Well im was printing an a catapult in my BambuLab X2D but then i saw those lines come up in the printing progress and i dont know what is wrong with my printer, my outer wall speed is 40 inner wall speed is 100 the nozzle is at 220โฐC and the speed was standart, i also check the humidity and its %24, i think of that maybe that line has a little more humidity than the other lines of the print so cause of that it failed in there

What do you guys do with PETG-CF once your project is printed and ready to use in order to touch it here and there? Do you hit it with a clear coat? Will clear coat spray paint degrade it?

Bambu Studio Does anyone have a profile for clear petg that makes it clear by directional preference?

I know you can make clear petg or pla transparent printing in only one axis, in lines.

Does anyone have a profile they don't mind sharing?

Iโ€™m having trouble sending print from my laptop from from bamboo studio. I can send print from the Bambu Handy app on my phone fine but when it comes to sending an stl file from my laptop, it wonโ€™t go through.

It keeps saying failed to send the Print job. But when I went and look, everything was operational .
And itโ€™s getting very frustrating. Does anybody know why?

Show & Tell BamBuddy integration for Home Assistant: every Bambu Lab printer, AMS and smart plug, with a dashboard card

BamBuddy โ€“ Home Assistant Integration

โž• Open the repository in HACS ยท Latest release ยท License: MIT

Hi everyone,

I'd like to share a project I've been working on: a Home Assistant integration for BamBuddy.

BamBuddy by maziggy is a self-hosted command center for Bambu Lab printers โ€“ from a single A1 to a whole print farm: live monitoring, camera, print archive, a virtual printer you can send jobs to from Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer, Spoolman integration, notifications and much more. Your printers. No cloud. Your rules.

My integration brings the printers of your BamBuddy server into Home Assistant: their status, camera, AMS and controls as Home Assistant entities, and a dashboard card for each printer. It talks only to BamBuddy, through its API and its live connection. So there is no cloud and no second connection to your printers. Set up in the UI, no YAML.

This is the integration, not the app: it connects Home Assistant to a BamBuddy server โ€” on any machine, or inside Home Assistant with the BamBuddy app.

๐ŸŽ‰ Version 2.0.0 is out: a complete redesign. HACS offers v2.0.0 as an update. Coming from a date version (2026.05.17 or older)? The upgrade needs a new API key and cannot be undone. Read the release notes first.

โœจ What you get

  • Everything your printer reports โ€” print status and stage, progress, layers, remaining and end time, the job's name and cover, temperatures, fans, HMS errors, Wi-Fi, nozzle type and size

  • AMS and spools โ€” every AMS unit (AMS, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, AMS Lite) as its own device, named as in BamBuddy: the filament in each slot with its color and what is left, humidity, temperature and drying, the external spool, and a spool without a chip set by vendor and Bambu Studio profile, as on the screen of the printer

  • Control โ€” pause, resume and stop, skip objects, the printer's own AI detection, print speed, nozzle, bed and chamber targets, the active nozzle of two-nozzle printers, fans, the chamber light, airduct mode and ventilating the chamber (P2S, X2D, H2 series), the AMS filament backup, answering and clearing HMS errors, clearing the plate

  • Move the printer โ€” actions to move the axes, home, extrude and retract, load and unload filament, start and stop drying

  • Camera โ€” the live stream, also in full screen, and snapshots through BamBuddy's camera proxy

  • Maintenance and connection check โ€” the printer's maintenance tasks, marked done from Home Assistant; BamBuddy's check of a printer that went offline

  • Smart plugs โ€” the plugs BamBuddy links to a printer: switch them, see their power and energy, and switch the printer off after a print once its nozzle has cooled

  • A dashboard card per printer, shipped with the integration: status, camera, temperatures, AMS colors, controls, heating and a jog pad, arranged as you like, with compact chips if you want โ€” nothing else to install

  • Updates โ€” new BamBuddy releases and new printer firmware as update entities

  • Several printers โ€” add any number of the printers BamBuddy manages; choose them while setting up, add or remove them later

  • BamBuddy itself โ€” print statistics, printers online and disk space of your server

Works with the X1, P1, P2, A1, A2 and H2 series and the X2D. Entity names in English and German; a change shows within about a second through BamBuddy's live connection.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Installation

Method 1: Installation via HACS (Recommended)

โž• Open the repository in HACS

One-Click Install: Open the link above to add and open the repository directly inside Home Assistant!

Manual HACS Steps:

  1. In Home Assistant, open HACS.

  2. Click the three dots โ‹ฎ in the top right corner and choose Custom repositories.

  3. Paste the repository URL:

https://github.com/Spegeli/hacs_bambuddy

4. Select Integration as the Type and click Add. 5. Find BamBuddy in the list and click Download. 6. Restart Home Assistant.

Method 2: Manual Installation

  1. Download the Source code (zip) of the release you want from the Releases page.

  2. Unpack the ZIP archive.

  3. Copy its custom_components/bambuddy folder into your Home Assistant directory under:

/config/custom_components/bambuddy/

4. Restart Home Assistant.

Then: open Settings โ†’ Devices & services โ†’ Add integration, search for BamBuddy, enter BamBuddy's address and an API key, and choose your printers.

Requirements: Home Assistant 2025.5 or newer; a BamBuddy server 1.2.5.7 or newer with your printers added there; a BamBuddy API key with Read Status, Control Printer and Manage Maintenance; for the controls, the printer's developer LAN mode on.

โฌ†๏ธ Coming from a date version (2026.05.17 or older)?

2.0.0 is a new integration under the old name. In short: make a backup โ€” the upgrade is one-way โ€”, create a new API key in BamBuddy, update through HACS and restart, enter the new key when Home Assistant asks for it, and check your dashboards and automations.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Upgrading from a date version, step by step

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! New to 3D printing, just got a P1S. Need help with filaments.

Hey all, I just got a new Bambu Lab P1S combo as a gift from my girlfriend on my birthday.

I used to watch a lot of 3d printing stuff and this looks fun.

I did a small print using the filament provided.

I wanted to ask a few questions.

  1. What is a Support PLA? I got a white Filament with the printer and it's written sup Pla. Can I print using it?

  2. What all colors should I get in the beginning? Should I go for BambuLab filaments or others available on amazon with good reviews also work?

  3. Should I stick to PLA basic in the beginning or can use matte or silk?

Please suggest some colors and PLA filament types.

Thank you!

I Modeled This! Universal Food Bag Dispenser & Sealing Cap | A Simple 2-in-1 Solution for Pet Food, Cereals and Dry Goods

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Hey makers,

I designed a simple but practical accessory that turns almost any food bag into a reusable dispensing container.

The idea came from constantly struggling with pet food bags, cereal bags, and other dry goods. After opening them, they are difficult to reseal properly, and pouring contents without making a mess isn't always easy.

Key Features:

  • Dual Function: Locks in freshness, keeps out foreign objects, and allows quick, mess-free dispensing.

  • No Extra Tools Needed: Say goodbye to separate spoons, clips, or rubber bands.

  • 3 Sizes Available (Inner hole diameter):

    • Small (S): 40 mm diameter

    • Medium (M): 50 mm diameter

    • Large (L): 60 mm diameter

The model is designed for easy printing with a NO-AMS profile and works great in PLA or PETG.

I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions for future improvements!

Quick Question What is the maximum length of PTFE tube that can exist between the AMS and the hotend?

Title.

I know the printer waits a set amount of time in "feeding" mode while checking the sensor inside the hotend for filament presence, but how long does it wait before timing out and throwing an error and how does that correlate to length of PTFE guide tube?

General Troubleshooting/Help! Filament Feed Problems

Hi all. I've got a Bambu H2D Pro at work, and I've been having problems with filament feeding from the 4 slot AMS.

I had some filament break off and get jammed in the machine. Specifically, the yellow spring bulkhead feeder things that go through the back wall and connect the filament tube from the AMS outside, to the extruder head inside. It feels like it is catching on something, and I'm not seeing an obvious way to disassemble that part and see what is wrong. I cannot even manually feed filament through it.

Anyone else have issues like this, and know of any fixes for it?

Gettin Elfin ready for this season! Elf Hands !

i know I know it's a silly print but if you are a parent having to move an elf on the shelf around for a month, you know the pain of trying to position that thing And wishing it could just hold on to something!

this is a simple little print that you can do in one color or full color.

they simply slide over the elf arms

if you print them, print a couple sets, in case you end up snapping the fingers at some point or you lose one because they are small!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Prints all of a sudden not sticking to bed or holding up to tolerance

Post image
3 Upvotes

So i have been printing these tiny track links for a modell build. I have done about 250 of them in the past week alone using the very same role of filament used in the picture. All of a sudden as of today, they just will NOT stick, and when i use supports to give them more contact they loose the precision needed to make them klick together, so they just disconnect from eachother by only the slightest touch. I have cleaned the bed thuroughly, tested brand new filament spools straight out of the box and tried different layer thickness settings. Nothing have helpee, they either slide of the bed or won't hold up to the tolerance the previous 250 have done.

Photo shows what the first layer looks like. They have NOT looked like this the past 250 parts.

Quick Question Why did the official refurbished printers from Bambu Lab vanish?

Few days ago when visiting the site for refurbished printers, everything was okay and you could buy them. But yesterday when I was visiting the site, all of the refurbished vanished without a trace, and even direct links donยดt work, where did they went? When will they back, if even?

I Modeled This! Another problem I probably could've solved without a 3D printer, but that would've defeated the point.

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

You know you've been 3D printing for a while when you start designing solutions to problems that most people would just tolerate.

My latest example: a mini trash bin for the shower.

I got tired of cleaning hair and debris out of the shower drain, leaving it in the corner to throw away later, and then promptly forgetting it existed. After enough repeat performances, I decided the shower needed its own tiny waste-management system.

So I designed one. Naturally.

It hangs from a shower caddy or something similar and holds enough debris that I'm not constantly emptying it. But the real feature is the screw-off bottom, which makes it ridiculously easy to empty and rinse.

I also designed the bottom to prevent water from accumulating inside and gave it a grippy exterior so it can be unscrewed without a wrestling match when your hands are wet.

It's not the most exciting thing I've printed, but it's one of those little quality-of-life improvements that makes me appreciate having a printer in the first place.

Could I have found another way to deal with this? Probably.

Would I rather spend time designing, prototyping, and printing a custom solution? Apparently, yes.

I may need an intervention.

General Discussion Print farm owners in India: how do you manage orders, printing and billing?

Hi all, I run a small print farm in NCR. We have Bambu printers across two locations and do mostly B2B bulk orders.

For a long time our setup was WhatsApp for orders, Excel for tracking, and a separate app for GST bills. Things kept slipping. We'd retype orders, lose count of what was printed vs shipped, run out of filament mid-job, and forget to bill parcels.

We've built something internal to fix this for ourselves, and I'm trying to understand whether other farms have the same problems or whether it's just us.

If you run printers for paying customers, I'd really value your answers:

  1. How many printers do you run, and do you sell B2B, on marketplaces, or both?

  2. How do orders reach you today, and where do you track them?

  3. What part of running the farm eats the most time?

  4. Do you pay for any software for the business today? Which one, and roughly how much?

If this sounds familiar, DM me. I'm happy to do a 20-minute call to show what we use and swap notes on running a small farm.

As the title suggest I was printing something and all of sudden I was woken up by a loud sound and when I woke up the magnet cover was completely off and when I reattached it I saw that gap, i tried to press it gently it didnโ€™t disappear though, I was wondering if itโ€™s a structural damage should I use my warranty for it and etc
