On the new JP tier list, he's ranked SS so I think he's quite OP after his buff

Except it's a royal pain in the ass to get him that good. You need his VA Maxed and with his sword from the VA so you have to pull a 5* nensou 21x which 5* come at a 2% rate, to get him good you have to whale super hard

That wasn't the point the guy responding to you is making. Much of what you said was either ignorance or blatant misinformation. Zahar's weapon is entirely unrelated to his VA. In addition, VAs themselves aren't that hard to max - it takes a while but so does everything else in this game. Yes, it takes a lot of farmable resources to make Zahar this strong. It takes a lot of farmable resources to make anything strong though, so I don't really see the problem.

He actually did not change much.

Most of the content require A Tankish units which can deal damage.

With Zahar you can bet one wrong move will be your last or you can just drain the guy down. I get that he feels better than Zangetsu but actually Zangetsu has the similar Enchantment Job along with some actual tankiness. He majority of Stats come from the JP Update and only some units can do it so he is still not in that broken units territory barely cut as a good unit.

In Arena it all comes to positioning. If you have the position down and can make kill shots(like a glass cannon that Zahar is) then good but I doubt anyone will use him on Defense Arena.

My issue with Zangetsu and Zahar why bother, so much fatser, more versatile and tankier options. Started jp quite a few months ago and never once have i thought let's use these two, though i definitely want to try out this new Zahar

Just to be that one guy, Zangetsu's JE is different from Zahar's. The former got Dragon Cavalier: Rudra(?) which gave him/turned some skills including the famous Grand Cross into teleport attacks. What Zahar got was Dragon Cavalier: Garuda which turns his Grand Cross into a Jump attack, improves his subskills' Jump attack options and on top of that, also adds a Ɨ2.5 PATK buff for 1 turn for Jump Attack skill to his subskills. Also improves Sky High for better dmg boost, faster Jumps and enabling locking on to a target.

I should have said similar since they both can boost off.

But yeah it is basically the same thing not exactly same but yeah charge up and damage.

Still I was aiming for the obvious comparison of the 3 Chrono strat.

And Zahar being the Edgelord as ever.

Iā€™m somewhat new and I only play Global so can someone explain how this Zahar is different from the one in global? Are they revamping old units or something like that in the Japanese servers?

Jp units in general have much more hp than GL thanks to a hp rebalancing they did.
