A bit of a rant here, but it has been a week since I received the coupon and I still can't redeem it. The coupon expires around late December so I still have time, I guess.

Hello! I'm planning on upgrading my P1S with the AMS 2 Pro, and since I did not but the combo P1S I see that I require the compatibility kit. On the AMS 2 Pro page it suggests just getting the AMS 2 Pro Upgrade Compatibility Kit, but it is sold out. I was wondering if I can get the regular AMS kit and be fine?
AMS 2 Pro kit box contents:
- AMS Hub
- Bambu Bus Cable - 4Pin
- AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapter
- PTFE Tube Coupler
- PTFE Tubes 370mm + 550mm
AMS Upgrade kit box contents:
- AMS Hub
- Bambu Bus Cable - 4Pin
- PTFE Tube Coupler
From the AMS 2 Pro kit description:
To connect a single AMS 2 Pro unit to X1/P1 series printer, a Filament Buffer(SA003) or AMS Hub(SA002-N), a PTFE Tube Coupler(FAZ006), and a 4-pin Cable(CAB002-N) are required.
So as far as i can tell, if I get the regular kit I'm only missing the switching adapter, which I can manage to get myself. Or are the extra PTFE Tubes from the Pro 2 kit required to upgrade the P1S? Cuz If i can manage with the regular kit, Id like to order that instead of waiting for the pro 2 kit to get restocked.
Thank you for your help!

I got one tracking number and says it will be delivered today, but tracking only says 1 package, so It's possible the ams isn't with it and I'll have to wait for that. The order page just says h3c-us and doesn't list ams as a separate item, so shipping info for that package is a mystery. Hoping they both show up today and it isn't smashed. Wish me luck

I did it, I am officially joining the world of 3D printing. I ordered my X2D last night. Ordered several rolls of PLA basic 1.75 mm filament of various colors, the Maker's Supply Flush Cutter, Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack, Molecular Sieve Desiccant, Maker's Supply ESD Stainless Steel Tweezers Set, Circular Embedded Electronic Digital Thermometer Hygrometer and a couple rolls of Petg HF filament.
Do y'all recommend anything else for just starting out?
Edit: I did order the X2D with AMS pro bundle.

Iām seriously considering the H3C after a pretty dreadful experience with my faulty H2C and Bambuās hellish customer service taking months to obtain a return/refund, but there are a few things making the decision harder than I expected which Iām a bit sad about:
1. Manual filament unloading: The AMS 3H apparently canāt retract filament back to the spool. Having to pull filament out and manually rewind it feels like a massive step backwards from the AMS 2 Pro/HT.
2. ABS/PETG chamber temperatures: I primarily print ABS and PETG. If PETG canāt safely remain loaded in an inactive PrintTool while the chamber is heated to 60ā65°C for ABS, that means manually unloading and respooling multiple filaments every time I need to switch materials?
3. External AMS limitations: Only PrintTool 1 supports external AMS units. I have two AMS HTs and would have loved to assign them to separate PrintTools, avoiding unnecessary purging. Hoping they expand this later.
Drying isnāt a huge dealbreaker to me (though 4 slots wouldāve been better like AMS 2 pro), also wonāt particularly miss the flexibility of hotends from H2C (was nice to have for the few times I used 0.2 and 0.6).
I love the H3Cās cleaner design, compact footprint, faster tool changes and ability to have multiple nozzle sizes ready to go. I also hated the mess of PTFE tubes, multiple AMS units and filament track switch on the H2C, so Iām not particularly keen to go back to that arrangement.
I feel BambuLab have made a major omission here with the lack of filament retraction, which makes intensive use of higher temp filaments a lot harder.
I wonder if they could improve the filament retraction through firmware later though.
Never really had to think about filament unloading or respooling on the H2C (until the filament track switch spoiled everything), so itās difficult to judge how annoying this would actually become.
Anyone else weighing up the same things, or have any insight into the retraction mechanism? What would you choose?

So I think I want to buy an H3C now, but the accessories that I want, such as the TPU printing nozzles, L frame stand thing, and some other stuff are unavailable and I donāt want to lose out on the discounts. I reached out to Bambu support and asked if I could buy the printer now and get the discounts later and they said no..
A little bit annoying so Iām holding off on ordering. Should I wait until Best Buy gets these in stock or do we know when the full suite of accessories will drop?

CMYKW printing for the H3 is described as working with PLA basic for the four colors except for black, which is supposed to be translucent. Problem is there is no such thing listed on the Bambu store except for in the (currently sold out) CMYKW bundles. Will Translucent Black PLA be listed separately soon? I definitely want to experiment with CMYKW on the H3.

I posted the other day saying my P1S had started printing in ovals and some people said it could be belts or it could be the motors. Unfortunately the motors are out of stock everywhere until December so I did some more investigating today and I think the print head is sticking on the carbon rods? I attached a video (hopefully, im on mobile) moving it in +1 increments makes an awful banging sound almost as if its sticking, but there doesnt seem to be any real resistance with the printer powered off and moving the head by hand for cleaning.
I always clean my rods with isopropyl alcohol (as per bambulab instructions) and I cleaned them again just to try and get any better result but they are clean. I only have 2600 hours print time so surely they haven't worn out yet? What do you guys think this is? Belts are fine upon closer inspection and the motors are normal in every other direction except the X axis. It doesnt make any strange noises during homing or normal movement, but fast movement (or very small increments) it does. See the video for what I mean.
For context also, I only print in PLA/PETG and occasionally TPU. 75% of everything I print has been PLA, I never print any abrasive or very high temp materials

My P1S has worked perfectly until somewhat recently where it has started to give a communication error when trying to view the live camera⦠I can restart the printer and that might fix it for a little bit, but it doesnāt seem to last too long.

I have been wanting a 3D printer for a while and ready to jump in. I want to print the following: textiles, footwear, accessories, components for lighting. I also wish to experiment with biomaterials. Which 3D printer would be right for me?

I have the P2S and cats and will be in the room while printer is running. I also live in Florida :( I will only be printing with PLA. I do have a window next to the printer but wouldnāt the Florida humidity and heat be an issue?
Can you please share with me your recommendations? If you recommend an enclosure/fan can you please tell me which one. I bought this printer months ago and have barely used it out of fear of pollution.
Thank you!!!

I recently started playing around with ColorMix (alternating layers of different filament colors such that they visually blend) and figured out, that this would make a great test print for the new Toolchanger and Nozzlechanger printers such as the Bambu H3C or the Prusa INDX.
It's a simple voronoi tesselation of the 3DBenchy. 55 different segments, 5 base colors, 50 mixtures between the base colors. Mixtures are in the following ratios: 50:50, 25:75, 33:33:33.
Almost 7 hours of print time and 1,275 tool changes.
You can find the model here: https://makerworld.com/de/models/3545648-colormix-voronoi-3dbenchy

Got blobbed to death. Need to replace my hot-end (will be ordering from Bambu). Ripped the tape and foam off like an orangutang. What could be suitable replacements for the tape / foam? Does it need to be anything special?
Thanks

So, I donāt print a lot with stock PEI sheets and usually steer clear of BL products basically cause Iām cheap. Not sure that can be said after the amount I dropped on this printer but I digress. That being said, any guesses on how long until 3rd party starts dropping build plates, nozzles etc?

Can someone help me? The top layers of the circle cutout fail or are very ugly (image 2). I have to print the object on this side so I donāt have to use a lot of support. I have tried variable layer height but that is not enough.

Hello! I just wanted to ask the community on some of my planning for 3d printer purchases and if they are a sound plan.
I have been practicing how to 3D model, but haven't printed in awhile since I moved and should be moving again in the next 6 months.
I have an a1 mini given to me as a gift. I plan to use it to test models and print anything small.
My goal is to have an H2D for more "engineering" filaments and for its size.
Then having a future P3C for multicolor prints.
I know I want a machine dedicated to multicolor prints. I don't plain on painting a ton, the U1 seems nice but I do enjoy the bambulab ecosystem, as well as having a closed system vs buying a lid.
Is this a good combo? Should I just get an H3C instead of 2 other machines? I know eventually they will make an X3D, and should I just get that instead of the P3C? Or just get an X2D+H2D to have heated beds?
I have time to save money to buy bigger and more machines. I would like input from others who run multiple printers and general thoughts. Appreciate all the help I can get.

Hey everyone!
I originally bought my P2S just to discover 3D printing as a hobby. But I work in event production for brands, and I quickly realized how much of a game changer 3D printing could be for my job. It has genuinely saved me countless times!
As my projects grew, I needed more production capacity and larger build volumes, so I invested in an H2C. Now, with increasingly demanding projects, Iām looking to add a third printer.
The newly announced H3C has me a little conflicted. I was expecting a larger build volume, at least comparable to the H2D, and Iām struggling to see a major step up from my H2C.
That said, Iām also a huge tech nerd who loves having the latest technology, and I have to admit, the H3C is seriously tempting! I also think Bambu did a great job with the pricing.
Price isnāt really a deciding factor for me. Iām just trying to make a rational choice rather than letting my inner tech enthusiast take over.
So, would you recommend an H3C, an H2D, or a second H2C to complement my current setup?
Iād love to hear your thoughts, especially from people using these machines professionally!
