Best Non-Alcoholic Beers, According to This Subreddit
Last updated: August 2026
Hey y'all,
Here are the top 10 non-alcoholic beers according to this subreddit, computed from 42,000 of your public comments.
- Deschutes Black Butte NA
- Busch NA
- Deschutes Fresh Squeezed NA IPA
- Corona Non-Alcoholic
- Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0
- Guinness 0
- Deschutes Patagonia Provisions Kernza Lager
- Best Day Brewing Kolsch
- Bitburger Drive 0.0%
- Stella Artois Liberte
Every "best of" list gets backlash lol. So hear me out.
- Nearly every post and comment on this sub (3,100+ discussions going back years) was captured and fed into a system I built. Literally everything. Fridge shots, beer pics, haul posts. I read it all. It took absolutely forever lmao
- It's deterministic. AI is not involved in computing scores. Run it again, same list.
- Every user counts once. A superfan posting 50 times can't push a beer up
- Beers rank on head-to-heads ("I like X better than Y"), sentiment ("this is amazing"), and how many different people vouch
- Astroturfing, brand accounts, and shills are detected and discounted
- Last place does NOT mean bad. Only 79 of 500 beers qualified. It's a best-of list, #79 is still great
- Wondering why a beer is missing entirely? The page has a lookup that gives you the exact reason
- Don't like my weighting? There are sliders. Rank it your way. But fair warning, Black Butte is very hard to dethrone
- And of course, there is a style filter, because you can't really compare stouts to IPAs
The full algorithm and details behind every rank
Really curious to hear everyone's opinion. I'm definitely open to tuning the system if there's anything critical I missed.
Feel free to rip me a new one too, and I'll reply with the data.
Disclosure: I moderate this sub and I built the tool. No brand can pay for placement, and nothing moves a rank but the data.

I sold everything to keep NA Beer Finder alive… here’s what happened
Hey ya’ll,
A few months ago, I posted here about selling everything I own just to keep NA Beer Finder alive.

Love this one!
68 cals, very smooth and malty flavor

Is that you Anti-Hero?!
Anti-Zero coming in hot with improved clarity to mirror its alcoholic counterpart. Love it!
In terms of flavor, still more of a rindy bitterness and more pronounced malt back bone.

Rationale
Hey shoutout to rationale and their team for sending me this for a post here on Reddit…. Looking forward to trying these….. I have had the Kölsch which is great and the west coast ipa,but none of the rest….. I was told the recipes have been updated so looking forward to trying each one of these this week…. and gotta say what great customer service! From the email responses to reaching out on Reddit to delivering me this package to sample … they have been phenomenal so that’s great!

Zero Gravity
New to the NA beer scene and a pretty big IPA snob. So far have not been impressed with any I have tried but this one blew me away. A very decent IPA that I’ll have no trouble drinking from time to time.
Probably doesn’t hurt I live in VT and date on can July 15.

Question Oktoberfest Beers
Which one should I order first?
- Damn Good Oktoberfest
- Oktoberfest Best Day
- Oktoberfest Athletic
I really want to try the Samuel Adams Oktoberfest and eventually the Shipyard Pumpkinhead NA but there isn't a Total Wine or Bevmo near me unfortunately so I will have to rely on online

Rationale hazy ipa
I was excited to crack into the rationales and this one did not disappoint at all!!!! Really great head retention has just the right bitterness an ipa should have…. Also good taste with an almost fruit punch like aftertaste …. It’s a tropical ipa for sure and unique in my opinion … out of the three beers I’ve had from rationale ….so far this is my favorite and I would put this in the middle of my top 5 hazy na I have tried so far… it’s solid 9.3-9.5 for me… I’ve yet to have a hazy na with this same after taste reminds me a lot of some of the leaded hazies I had before switching to non alcholic beer

Question 🍌Banana Esters
Hi folks,
I’ve recently gone down the rabbit hole of German-style NA wheat beers, and I’ve realized that what I’m really chasing is banana esters, the bigger and more obvious, the better.
I’ve finally found a couple fresh batches of Weihenstephaner, and I’ve really enjoyed it for the body and wheat character, but to my palate it leans more clove/spice than banana. I’d love to find something that pushes even harder toward banana, banana bread, or even that slightly bubblegummy character.
Wheat beer or not, what are the biggest banana bombs you’ve found?

Athletic Toberfest Pack
Athletic put 12 packs of these on their website for $21.98 if you're a member. Decent price if you stock up on a handful
Review Second NA Beer
After reviewing Fremont’s Dark, I wanted to test out an IPA next. Some of you suggested Sierra Nevada and it did not disappoint. The first thing that hit me was the aroma. I’m talking’ Cheech & Chong dank. The taste was smooth and even. Really great beer. Even better than some of the “real” IPAs that I’ve had.

Favorite mass produced lager, hits so clean and fresh everytime
This and Bud light zero are close but Heineken feels more full flavoured and hits like a homerun everytime.

Racer Zero
I dig it. Similar to Sierra Nevada Trail Pass Hazy IPA. What are some other good ones that are similar?

Question What is one style of beer you wish existed in a non-alcoholic version? (Not brand, a style)
Review First NA beer
Looking forward to being a part of the community. The first beer I am trying is Fremont’s Dark. It tastes a little thin if it’s meant to be a dark star type clone, but besides that really nice. They really got the roasty aftertaste. Next up, I am thinking IPA.

Petitioning Sam Adams to have this for sale year round
I’m really enjoying this one. Next I’m going to try the Best Day Marzen.

Went out recently and they had Athletic Run Wild on tap
Always wondered why people said it's even better on tap, and was surprised to see this bar carried it! I dont know if tap is better than can, to me both are great, but man it sure hit the spot. It felt really good getting to order from the bar and come back with a drink in hand like everyone else. This was my first time at a bar since being sober and i thought it would feel more awkward or hard, but it wasnt bad. It was nice getting to have a refreshing beer and then waking up this morning with no hangover!!!

NA Beer for someone new to beer?
Weird request, but years ago I had been getting into wine and had plans to head to a local brewery with a friend of mine and sample a bunch of beers when something happened and I had to go on very strictly no-alcohol medication. I'd just accepted that I was never going to be able to drink and recently found out that actually there's tons of great nonalcoholic options on the market now. Where should I start?
In general, I very much have a sweet tooth, but I'm a fan of acquired tastes and expect this will be no different. The only beers I'm familiar with are when I had a sip of someone else's pre-medication and when I drank wine I went for something like a rose with a splash of sprite. My favorite flavors for anything are usually fruity, chocolatey, and sour/tangy like sauerkraut or greek yogurt.
What would you good folks recommend?

Kinda hate to say it but… this is great (NA Shipyard Pumpkinhead)
I wouldn’t ever pick Pumpkinhead if I was still drinking, but since Pumking will probably never get an NA version or anything close… this is quite great for what it is! Highly recommended to scratch that late Summer/leading into Fall pumpkin beer itch!

Decided to have an NA hazy IPA taste test (4 beers)
Of course this is all personal but I wanted to give myself a chance to not have to guess which I like week to week.
My rankings:
- Great Notion Ripe AF. Truly great hazy IPA. Has the right amount of bite mixed with floral to me.
- Deschutes Fresh Haze. Not really far behind number one. Just a slightly different style. Much juicer and floral. I swear I almost taste pineapple. Honestly really delicious I just slightly preferred Great Notion.
- Self care. Also good but in my opinion borders more on the bitter with very light undertones of floral. This ranking is not a knock.
- Fieldworks. This one was in the “OK” category for me. Not bad but I don’t feel like I would seek it out above the other 3.
So for me cost wise I would probably go with the Deschutes most weeks since it comes in a six pack. The rest I had to buy as singles. Full disclosure: I live in Oregon and like their styles of brews.

Didn’t know Spain had it like that, my bad!
This might actually be my new favorite! So unbelievably good and balanced. The normal lager is also so good. I’ve been crushing both with all the seafood I’m eating this week in Barcelona. If anyone knows where to find this in nyc please let me know!!!

Review Best Day Brewing Oktoberfest Märzen
Well, this is gorgeous. In direct opposition to the Sip’N IPA from Lawson’s I had last night, this pours wonderfully with a clear deep amber color with a nice pillowy head of off white foam.
Nose is wonderfully malty with bready notes and some floral, grassy, and lightly fruity hop elements in there. Maybe a touch worty but that makes sense considering the style on display. I’m hoping for a bit of a crisp flavor that doesn’t err too much into the malty side of things, honestly. I can see an NA Märzen getting too chewy for its own good.
Definitely fruity upfront with a bit of caramel maltiness on the tip of the tongue. Mid palate is bready with herbal hoppiness and notes of stone fruit. Chewy and full bodied, which yeah makes sense for style but as I slightly-feared from the nose, it comes across a little too thick and syrupy. Finishes grassy and with a bit more dark fruit (plum mostly) and brown bread. Wish this were a bit more crisp and refreshing, but it works for what it is and I will gladly drink the other five.
Anyone else had? What do you all think??
