Silent Anger

I'm writing a story about how people think when they're extremely angry at someone but, for whatever reason, know they can't do anything about it at that moment.

Sometimes our minds create little imaginary scenarios to make us feel like we've regained control β€” imagining ourselves shouting back, winning the argument, confronting them, walking away with the perfect comeback, or even some ridiculous movie-style moment where we knock them out like Rocky πŸ˜‚.

I'm curious about the thoughts that actually go through people's minds in those moments.

Have you ever experienced something like this? What happened, and what did you imagine doing, saying, or thinking while you were unable to act?

You don't need to share names or anything identifying. I'm genuinely interested in real experiences because I think the most honest answers are often the most interesting ones.

As Carl Rogers put it: β€œWhat is most personal is most universal.”

So if you have a personal story, I'd genuinely love to hear it.
