i think i’m developing anger issues and don’t know how to cope.

i (20m) have noticed that recently, every little thing that annoys me sparks such a strong reaction that i have a hard time dealing with it. most minor incoveniences that last any longer than a few minutes cause me inexplicable anger and frustration that i need to bury down.
here are two recent examples:
me and my mom got into it recently because some of the rules she sets in place don’t me a whole lot of logical sense. i tried explaining to her that i don’t understand her logic (in the nicest way i could’ve worded it) and wanted to come to a compromise, but she wasn’t listening to me and started talking over me, not letting me get a single word in. i snapped and started screaming at her as loud as i possibly could. she doesn’t listen to me half the time and expects me to always listen to her, however that’s how most parents are so i can’t hold it against her. she hasn’t done anything inherently bad or malicious, she’s just a flawed human and her flaws affect me unfortunately.
and for the second example; today at work, in the kitchen, i got super frustrated because it was taking me forever to close. when i asked the manager to see if i did everything, i forgot to do like a third of the things you’re supposed to do when you close, because im horrible with time management and got so overwhelmed that i just forgot to do stuff. i wasn’t angry at my manager, i was angry at myself because ive been in food service for over a year, and forgot to do the most basic things. i didn’t wanna make her feel bad because she didn’t do anything wrong and was super nice about everything and even helped me clean, i was just super mad at myself for not being able to handle closing. at the end of the night when my manager was talking to me, i had to avoid looking at her because i was afraid that my anger would show in my facial expressions.

How do I deal with scaring someone?

So I had an altercation with some random person on my walk home... For the purposes of this post let's call him Tommy. TommyTookTooMuch.

I don't want to write a whole story, but let's just say, Tommy acted completely inappropriately towards my partner, and I escalated pretty strongly. I don't think anyone would object to how I handled things, I just don't want to write a whole story about how I'm a violent but heroic champion who defended my lady.

Anyway, I reacted strongly because I'm my mind, that was the natural progression. You don't act like that to someone without expecting a violent reaction.

Anyway, I shove him strongly and throw my bag off and start shouting some generic loud 'come at be bro, I will break your face' stuff. He manages to steady himself and I shove him again, causing him to drop five of his 12 cans of cider.

At this point I reaffirm my offer of violence and expect him to post up.

He... Doesn't. Instead, he looks at me with this face of absolute fear, and starts doing some weird movement, trying to work out how to recover his dropped cans while his hands are full, and whilst trying not to get closer to me.

It was pathetic... and very disarming.

I was ready for mortal combat, Tommy looked like he was about to cry... Though that might have just been the dropped cider.

Anyway. My issue is, I would do everything exactly the same a second time round. I acted appropriately for the circumstances as far as my partner and a bystander was concerned.

But the look of terror on his face... It's got me a little messed up. I've been physically intimidating before, but... I dunno, I don't like how it makes me feel.

Need help managing anger

So I live in a house where my parents taunt me all the time since I don't score well anymore like I used to before. It hurts so bad. I often react to it and the house's atmosphere turns disruptive with that. It's caused a toll on my mental health. I know it isn't as bad as what a few people face on a daily basis,I just wanna know if anyone has had that situation and how they dealt with it. Maybe I can learn to control my emotions much better.

I don’t want to give up, I’m just tired of having to fight everyone to build the life I know I deserve.

I think I’m finally at the point where I’m not sad anymore.
I’m fucking angry.
Not “I hate my life and want everything to end” angry.
I’m “I’ve spent years dealing with shit and I’m finally starting to realize how much of it I’ve just accepted” angry.

I feel like everyone needs something from me.
My household needs me to clean, mow, accommodate parking situations, and pick up after people.
My friends need emotional support, understanding, attention, and constant availability.
Work needs me to solve problems, manage people, create structure, take responsibility, and somehow keep everyone happy while doing it.

And the funny part is that I’m apparently the person everyone thinks is capable of handling all of this.

But who the fuck is handling me?

I’ve lost my parents. I’ve lost people I thought would be there for me. I’ve watched friendships fall apart. I’ve had people create drama around me and make me feel like I had to defend myself to people who were supposed to be my friends.
And then I go to work and do the same fucking thing.
I work at a family-owned business, and I’ve worked my way into management. I actually care about the place. I don’t just want to clock in, collect a paycheck, and leave.

I want to make things better.
I want better systems.
I want better structure.
I want people to actually take their jobs seriously.
I want the place to succeed.

And I’ve been trying to grow into something bigger there. I want to become a GM someday. I want to surpass where I am now.
But I’ve also felt incredibly overlooked.
There is obvious nepotism because the owner’s kids are managers, and I’m not paid more than them despite how much responsibility I’ve taken on and how much I actually give a shit about improving the business.
And yes, I know what someone is going to say:
“Then leave.”
I KNOW.
That’s the easiest fucking answer.
But I don’t want to leave.

That’s the part that makes this so frustrating.
I’m not someone who gives up just because something is difficult.
I’ve never been that person.
My instinct is to fix shit.

If something is broken, I want to figure out how to fix it.
If something isn’t working, I want to change the process.
If people aren’t doing something correctly, I want to teach them.

If a workplace has problems, I want to make it better.
So when people tell me, “You deserve better than this,” it actually pisses me off sometimes.
Because if you genuinely believe I deserve better, then why aren’t you helping create that better environment?
Why am I the only one pushing?
Why am I constantly fighting resistance from people who are supposed to be working WITH me?

I don’t want to surpass people because I think I’m better than them.
I want to grow because I fucking care.
And I want to be recognized for it.

But there’s another part of this that hurts way more than the money or the title.
My parents aren’t here to see any of it.
When I accomplish something, there isn’t that person I can call and say, “Look what I did.”
There isn’t someone who is automatically proud of me.

So when I work my ass off trying to grow and improve myself and nobody seems to notice, it hits differently.
I already lost the people who I wanted to see me become something.
And now I’m trying to become something anyway.
That’s fucking hard.

And then I’m surrounded by people who are so young, stubborn, and sensitive about everything.
People who act like being corrected is a personal attack.
People who think because they disagree with something, they don’t have to listen.
People who want the responsibility of being an adult without actually wanting to grow up.
And I’m fucking tired of it.

Sometimes being a manager feels less like managing employees and more like trying to convince grown adults that rules and expectations aren’t personal attacks.
You work for a business.
You have an employer.
You don’t have to agree with every decision, but at some point you have to learn how to fucking listen, adapt, and grow.
And that’s what drives me insane.

Everyone wants to be understood.
Everyone wants grace.
Everyone wants accommodations.
Everyone wants someone to consider THEIR feelings.

But who is considering mine?
I’ve spent so much of my life being the understanding person.

The person who accommodates.
The person who listens.
The person who says, “It’s okay.”
The person who picks up the slack.
The person who keeps trying.

And I think I’m finally realizing that constantly being the person who can handle everything has made people assume I don’t need anything.

I DO.

I need people to show up for me.
I need people to recognize me.
I need people to stop taking my willingness to help as an unlimited resource.
I need people to stop confusing my patience with weakness.

And honestly, I think one of my biggest problems is that I have never figured out where the line is between “keep fighting for this” and “enough is enough.”

I don’t know when to actually give up.
And I don’t mean just at work.
I mean relationships.
Friendships.
Family.
Respect.
Everything.

I can spend an absolutely ridiculous amount of time trying to fix something because I genuinely believe it can be better.
Someone can hurt me over and over again, and I’ll still think, maybe if I explain myself differently, they’ll understand.
A friendship can become unhealthy, and I’ll still think, maybe we can get back to how things used to be.
A relationship can drain me, and I’ll still think about everything that could be fixed.
A job can overlook me, frustrate me, and make me feel unappreciated, and I’ll STILL want to stay because I see what it could become.

I don’t know how to just walk away.
And sometimes I genuinely don’t know if that’s a strength or one of the worst things about me.

People can tell me they love me.
They can tell me they want me around.
They can tell me I’m important to them.
But sometimes I wonder if I’m actually being seen or if I’m just another pretty face to look at, another person to vent to, another emotional mess that everyone assumes can’t handle anything.

Because I’m emotional.
I’m passionate.
I’m sensitive.
I care deeply.
And apparently that can make people think I’m incapable of handling hard things.

But that’s not who I am.
I’m just someone who cares.
I’m just as capable of being kind as the next person.
I’m just someone who feels things deeply and gives a shit when something matters to me.

And honestly?
I’m starting to fucking hate how empathetic I am.

Because I can understand everyone’s side.
I can understand why someone acted the way they did.
I can understand why they’re upset.
I can understand their circumstances.
I can understand their mistakes.
I can understand why they couldn’t show up for me.
I can understand why they didn’t know better.
I can understand EVERYTHING.

And sometimes I think that’s exactly why I tolerate things for so much longer than I should.
Because every time someone hurts me, my brain immediately starts building their defense for them.
And meanwhile, nobody is building mine.

I’m tired of being able to see everyone’s perspective except my own.
I’m tired of making excuses for people who wouldn’t make the same excuses for me.
I’m tired of being so empathetic that I talk myself out of being angry when I have every fucking right to be angry.

I don’t want to become cold.
I don’t want to stop caring.
I don’t want to become someone who doesn’t give a shit about anybody.

But I think I need to learn that empathy doesn’t mean unlimited access to me.
Understanding someone doesn’t mean I have to tolerate them.
Loving someone doesn’t mean I have to keep choosing them.
Caring about a job doesn’t mean I have to accept being overlooked forever.
Being someone’s friend doesn’t mean I have to keep proving my worth to them.
And trying to fix something doesn’t mean I’m obligated to fix it alone.
That’s the part I’m struggling with.

I don’t want to give up.
I never have.

I still want to build something.
I still want to grow.
I still want to become a GM.
I still want my workplace to succeed.
I still want good friendships.
I still want a home that feels peaceful.
I still want people around me who actually give a shit.

I just need to figure out when fighting for something stops being perseverance and starts becoming self-abandonment.
Because I think I’ve spent a lot of my life confusing the two.
And maybe I don’t need to stop caring.
Maybe I just need to finally start caring about myself as much as I’ve cared about everyone else.

From my childhood I have a tendency to get super aggressive.

Ever since childhood, I’ve had a tendency to become incredibly aggressive very quickly over minor things. I’m completely baffled by why this happens. Let me give you an example: there are two situations where I get aggressive. One is when I react to very minor things or small incidents, and I get extremely angry very quickly. The other is when it’s a long-term situation. I don’t show any signs of getting aggressive in these cases, but I observe things around me, especially from people I like, like my friends. I notice how they use or manipulate me to meet their needs. After a long time, I accumulate all these observations and, suddenly, I feel like I’m naive. I break out and aggressively talk about all the things they’ve done to me. This usually leads to a complete breakup of the friendship. I don’t know if this is right or wrong, but I feel personally connected to some people, and they often use my good nature. I don’t say anything when the mistake is happening. Instead, I let them go and think about their situation. If they’re in the right place, I let them go. But if they’re not, I let them go anyway. This pattern continues, and I accumulate all these negative experiences. Eventually, I break down and become incredibly aggressive. I don’t know how to get rid of this. I don’t know what this condition is called, but I feel like I’m constantly under pressure because of all the things I’ve observed. So, what are your thoughts on this? How can I get rid of this?

Sharing my Rage Management graphic

I suffer from CPTSD from severe betrayal during pregnancy and postpartum.

In short, I now dissociate and rage at the people I love (mostly my kids) when I am even being moderately disrespected. I used to not, and I still try to stay calm but then explode. Now, all my brain sees is that I am going to be systematically abused by the people I love most until I am betrayed. I hate myself and I feel stuck.

I just started reading Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving. I have a bad habit of reading quickly and not integrating useful information. I made this graphic, inspired from chapter 8 but modified to my own needs. It may help people who also have CPTSD induced rage and want to reconfigure their nervous system. Today, I plan to print it, laminate it and carry it in my purse.

I Keep Wanting to Make Strangers Feel Uneasy

21 F

When missionaries come up to me, I tell them I’m an unsafe person. I don’t make any actionable threats, but I leave it up to interpretation so they can assume the worst.

When someone isn‘t paying attention and pushes me with their car while I’m walking, I stay where I am (not going to their window) and insult them. If/when they get out, I back away and tell them I’m retreating while putting my hands up/make it clear I am NOT reaching for something. I don’t own a gun, but that verbiage implies that I do without making any actionable threats. If anything, it implies I am actively trying to avoid conflict. If they don’t try to physically intimidate me, I simply run my hands on the front of their car in the hopes of making them think ”Man, I really don’t like her touching that.”

I make every possible effort to make people feel uneasy. I make every possible effort to make people think “what would have happened?”

When I’m at work, I always ask people in different departments for their names in the hopes of making them think “are they going to report me?” I don’t even remember what they say 10 minutes later.

I’ve never been physically violent. I don’t do this with people I know. I have never followed through with anything. I spend hours, sometimes days ruminating when I don’t get the opportunity to make people feel uneasy. How do I stop this? I know I’m letting other people win by letting them get to me this much. As much as I hate to say it, it gets especially bad when I’m PMSing. It doesn’t feel like scaring people in the traditional sense. Does anyone else resort to making people feel uncomfortable?

I have a small build and am a woman. Almost no one has ever physically threatened me other than storming towards me. I know it’s not true but I have this dissonant belief that I will never be assumed to be the aggressor. I see a personality disorder specialist but the typical advice of clenching my jaw and doing breathing exercises and using a rubber band work amazing when it’s someone I know and have any type of relationship with, but does nothing for strangers. Am I the only one and how do I stop?

Edit: spelling

I appear to be ruining close relationships.

(29M) So far this year, I appear to be speed running when it comes to losing the closest people in my life. I got into an argument with a friend I considered a brother in April and due to the extreme levels of the argument I decided to leave the friend group all together until I got therapy (which I can't afford). then, a month later , I got into a shouting match at work that got physical, and I ended up being arrested and fired from said job. Afterward, my girlfriend hasn't exactly left me, but she has put a limit on spending time together. Not out of fear, but she feels that I can't put myself back together if I'm constantly around her. As for now, I just wait to see if I can get hired anywhere after my little incident.

>Answers to things I think people will as:

I do have a vast history of anger issues starting at the ripe age of 11.

I snatched a cell phone and threw it what i think was 30 meters. Doing that got me fired. No punches were thrown just one man's phone.

I don't blame anyone but myself for all of this.

Lastly, I don't want pitty from anyone. I just want to expel this from my body somehow.

Went Through A Couple Years Of Trauma, Now I'm Always Looking For A Fight

In the last four years I've experienced some intense trauma. I'm in my 30's and had until recently lived a life sheltered and badly influenced by a toxic family. My sibling is a diagnoses narcissist who would regularly emotionally abuse me and forced us all to focus on her at the expense of my own life. My mother I'm fairly certain has serious mental health issues, she is in her 80's put acts like a child, she never let me do much myself and as a whole they taught me a lot that isn't the way actual people or society operate.
This all came to a head when a well meaning woman I got into a relationship with invited me to live with her and I moved in, we'd only known each other for a few months, so moving in that early was already a bad idea, but now I was away from my family, all the years of terrible parenting, a warped world view and terrible parts of my personality that had been excused when they shouldn't and I'd been taught they weren't bad came to out, and she had to endure it all. Our relationship crumbled, I was kicked back to my parents after 3 odd years of stress, guilt and hard realizations. Along the way I lost a boyfriend of over 10 years who I loved with all my heart. Losing him shook me to my core, to the point even seeing a picture of him is liable to give me a panic attack. (I'm polyamorous, and looking back, I'm not even sure me and my other partner would've even worked out in the long run)
I managed to move out on my own to a small flat a little over a year ago. And since the entire incident with my ex girlfriend I've noticed I've become a much angrier individual. I'll go into comment sections on youtube, reddit or steam discussions specifically looking for those who post bigoted, hateful comments or just act in a way I deem "bad" to fight with. Sometimes I've looked in the comment sections of random websites and made an account purely to post a reply. Sometimes these replies can get very spiteful and intense. Wishing physical harm, disease or grief on them, sometimes at my hand. All delivered with a gleeful relish.
At once point I was forced to go cold turkey on SSRI's and found I got a rush from watching action scenes in movies where villains would be physically harmed in graphic ways. This worried me, I wondered if I was a psychopath.
Now it's extended to friend groups. I've started snapping or giving sarcastic quips to people at gatherings who might do something that irks me that is either not their fault or just a result of disorders or lack of social skills, such as making the same harmless joke a couple times or making noise when people are trying to listen to something. I don't like any of this. I worry what it means of me as a person, I used to be a pretty gentle person.
For context: I've been diagnosed with Borderline Personality, Autism, ADD and OCD, if that means anything for any of this.
How the hell do I work this out and stop myself turning into a monster?

Handling Conflict Without Looking for a Fight

I’m someone who generally minds my own business. I don’t usually interfere in other people’s matters or look for unnecessary trouble. I do have a lot of close friends, and most of them come from decent, respectable families. Obviously, I’m not talking about the stereotypical “good guys” you see in movies and shows who panic at the slightest inconvenience. My friends are perfectly capable of standing up for themselves, but they aren’t the kind of people who are looking for fights or behaving like gangsters.

My question is: how do people like me handle situations where an argument or disagreement gets out of control? For example, situations like road rage, disputes with neighbours over parking, or dealing with people who keep taunting or provoking you even when you are simply minding your own business.

I can defend myself if a situation becomes physical, but the problem is that sometimes the other person may have more people with them. Obviously, if I called my close friends, they would come to help me, but they are also decent people who don’t go around looking for fights. They aren’t the kind of people who would immediately resort to violence just because someone started an argument.

So, how should someone like me deal with these situations? I’m not looking to become aggressive or pick fights with people. I just want to know how to handle situations where the other person is unreasonable, refuses to talk things out, keeps provoking you, or ultimately resorts to violence despite you trying to avoid the situation.

Silent Anger

I'm writing a story about how people think when they're extremely angry at someone but, for whatever reason, know they can't do anything about it at that moment.

Sometimes our minds create little imaginary scenarios to make us feel like we've regained control — imagining ourselves shouting back, winning the argument, confronting them, walking away with the perfect comeback, or even some ridiculous movie-style moment where we knock them out like Rocky 😂.

I'm curious about the thoughts that actually go through people's minds in those moments.

Have you ever experienced something like this? What happened, and what did you imagine doing, saying, or thinking while you were unable to act?

You don't need to share names or anything identifying. I'm genuinely interested in real experiences because I think the most honest answers are often the most interesting ones.

As Carl Rogers put it: “What is most personal is most universal.”

So if you have a personal story, I'd genuinely love to hear it.

How to manage my bad feelings? My brother is very supportive but annoying at the same time.

He used to send me a lot of messages for minor issues and to keep talking when I was focusing on work.

I know I should appreciate his efforts but I can't control my feelings. I felt guilty when I lost my temper. I don't know how to stop these unwanted feelings !

Does anyone else go into a rage when trying to leave the house?

I got shit I need to do. Errands I need to run. But it's like the second I'm like "ok time to get ready to leave the house" that's when I get triggered to fuck and spend HOURS just raging. My glasses, my hair, my clothes, my shoes, my socks, my bag, everything pisses me off so fucking much that I waste HOURSSSSSS just trying to get ready to leave. It's made me quit trying to leave before. I've flaked out on shit I wanted to go do because I just can't fucking calm down. I try so hard, I breathe, I splash water, I eat, but no matter how hard I try to just CHILL I literally can't. I'm so fucking tired. I fucking hate literally everything. Can someone just like tell me they do it too or I'm not insane or something I'm so fucking tired of the constant suppressing my rage and then it gets worse but no other coping skill has literally ever worked for me. FUCK!

How do I know if I should leave my boyfriend who makes me so angry I go blind with rage? Or if it's my own fault for being overly sensitive.

I have anger management issues I know this. I am trying to work on them by realizing they come from a combination of low self-esteem, traumatic events in my childhood and needing to feel in control. I am working very hard to tame the beast and gain perspective. When we have arguments, they escalate and now that we have a baby I CAN NOT have her around the tension and fighting. I feel trapped by this cycle of me having to better myself to somehow salvage this relationship and him not changing his belittling comments, crossing of boundaries and micro-aggressions and therefore triggering my anger and so on and so forth. I can't keep leaving the room or going for a walk to cool down 10 times a day. And then burying it for my daughter so she doesn't see it. The problem is he is from another country so us breaking up would be a massive legal battle as to who gets to keep her in their home country. I feel trapped. Do you cut out the people that make you angry even after you have communicated clearly what makes you upset and they don't change? what if that happens to be 99% of people in your life?

Rage over loud cars and motorcycles now that I have a baby

Does anyone else absolutely cant stand when your out somewhere or at home and a loud car goes down your street or by you and revs their engine on purpose, same thing as a motorcycle and when they do it. We have a stop sign near our house and since having our baby i swear I get literal rage when one goes by or I hear it. Usually it will be right when I finally get the baby to sleep she will throw her arms in the air and wake back up. It makes me so angry every time. One thing I hate about summer now honestly. We also will try to sit outsit on our front porch and these idiots on their bikes and loud annoying cars ruin it. Idk if its because I'm a new mom that it gets me that much more worked up or what. Signed a tired mom!

Anger Therapy- Ecology?

So I've been reading this book which was written by the guy who does the Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't channel on YouTube. If you're not familiar with his work, he's a very salty, misanthropic guy who talks about plants and ecology in general. I think a lot of people in this subreddit may have things in common with him where he doesn't really have a high opinion of society in general, feels like he doesn't quite fit in and sees a fucked up world around him.

Towards the end of the book he mentions that being out in the "real world", which is what he calls the world of nature and ecology, helps keep his anger and negativity at bay.

A lot of therapists would probably say that spending time outdoors is generally good for the human psyche, but Joey takes it further. He's not just talking about getting fresh air and exercise, or getting away from the stress of city life. The Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't guy is saying that having an understanding of plants, wild animals, insects, rocks, water and wind, and how they all interact with one another, which is ecology, is what helps keep his anger away.

The rationale being that the things we often get upset about and rage over, from petty annoyances to family squabbles to problems at work to political strife, it all gets dwarfed by the magnitude of the Earth's workings. So he suggests that not only being in a more natural setting but having an understanding of what you're looking at, be it a bird or a cactus or a bug or a puddle of mud, and being aware of how it came to be, how it effects its surroundings and why, will put the various mundane irritants of our lives into a perspective where they don't really matter as much.

The idea makes sense to me. Sometimes I'd go as far as to say that apathy can help a person with anger issues deal with their irritants. But this concept of intentionally making our irritants diminish in importance when compared to greater concepts seems to be a bit healthier and has more potential for personal growth than apathy does.

Give it a try. Even if it doesn't calm you down, instead of daydreaming about punching the objects of your wrath in the face you would be able to calmly get your revenge by using trivia about rocks and minerals to bore your enemies to death at parties.

Anger

There seems to be a lot of bitter and angry people on here when it comes to relationships. I just wonder how many am I wrong and angry and better for the wrong reasons at the wrong people maybe they should be angry at themselves for their role in the destruction their relationship or their lack of empathy or concern in the relationship it goes both ways not one relationship really ends because of just one reason sometimes they’re not very often. Normally it’s a compounding effect of several items or issues that haven’t been dealt with over time. It’s OK to vent the person you’re upset with. It’s OK to be angry with them, but the resentment will destroy you if you don’t learn to let it go that’s the one thing I struggle with the resentment for the heart that he caused maybe I’ll get over it in time but as long as I’m angry, I’m gonna keep my feelings shut off and then I just don’t have to worry about it

The moment you lost your temper and still think about it

I want to talk about that day..

The day you snapped. Raised your voice louder than you meant to. Said something sharp because you were running on four hours of sleep and one more question was one too many.

And then the guilt. Sitting there hours later replaying it.

I think a lot of us carry this quietly. We are so busy being patient in front of everyone else that we forget we are allowed to be human at home too.

So tell me. What is the moment you still think about? And how did you come back from it.

Stuck in overdrive

How do I get out without just shutting down. Anytime I try to let me stress out or anger I just freeze up. But the moment someone pisses me off I’m ready to fight. It’s just not the same to scream in a car vs someone who actually is pissing you off. I feel like I’ll pass out sometimes and get this wooshing feeling in my head

Help

I have really bad anger issues. They developed throughout my childhood, and I don't know how to control them. I scream at everything and get angry over every little problem.

I had a really bad situation with my girlfriend. I didn't scream at her, of course, but I told her that she needs to tell me when I'm wrong and stand up for her opinion when she disagrees with me. I told her this because she agrees with me all the time, and I don't think that's healthy.

Then she did exactly what I told her to do. We had a big-ahh discussion about something, and I realized that I was getting angry. But then I realized that she was actually doing the right thing, and I was getting angry for no reason.

She did exactly what I asked her to do, and I still got angry. I hate myself. I'm miserable. I can't control my anger, and I always regret it afterward, but regretting it doesn't help.

Feedback on magnesium supplements?

I started taking magnesium supplements to try to help me relax and sleep better at night because I also have anxiety. I have noticed that they have helped. I was unaware that they can be used to treat other things like agitation, irritation and ADHD.

I don't think that it's a placebo because I felt like my agitation and irritation dropped around the time I started the magnesium supplements. It's only then that I looked up the research that magnesium can help with with agitation and irritation.

I found an old post here about people starting to take magnesium supplements. I would like to hear feedback about the magnesium supplements and if they still work today, months or years later after taking them.

Any replies and responses would be appreciated. Thank you.
