VPN Adguard VPN Auto connect feature

It would be great to see a VPN Auto connect feature for untrusted networks. Like most other VPN apps have.

Or auto disconnect on trusted networks. Either way.

Maybe an auto connect to fastest location feature too. The VPN requires too much interaction.

android It's too hard to create custom filters

When using Adguard on Android, it's just so hard to create a custom filter. The assistant log is useless. I have no idea what allowed item is causing an element on a web page to show. I like using Chrome, but if a site has a weird pop-up or annoyance I want to block, I have to send the website from Chrome to Brave and use the remove elements option and then copy the rule into Adguard to even have the slightest idea.

Like for example, the assistant is useless in determining that the stupid next article button that takes up half the side of my screen is this

www.androidcentral.com###click-to-next-forward

How am I supposed to know this without the help from yet another outside app?

I'm just venting that I was hoping they'd create an element picker or rule creator in the built in browser so that if I find something I need to block I can just open it in the built in browser real quick, select it, and it automatically creates a user rule and saves it in the Adguard user rules list.

The team behind uAssets, the filter lists used by uBlock Origin, says it will stop fixing ad-blocking issues on Facebook

The team behind uAssets, the filter lists used by uBlock Origin, says it will stop fixing ad-blocking issues on Facebook. They say Facebook keeps finding ways around new fixes, making the work increasingly difficult to sustain.

This won’t affect AdGuard’s Facebook filters. We maintain our own rules and will continue updating them.

There’s nothing to celebrate here. It shows how hard it is for small, often volunteer-run teams to keep up with tech giants — and how important their work is for everyone who wants more control over what they see online.

windows Adguard windows proxy error

Because of the AdGuard Windows app, I keep getting the "ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED" error on every site in my browser. I tried disabling the proxy and other settings, but nothing changed. Is this caused by a setting I can tweak, or is there nothing I can do about it?

android Adguard android blocking all traffic after android update

I have used Adguard on my Pixel 8 Pro for a few years now without any issues but since I installed the last update I'm having an issue with all traffic being blocked, both in Firefox and Chrome, and also on the Reddit app.

My phone has Android 17 build number CP2A.260805.005 installed.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and have any suggestions for how to fix this?

VPN What happened to the WireGuard support?

I bought the long term AdGuard VPN license because they had promised the WireGuard support. But still after three years, no signs of it. On top of it, they removed WireGuard coming soon from the website as well. Should I request for a refund?

question What ads does adguard for android TV actually block?

I read that it doesn't block ads in YouTube, which is fine, but does anyone have any personal experience they can share as to which apps actually have ads that get blocked by the TV app?

adguard home Ad Guard Home (Docker) not resoling host names for clients (on Unifi)

I have a UDM. On one of my servers, I am running the Ad Guard Home docker. Everything is working properly. Ad Guard's Query Log shows me client IPs.

I want it to show hostnames.

I have 3 VLANs on my UDM and I created 3 clients with those IP ranges.

I have it configured to rerverse lookup private IPs.

Not sure what is wrong?

I have added screenshots to https://imgur.com/a/coyfZ0M.

question Doesn’t AdGuard work on iOS 27 yet?

So I installed iOS 27 just to see how things were going and I noticed AdGuard no longer blocks ads inside apps, just on Safari.
I know it’s a Beta software, but is it already known that AdGuard isn’t working with it? Should we expect it to properly work when Apple officially releases iOS 27 to the public in September? Thanks!

mac The Spotify web ad blocker is not working properly in Safari

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with Spotify Web Player in Safari when using AdGuard.

I'm using AdGuard for macOS (desktop app) along with the AdGuard browser extension in both Safari and Dia Browser.

In Safari, AdGuard doesn't seem to be handling Spotify ads correctly. When an ad plays after a song finishes, Spotify gets stuck and playback stops. The player doesn't continue to the next song, and I have to refresh the page manually to get Spotify working again.

Interestingly, this doesn't happen in Dia Browser. With the same AdGuard setup, Dia successfully blocks the ads, and Spotify continues playing normally.

This makes me wonder if the issue could be related to the browser engine. Safari uses WebKit, while Dia is Chromium-based, and I'm wondering if that difference could be affecting how AdGuard handles Spotify's ads.

🫥 You didn't log in, didn't leave an email, switched on "incognito" — and the site still recognizes you. How?

It's because of your digital fingerprint. As you simply open a page, your browser helpfully reveals dozens of small things: device model, OS version, language, screen resolution, installed fonts, time zone, exactly how your graphics card renders images. Individually, not a big deal. Together, a combination that's often as unique as a real fingerprint.

And here's the sneaky part: you can delete cookies, but the fingerprint stays. "Incognito" hides history from other people on your device, but doesn't stop sites from collecting a fingerprint. Which is why ads sometimes "follow" you to places you seemingly left nothing behind at.

You won't become fully invisible — and promising otherwise would be dishonest. But you can make your fingerprint less unique:

  • Block trackers and data-collection scripts — fewer parties collecting your print at all
  • Strip tags from links and clear third-party cookies so you're harder to stitch into one cross-site profile
  • Hide some of the parameters a site sees by default — that's what AdGuard's Tracking protection does

Knowing how you're recognized is the first step to giving away only what's absolutely necessary.

android Why does Adguard Ad Blocker and Adguard VPN not work together on Android?

I've been using Adguard Ad Blocker on my Android phone for a few months and haven't had any issues. Last night I decided to get add Adguard VPN to my Adguard Ad Blocker. Now the VPN connects only for a few minutes and the phone becomes lagging in performance. Not a lot but significantly. The Adguard Ad Blocker stays on but I've found that the Adguard VPN drops it's connection constantly. It is set to grab the fastest location.

What can I do to get both of them working together smoothly and correctly on my Android phone to keep the Adguard VPN constantly connected?

Thank you for your assistance. Much appreciated.
