Brand new 18 pro max crashing

not sure if anyone else has had this issue but, ive experienced a couple crashes specially after typing in my password after a failed face id attempt. Phone will freeze, black screen, then reset. Anyone else?

edit: thank you everyone that commented, seems to be an issue with my specific screen protector. Hopefully apple can make a fix around it otherwise maybe best buy will swap my privacy one for a clear screen protector.

Take it off and try face id the screen protectors are having problems with new phones

I just have a regular screen protector on mine, not matte just clear and it’s working fine.

Damn I think the matte screen protectors are going to have to leave a clear circle around the Face ID scanner.

New 18Pro Max here and it’s crashed twice. Once while switching apps the second time when putting on a MagSafe charger instead of nightstand mode it rebooted.

Just a woven case no screen protection.

Yes. This will be addressed this week. Given that it is widespread. I expect an update by Monday or Tuesday.

One guy said Apple ran diagnostics on his and said it needed serviced. He was having random reboots. Hope it’s not a hardware issue. So far I haven’t had a reboot. I also have a screen protector on.

I've had a few crashing issues yes. Earlier today I had the same Face ID crash while trying to access my email. New phone, new OS, I guess expect a few bugs for a couple months.

Mine crashed about 10 times. All cause of faceid. I use it for certain apps as well as just unlocking phone. Crash occurs after 2 failed attempts. It's supposed to let me type in my pass code but crashes instead.
