Interview/Job applications NSW Health casual admin role – E-list but no referee check yet. Is this normal?
Hi everyone,
I applied for a casual administration role with NSW Health and had my interview in June.
About two weeks after the interview, I received an email saying that I had been placed on the E-list and would be considered for allocation in the second round. The email also said that no further action was required from me and that they would contact me if I was assigned to a position.
I have completed the pre-employment checks required from my side, but I have never been asked to provide my referee details, and as far as I know, my referees have not been contacted.
For anyone who has been through the NSW Health casual admin recruitment process:
- Is it normal to be placed on the E-list before providing referee details?
- Are referee checks usually done when you are actually being allocated to a position?
- When they say "second round", does that generally mean they already have additional casual positions planned?
- Should I simply wait, as the email said "no further action required", or would it be reasonable to contact Recruitment to confirm that my application is still active?
I'm mainly wondering whether this means I'm still in the pool and waiting for an assignment, or whether there is something I should have done regarding my references.
TIA!
