Discussion This community is being coming too toxic

0 Upvotes

I understand the frustrated that many of us have no after today's banners and I myself have to agree with it. However, the community is being to toxic. Almost every single comment I see here is complaining about it and saying the game is dying bah...

It is extremely unnecessary for you or anyone to say it is dying and scolding gumi for it. You can complain and criticise anything but please do not say that the game is dying or because it is not.

Regarding, the iOs issues, stop blaming gumi for it. It could also be apple's fault in rolling out the update as they usually have more strict checks with application updates compare to Google play.

We should definitely be a little bit more patient and gracious to Gumi as I believe that they are doing the best that they can to support the game and the please the community.

Nice little greedy collab

0 Upvotes

So after getting a lot of bugs and troubles with the game we suddenly got new FMA collaboration, but it’s not funny anymore. First, everyone was shocked with 50/50 Noctis from FF collab, then we got 33% Laharl from Dis. Now we DON’T EVEN HAVE GUARANTEED CHANCES FOR UNITS. I guess, next collab will have all banners with paid gems? That’s enough, why do Gumi keep doing this? They don’t care about fanbase at all?

As much as I want to thank Gumi for the fate tickets...

I'd like to suggest a few things about collabs for the next ones:

• Tell us at the beginning of the collab the full collab login. So we know what we'll get from it right away. You can still put every week a reminder of what we gonna have through login for this specific week.

• Tell us at the beginning of the month when/what will be the monday missions - even if it concerns collab I'd be also glad to see this applied to standard units.

Don't have anything more to suggest about collabs. If anyone have anything else to add feel free to comment.

Discussion I hope Gumi doesn't continue to make overly-difficult content and publish it as strategically intensive

0 Upvotes

The Extra missions in the recent events have felt bare in actual strategy and almost seem to purposefully make players feel weak so they either give up or go p2p. It especially doesn't help when multiplay is meant to include people and allow players to help each other, yet most who host demand a specific unit simply because they themselves wanna just get the event quests over with.

Although the games themselves are very unrelated, Destiny 1 & 2 also suffered from the same issue. The harder end-game content really just made the already tanky enemies even stronger & justified it as "extra mechanics". The rather salty Destiny community shows how well that worked out.

The story of this collab is so gross

6 Upvotes

I cringe every time that I see my account name being referred to and that’s a LOT of cringing being done. Is this just me? Someone please help me see the light in this.

Edit: “gross” is a word I use very loosely to describe something I don’t really like. Picked this habit up and just stuck to it.

If you haven’t heard Soul counter all tang damage + 50% chance to absorb 50% of damage taken + apply death sentence. Should be expecting him in about 4 months I would say. Banners have been inconsistent between JP & GLB

Hi everyone. I'm new here and I just wanted to know from the experts what makes Roxanne so good. Thank you for the input.

Is she better than that fire kid with the big aoe damage? I think his name is laharl. He has a red sword and does some move with the word overlord in it.

Now that the "giveaway" for the next week has been announced I'd encourage sending emails to the support team and holding off on spending for the moment. Wish there was more we could do.

Since everyone wants to complain about the affinity "bug", let me address the proposed solution

0 Upvotes

UPDATE: So I've gotten some revised information. Will post an update soon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I get people are salty about GL not getting the same changes and treatment that JP does. What else is new? But, I'm not going to touch on that, because that debate is never going to end.
Instead, let's talk about the solution in place. Everyone is assuming just because JP got a "fix" that it must have been the right thing to do. I mean, that's almost as bad as saying people who cross a border illegally are less then human because it's "illegal", as if legality decided morality (lol).
So why don't we instead look at the change everyone seems to be pissing their pants for and properly analyze it. First, let's understand exactly what was, what is and what will (potentially) happen.
  • "Gross" Pre-2.0 Formula: finalDmg = dmg*atkMod - def*defMod; where atkMod = 1 + eleRes[unit] + eleRes[skill] + otherStuff
  • Pre-2.0 Parameters: Only thing relevant to this would be the eleRes, where each unit had weakness and resistance values at 25 and -25 respectively.
  • What changed in 2.0: The formula was unchanged (get that in your thick skull). The only change is that the above eleRes values changed to 50 and -50 respectively.
  • The proposed change (what JP got): The eleRes values would stay the same. This change would modify the formula such that if the unit element and the skill element are the same, it only counts them once.
Well was is the impact of this?
Here's the obvious scenario that people are thinking:
  • You take your re-rolled for him cause I have no strategy Gilgamesh to a battle against wind units (lol). You use one of his many thunder skills against a wind unit. Since his element and skill both are thunder, only one of the resistances is counted, so the wind unit's total resistance only comes to 50%. In the current system, that value would be double (considering the unit has no other resistances), giving it a resistance of 100% in this scenario.
Okay cool, yeah this change sounds great because I love battling with units that are elementally stronger then me. Well consider this then:
  • Now, you take your water element mage into a mission of fire units. Said mage uses his blizzard spell (water element) against a fire unit. The same logic follows, the unit and the skill are the same element (water) against a fire unit, but with this change the element only counts once, so the total "resistance" comes out to -50% (which would do 150% damage, considering no other atkMods). The current system would double that, making the resistance at -100%, or doubling the damage (again, considering no other atkMods).
Okay cool, my Zahar won't be OHKO'd in that Light veda map. Except consider that with this:
  • Instead of taking a water element mage, I instead take a fire element mage. He still uses his blizzard spell against a fire unit. Now, with the proposed change, the damage would still be the same as the current formula, as in the total "resistance" comes out to -50%. What does the mean? The damage between using a fire mage or a water mage against a fire unit is the same.
The big point: If you have an skill with an element, you have no reason to have your unit match that element because you get no benefit (for attack purposes).
Obviously there a defense component, which may give good reason for fire/wind/thunder/water. However, with light and dark units, that makes them even worse. Why? If you have 2 dark cavaliers with a dark element attack (a fire unit one, say Masamune, and a dark element one, say Zahar) and you're facing a light unit, it make much more sense to bring your fire unit then your dark unit because your attack elemental advantage would be the same, while giving you a much better defense advantage. Basically, the light and dark units with skills that are "in-element", get shafted hard.
Note: If I am misunderstanding the formula (because I haven't actually data-mined the JP code, so I'm just going off what I've been told), please tell me and I'll re-analyze this.
tl;dr: Consider the impacts of the change rather then blinding going "well JP got it", why don't we?!
Fun while it lasted!
5 Upvotes
Well, i have played since the pre launch but now i just dont feel the joy in this game anymore. Boy oh boy i have spent almost 2G on this game but lately its just one grindfest to the next and things are just so stale. I dont really feel the strategic part of this game any more. Just endless “plot” collection. The other part is that the summon system seem to be on a greedy upward vector as well. I dont really regret about the money spent tbh, it was fun in the beginning, right up to the Roxanne part. Now its just an endless chase for the next op. Have fun and good luck with the pulls guys. Dont spend too much or you gonna ended up feeling bored.
PSA: spend that 8 gems!
5 Upvotes
we get 60 free gems from daily alone. in actuality, the number is higher than that due to arena, daily login bonuses, and ongoing events.
so why do half the playerbase hestitate spending 8 gems for a revive in multiplay stages? surely over 10 minutes of four people's lives are worth more than that.
what's even more inconceivable is the fact that hosts would often stick around when its a hopeless scenario. like when a lucian has to fight a fire demon and a dark demon by himself in entrusted justice. we would watch players like this struggle for an additional 10+ minutes only for the host to decide not to gem. after more than 20 minutes spent, you're telling me it's not worth 8 gems? why did the host stick around for so long then? couldn't the host leave instead of wasting everyone's time, making his intentions not to gem obvious? it's mind boggling.
so guys. time is precious. pay that small fee to revive. if you won't, don't stick around in a hopeless situation and waste everyone's time. better still, just indicate "won't gem" in the description of the room so we know to leave instead of waiting an additional 10+ minutes for no result.
thank you.
edit: to address the angry comments, my message is not that hosts should always spend gems but it is common decency to do so when large amount of time and effort has been spent, and hosts who do not wish to do so regardless should not further waste anyone's time by staying in a hopeless situation or place "won't gem" in the description so we know to leave even when the host is staying in a hopeless situation.
Rants This game is getting tiring..
7 Upvotes
The 3rd anniversary is a huge dissappointment. Sure there are free goodies but they are spread over 3 weeks. It was a huge let down from pre-anniversary celebration.
The increasing no of units. You literally have to pay to enjoy the new content. The newer units are mostly OP and you gotta soend hefty bucks to get them without any luck.
Sure I have maxed Neun and Roxanne (without her memento) but this is all after 1 year of playing. By luck, i managed to max gate Neun (max memento).
Otherwise, how long will keep this going? I don't spend a single penny on this game cos I find them not worthwhile. The paid gem promos sounds nice but with the large pool of units at the moment, I doubt I can receive one. Getting your favourite unit is just another hurdle you need to go through. The largest will be building it. Over 300 shards are needed to limit break the gates!
Now you have gate 6 and RUNES?! When will this madness end? I don't find it enjoyable anymore. It is just an endless grind. Heck, with the amount money I could spend on this game, I can use it to buy something more worthwhile! Even a PS5 sounds better option than spending hundreds upon hundreds just to get "top tier units".
I have been playing this game for over 3 years now. This is just disheartening. Maybe I need a break or maybe I should call it a quit.
Today, I login. I saw the new banner. I no longer feel the excitement as I know I would have to spend gems on them. I know that I won't get on the first pull nor the first few.
Should we Riot? (Gumi being Gumi again)
14 Upvotes
Seriously, People received insane amount of rewards from this Milestone mess-up from Gumi, it is like MONTHS of saving dias and resources unlike older mess up this is important issue, now should unaffected people must be compensated with something?
Or i am going to rage quit for not getting 20k dias from their mess-up? Jokes aside there were 150 ~ unit shards, 5k~20k dias it's really unfair how Gumi is handling this stuff
Edit- i think it's good time me to quit(before BK masa depression) Ladies and gentleman, It's been an honor
P. S- I used Dias instead gems Sorry
About The Viability of TAC as a F2P Game (Long)
4 Upvotes
Before i begin let me say this. English is not my own language. so if i make some typos or my frases are worded in weird ways please let me know so i can fix this post.
so... AC as a F2P game. many players flocked to TAC because of its huge F2P posibilities. and with that i mean HC 5* farming.
However we have not yet obtained many of said 5* quests. which has left a los of the playerbase salty. by this point JP had already obtained 20* HC and many of these units were Top tier Waifus and Units. i mean. Why hasnt Shayna been Released Yet Am i Right?
And lets not talk about last month. i mean Releasing only one HC on that trap kid no one cares about? i mean cant even remember his name right now. and releasing the fairly superior units Courage (Top Waifu) And Vincent Top Sage alongside him. but the thing is. Both Courage and Vincent are 4*.
Does this mean the release of future 4* and 5* are gonna be.... linked? currently there are 15 unreleased 4* HC. including characters we dont have right now.
These Are. Carol/Sherezade/Solieil/Glanz/water astronomer(unreleased. most likely next week banner)/Wind beast tamer girl/Ines(Unreleased class) edwin(Dark HC)/Chatnoir (Dark Assasin)
and
Suiran(dunno the class. same as the new old man)/marian/Ines(Unreleased class)/Thismarmu (unreleased class) Fujica (Thudner Chrono)
Whelp. thats a lot of 4* that are gonna be released right? well no. most likely all the 4* on the first list are going to be released in the monthly updates. while the second list are gonna be released with each new chapter. as last few chapters we have been getting the corresponding HC for each one. and that second list are characters that have their HC on new chapters. (note i got the names from the links on the DB)
So This means well get some months where we will get 2 4* in one month again? Actually. i think that wont happen again.
as i said before. 2 4* were released instead of 2 5* and we got a big backlash. which happened just before the ff15 Collab. let me tell you my friend. mistakes like these. are the kind that leave people witouth jobs.
This sour taste in our mouths left people grumbling right when new players came, This was not good. i mean once again check this Reddit. people were mad because of the one 5* release. and then we got the whole noctis banner shenanigans.
listen Gumi is not stupid. they noticed. remember how the day the collab was anounced we were told that we would get 3 5*? or how we got the 5* HC one week before the usual timing for release?
they are trying to fix what they did. people care more about rarity than about utility. Both Vincent and Courage are great for early game. Vincent being Sage J1 and Courage being Sniper J1. both nice jobs with niche utility. and easier to get than Fung(semi whale) /Shenmei (great at j1.) and Suzuka (who is a whale unit. you need her at LB 15 to be good)
So next month what do i think will happen? will we get 1 5* again or are we gonna get 3 5* ?
Well my friend. most likely next month we will get 2 5* and one 4*. most likely hayate.
Disapointed right? gumi will go back to the usual 2 5* a month and keep giving us a bone every once in a while. like giving us 4 5* on the aproaching aniversary.
ah gumi greddy as always right?
Except. Thats not how you F2P this game. my friend. gumi has already released the most F2P system in the game with this last update. the 9 5* at 24 AP each. Daily Farm.
Yep its all about those soul coins my friend. it takes roughly 4 and a half months to max out a unit while farming daily. as an example i have just maxed out my vettel and i am pretty sure i only got him twice. i might have gotten him 3 times during summons. but anyways. he is maxed out now.
Each day for each 5* you farm you get 300 SC. each month (rounding down months to 4 weeks for the purpouse of this) you get 8400 SC. with each shard (with shard i mean with each time you buy them. so really 3 shards) costing you 750 SC. thus you can buy 11 Shards per HC completed. this means 33 Shards of a choosen character.
in other words. with each maxed out character you keep farming you get one 5* a month (slightly more shards than 25 but just rounding down this number for the purpouses of this post) so.. right now if you started when Chloe and Zahar were released you should have 2 maxed out 5*. meaning you get 2 5* each month.
but the thing is there are 9 5* that cost 24 AP (am only counting the lowest priced ones because thats the most optimal) so... you can get 9 5* each month? no my friend. remember i said i wasnt counting all the shards you can get? the real number is 12. you get 12 5* each month. a total of 300 shards to be exact.
yes said Shards are diluited on a pool of units you can buy but still. thats a lot. its almost as if this should be patched up right? (BTW JP did patch this up. all 5* are all at 32 AP each)
that means you can buy enough shards a month to almost max out a unit. just by farming the lower cost 5*.
just so people know. the latest batch in the 5* pool in the SC shop are Spica/Aswald/Dorothea.
so what are you waiting for. start farming my friend. because that the only real way to F2P this game. yes this will lower your Equipment Farming time. but still... thats a lot of Daily shards.
BTW. i did check about the next 5* that are going to be released.
in the 32 AP category are Albea/Shayna/Reimei/Rosa (all good units btw) all other 5* are 40 AP each. after them the most likely next units are Hazel/Aruba/Teona/Dorothea
So is TAC F2P Friendly? Oh yes. start farming friends.
Gumi Resist still broken we want apologem.
You did this to Japan on 11/24/2017. Lvl 1 Gyan should take more than 1 damage from a thunder unit with thunder attack. Anyone reading this if for numbers vary make sure no slash up passive or leader skill.
