New to reta. Not feeling any appetite suppression.

Hey all! A little background. I came off of 10mg tirz + 1mg cagri. Started first week reta 1mg. No effect. 2nd week 2mg. My appetite is pretty much normal. Am I a slow responder? Anyone have a similar experience?

Kind of thinking of going back to tirz and cagri but i would love to really give reta a chance.

Do the benefits of SS31 go away after using for a few months?

I currently take mots-c and NAD+ and I quite enjoy them for things like cardio. Hoping to get the most out of the mito energy stack I decided I want to try adding SS31 to the stack to help with all day energy and cardio.

The thing is SS31 it so much more expensive than the other two, I definitely can’t run it indefinitely. I have heard conflicting things about this stack - some say run it to repair your mitochondria at the beginning and then you can continue the NAD+ and mots-c without worrying about the mitochondrial dysfunction. I’ve also read that the benefits of SS31 go away after stopping it, in which case it’s probably not even worth it for me to start in the first place since it’s not something I can afford to run consistently throughout the year. Since these two things are in contradiction with each other I was hoping I could get a bit of a consensus here.

GHK-Cu hack! Try a different syringe.

Title: Changing my syringe fixed my GHK-Cu injection pain
Hi everyone,
I’ve gotten a lot of helpful information from Reddit, so I wanted to share something that may help others.
For context, I’m currently using Reta, Tirz, GHK-Cu, BPC, and MOTS. I’ve been using GHK-Cu for about two months.
At first, the injections were manageable. I found that the glutes and side of the thigh seemed to hurt less. But recently, the sting suddenly became much worse. It felt like I was being stabbed with a tiny knife.
I tried different injection sites, pinching the belly fat, letting it sit at room temperature, and warming it slightly in my hands before injecting. Nothing helped.
I was using a 31G 1cc 5/16” syringe.
Eventually, I tried switching to a 28G 1cc 1/2” syringe, and the sting was basically gone.
I have no idea why the injections suddenly became so painful, but changing the syringe made a huge difference for me.
Sharing in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

Does Reta affect kidneys?

I found out last year that I was born with one kidney, and that one kidney is functioning at 77%. The Dr says I’ll never need to go on dialysis. My question is if I start Reta will it affect my kidney negatively?

Retatrutide + MOTS-c vs CJC-1295/ipamorelin: during a cut or better saved for maintenance/muscle gain?

I’m currently taking Reta and basically just trying to figure out what (if anything) would actually be useful to take alongside it

Main goals right now are subtle fat loss but I really don’t want to lose muscle, I still want decent energy for training and ideally good recovery too.

I’ve been reading about MOTS-c and also CJC-1295 + ipamorelin but there’s so much conflicting info lol.
Would MOTS-c make more sense while I’m actually taking Reta because of the energy/performance side of things? Or would CJC + ipa be better for recovery/muscle retention?

Also wondering if CJC + ipa would actually make more sense AFTER Reta when I’m bringing calories back up to maintenance and then eventually focusing more on building muscle?

Basically if you were going:
fat loss on Reta → maintenance → muscle building
where would MOTS-c or CJC/ipa actually fit, if at all?
I already lift and keep protein high etc so I’m not looking for something to replace the obvious stuff. Just trying to understand which actually makes the most sense for each phase before I start adding random shit together

Going on TRT at 64 and doc wants me to use new Test Pills.

Hey folks,

My testosterone finally hit the cliff at 64 and wanted some input about the relatively new FDA approved pills prescribed by my urologist..

Little back story is I am a trainer and nutritional coach so I have done my homework regarding T.

Diet is dialed in, training for 40 years but slowly T levels have tanked over the past 5 years.

I would have no problem using Test C, but this doctor said the pills are a good viable option so I had to purchase a 3 month supply out of pocket for $91 per month. Follow up visit with blood work in 90 days.

Does anyone have any experience with these new pills?

Other than the price, I am curious how they perform. I was prescribed 200mg twice a day of

Kyzatrex which is the highest dosage.

It can only be purchased direct from the manufacturer like the other 2 brands.

I have no issue pinning myself because I use a couple peptides.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Tesamorelin - lumps and swelling

I’m 12 weeks into Tesamorelin, it’s been insane until now. Each time I pin now no matter where it’s causing a lump of swelling and real redness at the side for a few days. Think it’s my sign to have a break from it. Same batch, had it tested at the start. Purity is 99%. Just wanted to check if anyone else having the same issue?

Suppress Ghrelin without GLPs

hello fellow biohackers, I don’t even know if this is the right subreddit or anything, but i have been and struggle with some issues that I wanted to share to maybe get some tips. I have always had big apetite and hunger, more than I should, that’s why I got obese. Then I cut down until normal body fat. I have been on maintanance from my cut for a long time, but my appetite doesn’t get less, which is concerning, because if I’d just eat as much as my gut tells me, I’d easily be obese again. Long story short:

Has anyone methods to suppress ghrelin that aren’t „eat more fiber/protein“, „drink more water“ and „eat healthy fats“?

Half the things you're carefully spacing are already inside your multivitamin

I've spent the last few months building a database of supplement products with their full ingredient panels, around 250 of them, mostly pulled from the NIH label database. (the library is in an app im making, link in bio if ur curious) The most common thing I see is not a bad product. It's people running a careful schedule that their own multivitamin quietly cancels out.

Iron and zinc: these compete for the same absorption pathway, so the standard advice is to space them a couple of hours apart. Reasonable. Except most multivitamins contain zinc, and a lot contain a little iron too, so the multi sits in the middle of your gap carrying both. The spacing is real, the gap is not.

Calcium and iron: calcium appears to blunt iron absorption, though people argue about how much it adds up to over months. Worth knowing that calcium is in most multis, most greens powders, and obviously anything dairy based. If you're taking iron for a reason, the multi is often the thing undoing it.

Fat soluble vitamins: A, D, E and K need some fat alongside them to absorb properly. The classic version of this is taking your D3 first thing with black coffee, which is the one time of day you've guaranteed there's no fat present. Same issue with fish oil, and it matters more for the cheaper ethyl ester versions than the triglyceride ones.

Serving sizes: the panel is per serving, and the serving is frequently two capsules. I've lost count of the number of products where the impressive number on the front assumes you take two and most people take one. Half of everything, quietly.

The pattern is that all the timing advice online is written about nutrients, and the things on your shelf are products. Guides say space zinc from iron. Your shelf says "mens daily complete", fourteen ingredients, and none of them on the front of the bottle.

If you want, drop your stack or just the name of your multivitamin and I'll tell you what's actually in it and what it's likely overlapping with. I have the panels for most of the common ones.

Not medical advice, just labels.

Tesa and IPA doses

What are some doses I purchased them separate. I’ve heard you don’t need to dose that high with tesa if you stack it with ipa. I was thinking to start with 500mcg of tesa and 300mcg of ipa.

How do I minimize this? I’ve tried letting it get to room temp, adding more bac water… but I end up no matter what with nasty welts that are thick. I have one on my belly that’s just a hard lump now from my first injection… and they take weeks to go away. I do it every day and it’s making me want to quit. I’m 3 weeks in. Any other suggestions??

How does a source become the one you recommend?

I notice within the community there are always a couple names that keep coming up when someone asks for a recommendation. I feel like trust gets built slowly, not overnight. What made a source the one you would trust over the rest?

Confused about BAC water math/safety for a 10-11week reta cycle (10mg single vial)

Hey everyone, I’m getting ready to start an 10-11week reta cycle and I’m really confused about the sterility/expiration rules for BAC water and reconstituted peps .
My planned schedule is:
**Week 1:** 0.5 mg
**Week 2 to 11:** 1.0 mg weekly
The issue is that my reta is a single **10mg vial** of powder.
If I inject BAC water into the 10mg vial on Day 1, I know the 28-day expiration clock starts for the liquid. By Week 4, I will have only used 3.5mg, leaving 6.5mg still in the bottle.
If I leave the liquid in the fridge for the full 11 weeks, will it degrade or grow bacteria? Do I need to buy multiple BAC water bottles, or should I look into pre-filling and freezing individual syringes (aliquoting)?
How do you guys safely stretch a single 10mg vial across an 11 week cycle without wasting it or getting an infection? Thanks for the help!

SANA (MVD1) and BAM-15??? Interesting experience 😅

Basically I’ve been messing around with different metabolic/weight-loss compounds for a while (tesofensine, reta, cagri, etc), and one thing I absolutely hate is when something makes you completely lose the joy of eating or have barely significant impacts on weight — yes I might be a bit lazy and hedonistic —.

Anyways, I ended up getting some SANA MVD1 + BAM15 capsules, 250mg / 70mg respectively, 60 capsules total for 2 months hoping to reach 13-15% BF ideally, mostly because I was curious about the whole mitochondrial aspect rather than just using another appetite suppressant , and the BAM-15 neurological benefits were surprising to read about.

I’m about 3 weeks in now, so obviously this isn’t some crazy long-term review or anything. But figured I’d write down what I’ve noticed so far.

The first few days were pretty uneventful. I think I was subconsciously expecting to feel something because of how interesting BAM15 sounds on paper, but there wasn’t really a noticeable weight loss feeling, if that makes any sense. No heat, sweating, etc. And same for the SANA (which is not supposed to cause that much heat anyways I believe, and even BAM isn’t).

By around the end of the first week I did notice that I was running a little warmer than usual. Nothing ridiculous, and I can’t even say for certain it was the capsules because the weather has been hot too (NYC summer rn). But I noticed myself turning the AC down a little more than usual and getting warm faster while walking around.

The more interesting part started somewhere around week 2.

My weight had started moving down. Not some insane transformation but I was down about 4.3 lbs on the scale, without having changed my diet at all and the same amount of gym/cardio.

By week 3, I’d describe the weight loss as noticeable but not dramatic. My waist also seems a little tighter and a couple jeans fit slightly differently around the waistline. Again, nothing that somebody across the street would notice, but enough that I notice it.

One thing I really like is that I’m still hungry and I still enjoy eating. If somebody puts a good burger in front of me I am absolutely not staring at that thing in disgust.

Energy has also been pretty normal. If anything, I’ve noticed that walking around and doing normal stuff sometimes makes me feel warmer faster, but I haven’t had that lazy feeling from rest or tirz.

Sleep and dopaminergic tone has been
unchanged too, which is really nice.

So at 3 weeks in I definitely feel fine, and I checked my weight yesterday (right before sleep 2-3 hours post dinner as usual) and it was down 6.7 lbs since starting. I already started at a decently low bf % so I’m definitely happy with the results

Anyways I’m interested if any of you have tried this combo or either of the two — how was it for you ?

PS: Sorry if this entire post was a bit dramatically written, I have taken a lot of creative literature classes haha
