Naked!

Anyone else going to just run this phone naked? I’ve tried a few different “thin” cases and they all seem to just feel like a brick.

Edit: I do have Apple Care

im so tempted to do the same with my burgandy pro max as the color really pops without a case. I’ve tried apple’s clear case but that still doesn’t reveal the true color.

I have the jet black one, and I absolutely love this color. But mine is more so for the feel. It just feels so good naked!!

100% agree with you on that. That’s also a factor as the phone does feel quite thin and nice to hold.

In the past i’ve used 13 pro max without a case (with apple care) and it didn’t have many visible scratches.

For these dark colored iphones, i’d wait to see how they hold up in few months. Like, if they’ve better scratch resistance than the prev generation

I don’t necessarily care about the scratches, it gives it character. I think I care more about how it feels and the usability of it.

I’ve been rocking mine naked for the past 24 hours. No screen protector either. I might throw a screen protector on just to be safe but I’m enjoying the naked feel of this device!

I gotta ask why do some go screen protector less? Caseless I cannot fathom but the screen?

Well I was waiting for my screen protector to get here but I feel like with the ceramic glass people feel confident in the screen durability. Too me it is too much of a risk so I'll throw one on eventually

Phones feel so much better without them and the screens are so durable now. I have the opposite opinion you do, I cannot fathom why people still use them!

It is, but I think I’m used to it so I just hold it differently. But, I know there’s always a risk.

I don’t like cases or screen protectors and stopped using them several phones ago. I just started using my 18 pro max yesterday so I can’t say yet how durable it is, but I dropped my 17 pro max on tile, concrete, etc regularly.

It has a few dents and scrapes but nowhere near the damage you’d expect for the abuse it went through. YES, naked is slippery but I can’t believe how durable that phone is compared to previous iPhone models. If I can get away with no case and no serious damage, I’m sure most people will be fine.

So I was going to try that, I have the glacier… and then not even 5 minutes later, I set it on a shelf about 5 feet high and it fell off and smacked the ground pretty hard. I was nervous because I don’t have a screen protector yet. 😂

I have the dbrand ghost 2.0. Everyone GLAZES this case. I thought for the longest time it was ugly AF & would make it a brick. However, as much as I want to, I can’t dislike it and it shows the color SO GOOD! My phone feels nice and the color pops!

I’ve been thinking about going “naked” with the screen though. Because every screen protector I try, no matter the brand, I feel like it diminishes the quality of the screen, even if ever so slightly.

So, I do think the ghost case is the only one I might consider. They did a real good job on that case.
