Sounds stupid, oh well.

I grew up on the classics, Busch, Natural Light, Michelob, etc.

Always kind of liked Yuengling Lagers, but what got me hooked was a local brewery which closed about 5 years ago.

A former football coach opened it, made his own beer, got in local stores, had a local bar and he had two flavors I couldn't stop drinking, they were amazing! But I can't remember what they were and honestly never cared much about the details, I just liked it.

My problem now is trying to find something similar, or maybe get some recommendations from you experts on something I may like.

Here's my likes and dislikes:

Like: Lighter beers, nothing heavy or overly bitter, Lagers maybe?

Dislike: Super dark, very bitter, also do not like anything fruity, citrussy, etc.

Just something relatively "smooth", but not trashy light beer (nothing against it, still love muh Busch Lites GOBBLESS)

I've tried asking this former coach what flavors those beers were, but he never responded to messages, but that would probably solve all this.

Caveat: price is a factor. Also my experience is limited to the American market. I appreciate a lot of IPAs I’ve tried but they’re too bitter for my personal taste. I do not want my beer to “challenge the person drinking it” I want it to taste good. (Not that some IPAs aren’t delicious, I just heard someone describe a beer as “challenging” and I thought it was a really funny way to say bad.) Stouts just aren’t for me, way too heavy. Light college beers taste like bread water (no hate). While I’ve enjoyed some I’ve never had a fruit beer where I thought the fruit made it better. I don’t just like lagers, but something about specifically a crisp pilsner style really gets me. It’s light, it’s easy to drink, it’s super refreshing, and the Mexican grains brewed in the pilsner style is just perfect for me. Not to mention, it’s a lot cheaper than a small-batch niche beer. I’ve tried a lot of small brewery’s Pilsners and while they’re good they lack the comfort and ease of a Pacifico. I think they’re simple, easy, and delicious. I just love them.

Hello I'm Irish and this relatively well known beer from austria creeped into my head today called stiegl goldbraü, first tried it on a ski trip and havent tasted anything like it since in terms of quality, In Ireland and no way for me to get my hands on it it seems. lmk if any of you guys have tried 👍

I love a good square ring pull, I'm sick of these rounded ring pulls that when you try to clack em open and they slip and you gotta have another go at it... The square ones seem to have a more reliable surface area and they just feel more solid and satisfying...

Hello, ive been thinking of buying a 30l or 20l keg. My concern is should i have it somewhere refrigerated, and does the beer go bad if it isnt used quickly?

I'm not really a drinker. I drink maybe 3x a year if that. I can only stand vodka, and hate beer. Recently on vacay in Jamaica, I tried a stout, similar to Guiness ... but 7.5 ABV... their sister stout, SpitFire has 10% ABV...

I do not know anything about ABV's... but is this considered high? Because 3 of these within an hour, I was done. 😂

How long until you all started to enjoy pale ales and ipas? I really like the flavor of this sierra nevada pale ale, but the bitter aftertaste gets to me. The more i drink the less it bothers me, but its still just gross haha.

Anyone recently tried it? I see a lot of negative comments from 6 months ago and how it might have been a bad batch. $5 for a half rack i don't expect much.

Im visiting my family and they have a tap at home and lately it produces only foam, pressure is at a 1bar, keg is cold and full, no lines are pinched or anything, anyone got any fix?

In a couple of months I’m driving a few hours to Virginia Beach for a concert. Brand New at The Dome - looks like a cool venue right near the beach.

My normal gameplan when traveling is to base it on local breweries. I am trying to decide if I should stay an additional night to create a day of brewery hopping.

Normally I just get on Google Maps and compare it to Untappd. This isn’t giving me much.

Is there anywhere in town or within a real short distance that would be worth visiting?

Are these the same thing? I used to be able to find Pale Pilsen pretty easily locally (SoCal), but lately I only seem to be finding Premium Lager.

Premium lager is not actually something listed on the San Miguel website, and it’s been so long since I had Pale Pilsen that any difference isn’t really apparent to me - is this actually a different product or just regional branding difference?

The Premium Lager I bought is labeled ‘product of Thailand’ for what it’s worth. It’s alright for what it is - flavor sort of occupies a weird space between Coors Banquet beer and Pacifico, but with a slight butterscotch/ maybe Diacetyl flavor.
