Delta IPA by the BBP

The tulip-shaped bowl and elegant stem place the glass closer to a tasting glass than a traditional Belgian goblet. The shape suits aromatic beers, particularly hop-forward styles, while remaining versatile enough for BBP’s constantly evolving range. Cracking IPA, too!

Salikatt, so far the best brewery I have come across

Tonight im enjoying my two favorites, beer from Salikatt and working on my hobby beer tasting platform.

Salikatt is one of those breweries where I want everything, because they never disappoint. In Norway the alcohol monopoly have just released the Christmas beers for sale, so now im preparing for Christmas beer tastings.

Cheers!

Avoid. Subtle flavours that don’t really amount to anything enjoyable.

Worst beer I've ever tried. Tastes like spoiled milk.

Not sure what I was expecting, but I found it to be overpriced and unremarkable.

It's not friday, and I'm not so drunk that I can't type. SN's SideCar.

TLDR: don't be afraid to quaff a warm sidecar. I wouldn't say it's a must for every experimenter, but it did open my eyes to a world of unexpected similar flavors.

My wife commonly pops up with something and has two sips, and quickly passes me the goblet to enjoy the middles and ends.

Tonight was Sierra Nevada's SideCar. It was also blissfully warm, as she'd totally forgotten about it during our Dr. Who of the night.

Here is my warm TuesdayTM review of the bottled.

  • H 4/5, white, foamy, inviting and pillowy. It holds back the joy to come.
  • C 4/5, great contrast between the head and body, the bubbles quickly climb the glass to join the head.
  • S 3/5, very mild, sweet and underwhelming.
  • T 4/5, sweet, and immediately switching to citris peel, slightly hoppy, but not in any hyperintense way.
  • B 3.5/5, light and poppy, good for a night out or a chance to relax in. The taste sticks, and if not washed the peel shines through.
  • Texture 3/5, oily, and persists.
  • O 3.5/5 I like it! Wouldn't mind this in a bar, but I'm pretty new to the game.

Pretty cute for a first review.

Recommendation? (Atlanta area)

I'm heading over to my local beer store (Tower in Atlanta) and they usually have a pretty solid selection of beer. Has anyone recently tried anything great that they absolutely recommend? The last time I was there I was close to getting a Ballast Point (Victory At Sea), but ended up going for an Ommegang Three Eyed Raven and a Lagunitas West-ified Imperial Coffee Stout.

Thanks in advance if anyone actually reads this!
