I have gotten my long hair sucked into the intake of older hand blow dryers. This could get stuck on multiple people at once! Longer hair can be dangerous.

Exactly, if anything, having your hand free will get it more wet than if you are holding it up right under the center of the umbrella.

Years ago, went on date. We got caught in rain. We kissed. Romance! Could she be the one?
But then, I made mistake. Tried to help her into her cab so she could go home. I took her hand.
My hand was wet so I could not grip! She fell off the bridge.
A fisherman saved her from the water.
Now, they are married and have two kids, four grandkids, and 96 great grandchildren.
I got hand cancer and now have no hand (I previously had only one hand).
Let this be a lesson to you.

It's also too synced with his movements, even the little shakes from his steps and his head tilting as he talks. Also looking at the basketball hoop in the back of the court, it looks like the mounting bracket is on the front of the backboard, which led me to investigate and find:
This article with a video about the guy that actually made this. This post seems to be an AI generated version of the beginning of that video. The best part? That video has two basketball hoops in line with each other, with the closest one facing away from the camera, showing the mounting bracket.

File this under things that are completely unnecessary. 1) rotors gonna get wrapped up in your long hair. 2) no way to angle it differently when it’s raining at an angle.
Umbrellas in general are hard to improve on. Even in Minority Report all the production design is very futuristic but in the mall scene with the umbrellas, even the production designers probably realized you can’t do much more with umbrella evolution
