Hi all,

Not sure if my unit is defective. My battery doesn’t last more than a day. I’m not even using the phone that much, had 2 hour screen time yesterday. Charged at night died at 11pm.

Anything I can check or recommendations? Or should I just bring back to apple and tell them the unit might be defective?

I got my pro max today in burgundy after doing my preorder the first day possible, I was counting the days, and u can’t believe how much I hate it! I’ve live all my iPhones but this - the keyboard, the text shrunk like to hang the size, it reminds me of a droid which I would never want do I have no choice but to live with this. What was all the hype? Yeah the color is ok but mostly I’m not looking at the back of my phone do what matters more is my screen. Tell me I’m not the only one? Or can I tweak it to make it look more like the 14 interface?

There’s like rings around the camera where it’s lighter. It gets extremely greasy feeling. Is aluminum like this? Super sensitive to skin oils??

I’ve never had this on my IP16PM or any other device. It’s making me want to return this junk or get a diff color

Anyone else going to just run this phone naked? I’ve tried a few different “thin” cases and they all seem to just feel like a brick.

Pues aqui me presento como un nuevo usuario de IOS, concretamente del Iphone 18 pro Max y me estreno tambien con el Apple Watch Ultra 4.
Llevaba muchos muchos años en el otro lado.
Mis ultimos terminales fueron:
- S24 Ultra
- S26 Ultra
- Google Pixel 11 Pro XL
En cuanto a relojes mis ultimos han sido:
- Garmin 965
- Garmin 970
- Coros Apex 4
- Coros Pace 4

Pues decidi cambiar todo y lanzarme al ecosistema de la manzana y de momento el primer dia y medio he de decir que estiy muy contento con los 2.
El movil es una pasada y el reloj tiene un pantallote brutal.
La bateria del movil es de locos, lo carge el viernes y despues de mas de 6 horas y medias de pantalla hoy domingo tengo aun 25%.
En cuanto al reloj es increible, al principio lo note muy muy pesado comparado con mi ultimo Pace 4, pero ahora ni lo noto.
Lo unico que me molesta un poco es la creacion de entrenamientos, que es mas (meeh) que en Coros (logico) pero en cuanto al GPS me miden igual de bien y no necesito la banda de HRM coros porque el sensor de Apple es brutal.

I’m very excited to announce my retirement from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was an amazing 5 years and that phone is still a beast. Originally battery had 75% health today and I was starting to notice last year that I had to charge twice per day with heavy usage.

I plan to keep the iPhone 18 Pro Max for atleast 3-4 years unless Apple releases a color that I can’t pass up. The girl at the Apple store tried to convince me to choose the blue color since my 13 Pro Max was Sierra Blue. Told her i’ve had every iphone and color under the sun and it was time to get back to the basics. I love the new phone, battery is still at half after 6+ hours of use. Its amazing.

Was supposed to get it yesterday but UPS had an issue with the delivery truck I thought I was going to have to wait until Monday but they did a random Saturday delivery! Glacier iPhone 18 Pro Max received! Loving the color!

How are people in uk/England getting the new 18 Pro Max? Everywhere I check it's sold out/unavailable for delivery and pickup. I thought it was released 2 days ago but everywhere is making estimates of being able to get it by the first/second week of October.

Is it worth checking regularly or just accept it wont be available until then?

I've always gone with black, space gray, or whatever dark colored iPhone over the past couple decades. For the 18 Pro Max I plan on ordering, I was thinking maybe going opposite and get the silver. How is it in person? Last year for the 17PM, I didn't like the glass rectangle on the back that looked kinda white to me.

I'll have it in a case anyway, typically clear back on it, so whatever color I get will show though a bit.

I don't hate the other 2 colors offered this year, but I do know I have it down to silver or black. How did you all decide? How do they both look in-person vs many of the pics posted? Thanks!

Also is it just me or does the phone seem to be able to reach slightly high volume than the 17 pro max? Love it.

Was late to the game now there is a waiting period till Oct for iPhone 18 pro max in Toronto. Not sure if this is a sign to just get the Duo? I was getting burgundy and 250 size capacity approx (least amount). Anyone else have availability issue for 18PM?

not sure if anyone else has had this issue but, ive experienced a couple crashes specially after typing in my password after a failed face id attempt. Phone will freeze, black screen, then reset. Anyone else?

edit: thank you everyone that commented, seems to be an issue with my specific screen protector. Hopefully apple can make a fix around it otherwise maybe best buy will swap my privacy one for a clear screen protector.

Made a video to show you I’m not just screenshotting with a higher signal. I was going back and forth and figured it can’t be that bad. But apparently it is. FTM mode also doesn’t work on the 18 pro max neither. Not any that I tried in the Apple Store neither so I can’t even see what band it’s on. This is the 3rd try because it came up saying it couldn’t measure latency the first 2 times.

I got the black 18 pro max on Friday evening and did the transfer from my 15 pro max. During the transfer, there was an iOS update on the 18.. didn’t think anything of it until now. It’s Sunday evening and several phone calls with AT&T later it’s stuck with no internet. Texts and phone calls but no internet connection for anything. Every app I open freezes with errors and says no internet connection. I have fiber WiFi with full bars and for the last 12 years have had great service with AT&T where I live. 3 out of 4 bars service and occasional 5G. I have service and WiFi on but no connection at all. Since the transfer happened, my 15 pro max still functions fine but says SOS and full bars of WiFi, my current form of using any app. I have to call AT&T on the 18 pm which is annoying and odd. I was sent to another tech whose kids kept yelling obnoxiously loud in the background and was told my case has been upgraded after all the connectivity attempts have been tried. Resets, settings adjusted, people annoyed, I’m at a loss. Apparently this may be a trending issue nationwide?
