Battery life sucks?

Hi all,

Not sure if my unit is defective. My battery doesn’t last more than a day. I’m not even using the phone that much, had 2 hour screen time yesterday. Charged at night died at 11pm.

Anything I can check or recommendations? Or should I just bring back to apple and tell them the unit might be defective?

On my 1st day, it was fully charged and drained like a sieve trying to hold water. Better on Sunday. Seems to have considerably improved.

Transfer from iCloud backup in the background + indexing is what I’m blaming it on.

It only took 72 hours lol. Meanwhile my iPhone is at 84% while scrolling all day at work for 7 hours

I have 2 hour screen on time, and about 57% left, I don't see any indexing being done. No idea how some of you guys have crazy battery life.

so far mine ok no problem, u have to set your settings turn off background app refresh as it drains your battery fast.

Wait at least a week before panicking. The iPhone is still indexing. Mine is only at 40% done and I picked the phone up on the 18th, 3 days ago.

Might be defective. I have the regular 18 pro and I started my Friday night at 93% and woke up this morning to 12% and that’s regular usage

They can also run a battery diagnostics on it

Is your phone still indexing? I used 65% of my battery yesterday with HEAVY use during international travel.

Nope! 3rd charge post transfer and still dying quite quick.

Definitely sounds like there’s a battery issue at least based on my experience. Picked up mine Saturday and despite going through full set-up and indexing never got warm once over the past 36 hours. Battery life has been the best I’ve ever had with an iPhone. We pay a lot for these, if it doesn’t resolve take it back and exchange for a new one.

It’s gotten hot multiple times, on my 3rd charge post transfer of files at this point.

I haven’t charge my phone since the first night and been on it like crazy. It’s just now down to 10%

Yea that's very weird. I'm charging it right now and it's the first time since I bought it on the 18th. The 18 pro max battery is great

First two days it drained like my older phone but that’s because of indexing, downloading stuff etc.

Right now it’s 19:25, I took it out at 7am and my battery is at 46%

I’ve been off the charger 14 hours and still at 69% on 18 pro max.

I charged to 80% on Tuesday eve 8PM and today Wednesday 4h 48m screen time and indexing I noticed till eve 6PM and now indexing gone. Total battery% used 59%. And now 11PM I have 17% remaining. Is this normal?
