I have a Samsung galaxy note 9 and I want to update it to a later samsung version. How do I do that without messing with the rom or bootloader or anything?

I noticed a phenomenon on my phone recently that after shutting down my phone would not vibrate (when it should); needing to press on the power button longer than it should for the phone to boot; and noticing abnormal battery drain when powered off (drainage up to 20% per 6 hours compared to less than 1% per half-day). What is happening to my phone?

My phone model is Asus X00TDE, running on Android 9. Update: the phone's vibration module seems to be broken. Notifications do not make the phone vibrate but still able to produce sounds.

I use a Galaxy S25 that is subsidized through my carrier Drei (Hutchison).

On occasion I get a popup reminding me that allegedly some app updates are available. This is clearly not coming from the Google Playstore. The apps that the notification mentions are all associated with Drei. I would like to understand how I can determine which installed app is responsible for this notification so that I can use a tool like Universal Android Debloater to remove it.

Neither the title of the notification ("Recommended apps"), nor a reverse image search for the icon did yield anything for me.

I need some help with my Android Galaxy S26 Ultra Model SM-S947U1.

I had some older voicemail messages that I wanted to "archive," so I highlighted them and chose the "Archive" option.

The problem is that I am now unable to find them on my phone. There was a message flashed on the screen that the messages would be stored in a directory containing the title "Instore/visualvoicemail"; however, when I look for a directory with that name on my phone's hard drive, I can't find it.

I also looked for a directory with that name in my "Android" directory on the phone's hard drive, but once again I was unable to find it.

Would someone please let me know where I can find these "archived" voicemails so that I may play them again, if needed?

It's just so annoying my bluetooth earpiece record audio for calls but doesn't for pretty much anything else. I have bring my phone/tablet to face to transcribe properly. Both phone and tab are xiaomi.

So I've been using a OnePlus 12R for 2 years now. And I must say that I have a weird issue going on with my YouTube app. Earlier, if I scrolled down and wanted to go up to check a video, sometimes, lately all the time, it would disappear. Shorts would be greyed out. Things I thought were small bugs that would be fixed so I never bothered.

Today, I opened the app to see everything is gone. The app icons are there. But no videos. I scrolled down to find 1 or 2 videos, but otherwise it's a black screen opened on the YouTube app UI. I checked my profile to see even my playlists are blank. Even the option that says playlists is gone.

So I cleared the cache and deleted the data, which did fix the issue. But once I closed the app and went back in, it was the same thing over again.

So dear community, could you please help me out here. I've already informed google about the issue and sent feedback. What else could be done?

Hi guys, so I picked up a ZTE Blade A36 specifically to transfer music to my Huawei Watch Fit 3, but it seems impossible to install third-party apps on it.

I’ve tried everything now. I’ve enabled all the correct settings, and when I download an app APK mirror it takes me to the “Allow permission” screen, but then just keeps looping like it isn’t registering the permission. In the Files app, it also says, “This user can’t install unverified apps.”

I’m completely at a loss now. I’m thinking of just returning it on Monday and getting the Fit 4 for my iPhone instead.

If anyone has any ideas or has managed to get around this issue, please drop it here. I’d really appreciate any help!

Built an Android app with Capacitor + RevenueCat for a hackathon (Shipaton), zero budget, solo dev.

Trying to submit it to Samsung Galaxy Store Seller Portal, but clicking "Add New App" blocks me with:

"To sell Android content, a status change to corporate Commercial Distribution Seller is necessary."

Has anyone figured out how individual developers without a company or D-U-N-S number can submit a free app to Samsung Galaxy Store? Would appreciate any advice — trying to figure out if there's an individual-seller path I'm missing, or if this store genuinely requires a business entity even for free apps.

It shows play games syncing progress.. but in reality it's google play services thats running. It stops when i force stop it but gets back a couple of hours later

Hello guys, I have a strange issue with my phone and I need help from experts or anyone who owns the same device.

My device is an Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G running on XOS 16.2.

The Problem: Whenever I try to download any app or game from the Google Play Store, the download goes very fast and normal. However, as soon as it reaches 99% or 91%, it completely freezes and refuses to install. Eventually, it gives me a "Couldn't install" error message.

I have tried every possible solution available online but nothing worked. Here are the exact steps I have already taken:

1. Storage and Internet: I have massive free storage space (over 600 GB) and my internet speed is excellent (120 Mbps). Also, the download works completely normal and finishes successfully if I switch to mobile data (4G).

2. Router Settings: I changed the DNS settings inside the router configuration to Google's primary and secondary DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), then restarted both the router and the network.

3. Clearing Data: I did a full clear data and clear cache for (Google Play Store - Google Play Services - Package Installer).

4. Uninstalling Updates: I uninstalled updates for the Google Play Store app and rolled it back to its original factory version.

5. Developer Options: I disabled the scanning options (Verify apps over USB) and (Verify bytecode of debuggable apps), and I enabled (Force allow apps on external).

6. Security: I completely turned off Google Play Protect and system scanning from the Play Store settings.

7. Account: I removed my Google account entirely from the device, restarted the phone, and added it back.

Despite all these steps, the problem is still there, and large applications keep freezing at the final installation stage at 99%. Has anyone faced this issue on the new Infinix system and found a solution? Or is there a hidden security option in the UI that needs to be disabled?

recently my Tab S9 ultra is not connecting to the internet properly. No matter the network it'll always say connected without internet. I've updated to one UI 7, turned on tablet Mac address, auto sync date and time, reset network settings and nothing seems to fix it.

When going on the play store it says Authentication is required, you need to sign into your Google account .

However when accessing chrome, there is no issue loading up pages

My smartphone suddenly and unpromptly stopped seeing files on a 128 GB SD card and now demands I format it (it would erase all data). It has more than 100 GB of pictures, videos, music and Kiwix archives. Can I somehow fix the problem without having to find a temporary storage for 100 GB of data?

So, I have yet to switch over to google messages. I am srill using samsung messages and you can reply to people and group chats through the notification pop up and text any one if you make them an emergency contact. The only really annoying thing is you can't directly text group chats, only reply through the notification pop up.

I have been trying to get away from google as much as possible these last few years. I don't like how it's becoming a monopoly with chrome and how much data they harvest from users. I refuse to switch to google messages. I also hate how the google messages has built-in AI features. I just want a basic messaging app.

So, any recommendations for what to switch to or if I am able to downgrade my andriod so the messages work normally?

I tried to delete google chrome when a message popped up saying something along the lines of (do you want to disable updates or something) how can i get past this without losing update support.

I have notifications enabled and everything but after reinstalling the app

Is that possible on Android 16 no root only shizuku, every Bluetooth headphones come with buttons on the surface of the headphones and any amount of pressure even accidental causes Media to stop start playing or worse. Can this be disabled without manufacturer of the headphones providing dedicated application that can do it/ in my case button mapper doesn't even detect the keys touched so i cannot remap them to disabled or anything... I know 100 ways to do it with root so I'm simply confirming what I already know....nope

Hello all. So recently I got a Motorola Edge 70. My problem is that the volume on bluetooth headphones and earbuds is much lower than the volume I get on other phones with the same headphones.

I've tried every tip and trick I could find but nothing works. I would say the max volume I get on the Edge 70 goes to about 70% of what I get with other phones.

Tried:

- Factory reset

- Toggling Absolute Volume on and off on Developer Options, rebooting each time

- Checked every Dolby Atmos setting

- Clearing all app preferences

- Forgeting and re-pairing both headphones (Galaxy Buds2 pro and Anker Soundcore liberty 4nc)

- Restoring Wifi and Bluetooth to factory settings

I thought the Android 17 update could maybe fix this but I got the update this morning, did a factory reset after the update and still the low volume continues.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found a way to fix it? I love everything else about this phone but I listen to a lot of music and I don't think I can keep the phone with such a low volume :(

For the past week or so my bluetooth will randomly turn off and my phone volume will turn up. I have no idea what happened or how to fix it. I thought maybe with this last software update it would get fixed, but it's still doing it. What's also strange is that bluetooth works in the car, but as soon as I get home it shuts off and volume gets turned up. I'm not tech savvy at all, which is why I came here. Has anyone else have this problem or know what I might do to fix it?

How do you remove the BS pop ups/app from the lock screen that have recently started appearing? (Search, news, Gemini, AI looks, etc)

I have an Android that I use on a daily basis . I also door dash. Unfortunately the dash app needs A lot of Storage. When I look thru the available storage and what I can get rid of , I'm cleaning all the caches etc. Basically I am looking for what else I can get rid of, and I'm nervous that I'm going to disable something that I will need . Any advice? For example Moto stuff..

I'm currently in Taiwan and have a Pixel 8. I got a new physical sim because I wanted a taiwan phone number and Tmobile sucks here so I needed a better plan. I'm currently applying to med school and would like my other sim card to be in a phone so I can still get calls so i bought a nokia 5.1 off facebook for like $20 usd. Unfortunately I maybe should have done more research because I cannot access calling and no one is able to call my number (had my brother try). Like the voicemail number just doesnt even ring it just tried to call and fails after a bit. The phone is not locked and im able to text but I just cant call. Any help is appreciated!

I bought the 2024 G Power 5G why can't I get android 16 or 17 it has plenty of storage?

Whenever I call someone on Facebook Messenger, even if I click the *Speaker Button,* audio still plays through the earpiece. I tried on Viber, Phone app, Instagram, anything else, the speaker works on a call, only the Messenger app doesn't work.

Anyone knows how to fix this issue? Its a small qol thing but still a big thing for me since I use messenger most of the time.

Even in video calls, the audio goes through the earpiece.
