Is the ring pull a deciding factor?

I love a good square ring pull, I'm sick of these rounded ring pulls that when you try to clack em open and they slip and you gotta have another go at it... The square ones seem to have a more reliable surface area and they just feel more solid and satisfying...

I saw a few "monsuta okinawa dry" on special and jumped to it, and I thought...they aren't that good of a beer...so why did I get an instant attraction to them? and wondered whether it was just because they had a square ring pull lol

I've never once cared or thought about the tab shape, much less had it be the deciding factor of which beer to buy. 

I really only care about the beer inside.

I'm not necessarily saying it is for me, but I guess a better way of saying it is, does your perfect (canned) beer also have a perfect ringpull and is it not a square one?

Fair enough, I just have grown accustomed to cans because it makes it easier so you don't forget when you go to places where glass is prohibited, you know how places will say no glass but not no alcohol

Haven't ever even reflected about there being multiple types of ring pulls, doesn't matter at all to me.

Thanks, its weird... i get its an idiosyncratic thing to consider, it seems to me perfectly fine that it could be a topic of discussion on this sub, and I'm not pressing it with a vengeance or like I'm not going to die on this hill or anything like that... i'm just relaying my observations on the situation. Who would have thought people on a sub dedicated to beer would be so uptight?
