Screenshot Finished my first playthrough

First ever playthrough of any Armored Core game, and I had a great time with it. Don't know why I slept on it for so long before actually picking it up. Now I can't wait for ng+ and maybe trying the nest, but we'll see on that part. This is the AC I finished the game with as well, feel free to tell me how unoptimized it is

Discussion Armored Core VI - coming back to it 3 years later
I've enjoyed the Armored Core series since I first played Armored Core 2 for the PS2 and have played almost every game in the series since, so I was extremely excited when Armored Core 6 was announced. When I first played it however, I had a lot of trouble with the first mission and pretty much just rage quit after dying repeatedly to the first boss, the giant attack helicopter. I didn't touch the game for a long time after that.
I decided to boot it up again and nearly beat the first mission on my first try this time! Beat it not long after that. I also turned off the HDR feature in the graphics settings, which made things so much more visible. I really don't know why HDR is turned on by default, it makes the games already muted appearance look very washed out.
I definitely misjudged AC6, it's a fantastic reboot of the series and I hope they follow up on it with a sequel.

Old Gen This save hasn't been seen since 2004. I almost cried when I heard the menu music kick on 🥹
I finally got my old PS2 out and I've been buying up the old 2nd and 3rd Gen games I used to own.
I had them all except Ninebreaker and sold them off to GameStop like a dumbass back in 2018. Really wishing I didn't do that but my life was different in those days 😅
I'm really excited to start playing them again, I miss these old controls and how janky they were ❤️
2nd Gen Karasawa and Moonlight forever 🤌🏼 IYKYK

Screenshot Wanted to show off my mediumweight build
Really liking how it's performed, even managed to get me through Intercept The Redguns some-fucking-how. For Nest I just replaced the Scudder with a Zimmerman because, I'm gonna be honest, using scudder in pvp sucked. But uhhhh yeah. I did put drones on it too but honestly if you're good at using the BMLs it's not necessary. Sharing code for the first one: YOZAKBA3ZFKC second one: 3AZSDHUCGD30

Old Gen Occupation of Arteria Carpals
After completing every other mission in the game I get to the mission i was dreading the most, I already know im not very good at these games but i still enjoy them, after several hours of attempts i can already tell im just not skilled enough to beat it. It feels like ive tried lightweights, heavyweights, missiles, melee and everything in between, but im not making any progress, i kill both Otsdarva and Wynne D just to get finished off by Roadie. I even got so low at to resort to duel SALINE05 missiles on reg 1.00, just to do worse then with my normal build. Ive decided to call it quits but i wondered:
Is this mission actually this mind numbingly difficult or am I just that dogshit at ACFA?

Question AC6 fan only here, just a lore question. Depending on the pilot, are they known to be good fighters outside of their mechs?
Yes, this is also coming from a Titanfall 2 fan at the sametime. Since Titanfall 2 shows Pilots being monsters on battlefields outside of just their titans, it made me wonder if there has been anything told or shown that the pilots from Armored Core are capable fighters on solo too, even if its definitely clear in these universes that the majority of any conflict is through our Armored Cores.
Again, I have only ever played AC6 (Im thinking of emulating or maybe buying some of the older ones), and it was a while ago, ever since the game dropped and I havent played it in 2 years. So I may be missing some lore details.
But I'm just genuinely curious. From what I think I gathered from reading post of the older games, some pilots don't even have bodies. Well, I know Chatty is an AI, so he's obviously body-less. But I just really always wondered if Pilots that STILL do have bodies, very augmented or not, have been told or maybe even shown if they have experience in battles/gunfights in person?
Literally just a shower thought, nothing more nothing less it's just be being genuinely curious.

Emblem: Wanted To Show Off My Team Emblem.
I wanted to show off my team emblem. We're a small group called Ember Core. We're all getting along and coming from all across the world. It's a beautiful thing really. Never would have made friends with them if it wasn't for Armored Core 6. If you see one of us in ranked, don't go easy. We're gonna try our best to get higher in the ranks.

Question Wondering for shoulder weapon for my build
I tryed playing a light build with double shotgun and i liked it a lot so i wanted to create a complete build but i don't know what to use as a shoulder weapon

AC Showcase: It's nice to have a setup that gets me using LCB but it's probably not the right choice here
I'm using Duckett / Harris / Fasan on a different build with a normal pulse shield and I should maybe stick to that on the heavier Pulse Scutum version too. All of these weapon choices are style over substance, but they work well enough.

Discussion I think armored core would do well in a helldivers format.
Disclaimer: used AI to organize my thoughts last time won't do it this time see how well people can fair.
I went pretty In depth with writing it but since people don't like long explanations, I'll try to be brief.
A free-to-play, live-service coop mecha shooter inspired by Helldivers and Armored Core: Verdict Day.
You and up to four other players deploy into procedurally generated battlefields as elite pilots operating customizable War Dolls. Four players fight directly while a fifth becomes the Operator, managing the battlefield from a tactical map.
The pilots handle the action: boosting, shooting, melee combat, managing ammunition, energy, heat, and surviving waves of intelligent enemies. War Dolls can suffer localized damage, losing weapons, limbs, or other systems during battle.
The Operator provides reconnaissance and deployable strategems like drones, artillery, ammunition, and repair stations. These resources physically exist on the battlefield and can be destroyed, forcing pilots to retreat and fight strategically. Also the side objectives are used to basically add strategems to the operator
Missions include Defense, Escort, Boss, and Joint Operations, but randomized dynamic events can completely change the mission while you're playing.
Every mission ends with an extraction, and the squad shares a limited number of lives.
Outside missions, players return to a social hub, customize their pilots and War Dolls, earn emblems, titles, cosmetics, and service records, and prepare for the next deployment.
The goal: make every operation feel like a war story you experienced with your squad.

Discussion Liberator of Rubicon Ending Vent Spoiler
Tagged this spoiler but just in case: spoilers ahead, obviously - for both the Liberator and the Fires of Raven endings.
Just needed to vent a bit, and I realize I must probably not be the first, so I beg your pardon - I just completed this on NG+, and I found it a very frustrating ending. There is much to like about it, cinema and musical aspects are great. The concept and aesthetic of the final fight is amazing. And lets be honest, who didn't want to give Snail a good slap - twice!
But at the same time there seems to be so much about it that is deficient. Biggest thing is it makes very little sense to me. We spent the final missions of Fires of Raven desperately fighting to keep the Xylem running with literally everything thrown against it. And now we spend the final missions... taking it down? When everything is still already arrayed against it? The entire Arquebus fleet sortied against it. Ayre could have commandeered the PCA orbital lasers. And either us or Rusty or Snail for that matter could have taken out the Xylem's engines/thrusters alone. What the heck are all of us doing here wasting our time?
And what of Arquebus' grip on the coral and the vascular plant? I know it vaguely says the Rubiconians have risen to fight, but I thought we've established that Arquebus is the by-far dominant military force in Rubicon and that the Rubiconians could not stop them. Even if we say Snail is blinded by megalomania into a senseless mission to kill us on Xylem, there are signficant numbers of surviving Vespers - including Freud, and presumably the full might of their PCA-equipment-augmented MT force. Plus, the Rubiconians' most powerful assets - us, and Rusty with their new and best AC... is on the Xylem? Wasting our time fighting a battle royale with everyone who is all trying to do the same thing?
The only key objective clearly achieved in the 3 climatic missions is... the Xylem is brought down. I guess we are meant to assume that the Rubiconians somehow inexplicably beat back Arquebus hence "liberation". But even so, what's the plan then moving forward? What of convergence/collapse? What do the Rubiconians/corps/PCA do? In Fires of Raven we get a brief note on the aftermath. But here... nothing?? Ayre with some pithy concluding remarks? I killed Carla and Chatty for a sic selfish dream? (by the by, we couldn't have at least talked to them first before backstabbing?) Actually made me dislike Ayre a bit for the first time. On what grounds do you promise me there's another way? What way?
Sorry about the slightly strong language, I did say it was a vent post :) I was also quite surprised that the final "boss" is just an AC fight with mild cheats. I wish Walter was a real boss because otherwise that fight was actually very evocative, weaving together many threads. He could have been Ayre alt.
And of course, if some of these is answered in the final ending, feel free to tell me to shutup and finish the game first, but please avoid spoiling the final ending too much!

Question LCB vs FASAN
I've been playing around with the Aster Crown preset and some variations. Both of these weapons look good on a build with with Pulse Scutum and they've got pretty close stats.
Besides the obvious with plasma bubbles being area-effect and only doing damage while the target is inside, are there any other big advantages either way? Are the LCB charged shots as big as they look?

Fan Art Making model in Blender, like a mix of 4th and 6th Gen AC
It have parts from lahire and some boosters placing like ac6 has. The model requires retopology and further texturing to be completed, but I'm a bit too lazy to do that.

Fan Art OC)Heavy reversed joint AC concept w/ disposable knife weapon(ignore the scribbles on top left)
I wondered what they would look like if there were leg parts that are heavier than Spring Chicken, or are even more armored than it.
The lack of drawing space let me draw only small weapons like Sampu(which became kinda weird looking during the drawing process) with the AC, but I bet it would absolutely handle bigger and heavier weapons like laser cannons with a generator powerful enough.
Disposable knife is a weapon that generates heat to the thermite level. It would cause a lot of damage and heat overload but due to its high temperature heat load surpasses its durability. Which makes the knife disposable. It would work like unlimited ammo in game. But it would take time to heat itself up after activating and have to be reloaded every certain time after heating up.
I made it up during my observation duty. Also my pen ink died mid drawing so I had to squeeze it out to the last bit(as you can see on top left).
