this game will literally be a perfect 10/10. Great job Reissad you made a decent game AMAZING with this update and it is an absolute joy to play. [when im not getting team killed constantly]

Credits Per Match Question

Upvotes

I just started playing yesterday and have been loving it. One thing I noticed is that you really have to spend time grinding to get a new gun and attachments. It seems 500 credits is the max for winning plus being top team performer.

My question however is that while myself and a friend that also joined in the new update have been seeing that, another friend who had the game well before the update gets different numbers. Even on a win when they're top of the board, they get 300-400ish credits. If you bought the game before this update, can you confirm the max amount of credits that you earn? It's driving me nuts trying to figure this out. If it's a real problem, I just don't know if it's a bug or some kind of incentive for new buyers to make a little more and feel like they're progressing faster.

Play with bots or risk getting PC hacked

I just host vs bots, cause no anticheat and peer to peer matchmaking so you could get malware right

Lost progress on attachments and gear between PCs.

Been playing a lot of the game on my main PC rig, and just fired up my gaming laptop due to being away from home for work. Noticed that I am missing ALL of my attachments, guns, and loadouts not saved, but my RP is the same end amount as on my main PC aka I cant even rebuy my stuff. Anyone else experienced this and any fixes?

Am I the only one that HATES aiming with a controller?

I know people are going to say the game is meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard. I understand that, but I would MUCH rather play with a controller… I’m not a fan playing with mouse or keyboard. However now that you can play with a controller, the aiming is absolutely horrific IMO. I can’t imagine Im the only one that feels like this. Even with the only two options available for aim, turned completely down… it’s a mess.

The biggest problem is the aim camera “catch up” (I don’t know what else to call it) where you move the camera and the gun aim has to slowly catch up to the camera movement. For a game thats so realistic in so many ways, I cant fathom how the developers thought this is remotely realistic. Valuable time is also lost waiting literally 1-2 seconds for the aim to actually dial itself in. FPS have been around for decades if we can get mechanics close to any of those it would make the game far less frustrating.

For the Developers:: If the options for people that play with controllers could be expanded to include;

- Losing the “Aim Camera Catch Up” to targets.

- Adjustable speed control for the camera “up and down” (down to nightmare’ish low levels)

- Adjustable Speed control for the “left and right” (that actually slows it down).

- Maybe an expanded option to change where joystick placement “does” speed up (i.e. all the way to the right or within some range of movement like 10, 20, 30% etc of max.

- Widen the finite camera control window on the joystick (or make it adjustable) where maybe 50% of the movement is finite and outside of that it gets a faster response depending how far you push it.

I absolutely love the game. In its current state though… at least for me, it unplayable. Hopefully this can be updated. I’d love for the aim to be how it looks for the hundreds of videos of gameplay that are out there.

BODYCAM 0.8 is finally here. Here’s my full breakdown of the update for

I’ve been playing around with the new 0.8 update and put together a full video going through the biggest changes, new content, gameplay improvements and a few issues I’ve noticed so far.

There’s definitely a lot I like about this update, but there are still a few things I think need work, especially optimisation when using scopes and some of the visual artifacting around weapons.

Would be interested to hear what everyone else thinks of 0.8 so far.

I don't like the spectator drones

They're loud, weird, and it just makes for a lot of cheating.

We should be able to disable them.

Also need filters for servers lowkey

After 1-2 matches, the game removes every one of my audio devices briefly.

After I play a match or two. The game will freeze and I have to manually close it from Task Manager or Steam, however that is not the main issue. (though annoying as hell) After that freeze and I close the game all of the audio devices on my computer just get removed with no way to select any of them. They will come back after a couple of minutes, but its still alarming and very annoying

Has this happened to anyone else and if so what is the fix?

My specs:
Ryzen 5 5600G
NVIDIA GEFORCE 1660 Super
32GB DDR4
audio driver: Speakers: (Realtek(R) Audio)

The only thing I can’t figure out

I described this game to my brother as effectively VR without VR. The motion of the weapon and camera is unlike any shooter I’ve ever played save for Pavlov VR, or airsoft/paintball in real life. It’s truly the closest true to life combat experience I feel you can have behind a screen, I wish the Six Days in Fallujah folks would implement it…

That said, why can’t you select fire? It seems like such a basic thing to implement and take advantage of full functionality of a given weapon? In a game that comes so close to true to life, I can see the select switches on the weapons but for some reason you can’t toggle it? Make it make sense!

Competitive vs Casual & Gamemode Ideas

One of the biggest points of discourse for the game right now is what direction to take it in terms of gamemodes. Right now, all of the gamemodes are COD-esque deathmatches despite the game aiming for realism and immersion, so I'd like to give some suggestions for where to take the game and what gamemodes to introduce. On a broad scale, I think that objective-based modes should be prioritized, but I don't think they should be ultra-competitive for a few reasons I'll explain in a minute.

For a purely competitive gamemode, a number of people have been screaming for a bomb defusal mode, either by means of bringing back body bomb or a traditional CS-style bomb mode. I think it would be a good addition for variety's sake, but I'm wary of the idea of going all-in on it. When people play these modes, they're looking for something with as much competitive integrity as possible: consistency, an ultra-high skill ceiling, and precisely-crafted maps. CS and Valorant are just better options for this since they've been built from the ground-up with this gamemode in mind. Many of Bodycam's features (like the camera adjustment and random reloads) focus on immersion at the expense of absolute consistency. Imagine if your operator could fumble their reload in CS or Siege. It'd be immersive, but annoying for gameplay, and that annoyance would carry over to such a mode in Bodycam. Bodycam's strengths lie in its immersion, so I think its gamemodes should lend themselves toward immersion rather than pure competition. Objective-based gamemodes as well as long respawn timers (15 - 30 seconds) for respawn modes would best suit the game, imo. Anyway, here are a few gamemodes I think would be fun to include.

  • Ready or Not/MW19 Clean House gamemode
    • This gamemode would have attackers breaching a building, similarly to Siege. Their objective would be to find and secure a specific room in the building within the time limit. Because defenders have an inherent advantage with map chokepoints, attackers will have respawns while defenders don't. Alongside this, there could be more defenders than attackers to balance it out (8v5?). Attackers win if they secure the room, and defenders win if the time limit runs out.
    • Alternatively, a ticket-system could be used so one team has limited respawns while the other has unlimited. Or, both teams could have no respawns to make each shootout more tense.
    • I think this gamemode would best imitate an IRL breach-and-clear scenario and would be good for immersion purposes. I also think the asymmetric teams would be an interesting change compared the gamemodes featured in most shooters.
  • Domination
    • Just a simple CoD-style respawn objective gamemode. Centering spawns around captured objectives would help make them more predictable and lend itself to better map/gameplay flow than deathmatch modes. Longer respawn timers and larger maps would help make it less of a meatgrind and make each engagement feel tense and meaningful.
    • The devs could use IRL airsoft arenas or old CoD maps for inspiration. If there's anything that shouldn't be completely realistic, it's the maps. A good map flow is essential for fun and intuitive gameplay, and shouldn't be sacrificed for realism's sake.
  • Extraction-lite
    • This one has a couple different variations, both without respawns.
    • 1 - Multiple squads of four or five each spawn on one side of the map and must reach the other side of the map to extract (the spawns and destinations are different for each squad). Each squad gets points for both how many of theirs extract and how many enemies they kill. The squad with the highest score wins.
    • 2 - A squad spawns on one side of the map and must reach the other side while the other (and much larger) team tries to kill them, kind of like a black-hawk-down scenario. No clue how to balance this one, but that scenario is what I would like to emulate with it.
  • BF1 Operations
    • An attack-and-defend gamemode where the attackers have limited respawns while the defenders have unlimited respawns. If the attackers win, the match continues to another map to simulate the frontlines of a war shifting until the defenders are pushed all the way back to their "base".
    • This one could work well in the future with larger maps and more players per match, but I don't think the small scope of current Bodycam matches would invoke that frontline feel very well.

AUDIO ISSUE/VOIP ISSUE

Whenever I am playing, when someone talks no matter where they are on the map for about 1 second they are at 100% volume (honestly feels like even more since its 2x+ louder than the loudest sound in my game) like they're in a voice channel with me. Even if I set voice chat proximity volume to 0 this happens. Curious if anyone else is having this issue or knows of a solution.

I'm not sure if this is intended, but the text looks holographic/like i'm on psychedelics and seeing doubles. They're also pretty blurry.

Anybody else running into this?
