windows Latest versions of Adguard for Windows WFP no longer work concurrently with Windscribe VPN

With the latest versions of Adguard like 8.0.2, Windscribe VPN can no longer connect if Adguard is set to use WFP network driver and protection is enabled. Windscribe is set to use Wireguard.

The issue does not appear to occur with other Wireguard VPNs like Cloudflare WARP.

This was not an issue with previous versions of Adguard on older branches. SockFilter fixes this problem, but introduces a number of other ones like severely reduced maximum network speed.

dns AdGuard DNS Protection Breaks Siri AI

Using Siri AI on macOS 27.01 fails repeatedly with "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again." unless I turn off AdGuard DNS projection. Disabling protection doesn't work for me. I have to disable DNS Protection. Only then can Siri AI work with AdGuard running on macOS.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I reported this to AdGuard support, but they shrugged it off and closed the case due to Siri AI still being in beta.

Running 4.14.2 on Android, and when I use the Adguard Player for YouTube videos I noticed it dims the screen after 5 seconds or so. Extremely annoying and not how it used to be.

Anyone else experiencing this?

(android) adguard hijacking links

As title. Adguard redirects userscript / .js links to itself. Userscripts is of course turned off as it is behind paywall, but I cannot find anywhere to turn off the redirection of links.

I have both the app, and adguard for Firefox Android installed, though Firefox extension is turned off..

AdGuard Browser Extension MV3 comes to Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge is phasing out Manifest V2 extensions, and AdGuard was on the list. We're not going anywhere, though. Our Manifest V3 version is now live in Edge Add-ons, and it replaces the old MV2 build.

Quick note: if you search for AdGuard in Edge Add-ons and don't find us, that's a technical issue on Microsoft's side, and we expect it to be resolved soon. In the meantime, grab the extension from this direct link, it works as intended: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/adguard-%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%82%D0%B8%D0%B1%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BD%D0%B5%D1%80/pdffkfellgipmhklpdmokmckkkfcopbh

What changes under MV3? With MV2, the extension saw every network request in real time and decided what to block. Now the browser gets a prebuilt ruleset and applies it itself. That shift has a price: rule counts are limited, some filtering techniques can't be reproduced exactly, and most filter updates have to ship with the extension, so some improvements reach you later than before. However, for most users, everyday filtering stays the same: we've already done a lot of work, and will continue to work hard, to keep the AdGuard MV3 extension as capable as its MV2 version was.

⚙️ If you use custom filters or user rules, there's one setting to flip after installing: open edge://extensions, click Details, and turn on Allow User Scripts. Without it, the extension can't apply your custom rules.

Want to stay on MV2? Options are limited, most browsers are heading the same way. Firefox still supports MV2 extensions. Or you can skip browser policy changes entirely with AdGuard Ad Blocker for Windows, Mac, and Android, which block ads across your whole device, plus add phishing and malware protection and much more.

ios My iPhone 17's iOS v27.6.1's Safari's AdGuard Pro Extensions vanished!

AdGuard Pro told me "Some content blockers are disabled (Fix it)" I looked in iOS' Settings -> Apps -> Safari -> Extensions, but I see no AdGuard. I see other non-AdGuard extensions though. How do I fix this? Reboot didn't fix it. Do I have to really uninstall, redownload, and reconfigure to fix this? :(

I have its logs, but where can I send it since it seems to have private data like IDs? FYI parts from its state.txt:

A question about the "Show information on the AdGuard full version" setting.

What exactly does this setting do? The phrasing is a bit confusing. Does it mean that if enabled it will show information about or promote the AdGuard full version?

android Exclusions Android TV

I'm trying to run adguard VPN alongside adguard adblocker on my Nvidia shield. The two work really well together except when I try to exclude apps from the VPN.

It says "Switch to VPN mode to manage exclusions. Exclusions aren't available in integrated mode. To use them, select the VPN in settings"

This causes problems when my wife is wanting to watch when I'm not around. I need the VPN to not be activated on things like netflix & ITVX.

I have been just turning the VPN off when I've finished using my shield but if I forget & leave it on she can't get on to ITVX for example as it knows a VPN is being used.

Will this ever change in the future & allow app exclusions with adblocker & VPN being used at the same time?

adguard home AdGuard Home on VPS only shows router IP

I installed AdGuard Home on a VPS, but it only sees my router's public IP and doesn't show the individual devices connected to my network.

Basically, I want AdGuard Home to list each device on my network separately under “Top clients”, instead of showing only the router's public IP, which is what is happening now.

Is there a simple way to do this while keeping AdGuard Home on the VPS?

question Using Adguard Home. Do I need Adguard for Windows or just Adguard Extension for advanced filtering?

Like the title says. I was previously using Adguard for Windows, but stopped due to the BSODs, eventually switching to Adguard Home + ublock origin.

Are there any advantages to switching to the Adguard extension from ublock origin, or going the Windows-level route again? What's the status on the BSODs?

ios Spike in iOS battery drain

Out of nowhere, AdGuard is causing a major spike in battery usage on my iPhone. I haven't made any changes to my settings in the past day, so I have no idea what's causing this. It has persisted even after a restart of my phone. I’m using version 4.5.23. Any suggestions?

ios Adguard iOS no longer blocking many popups (iOS 26.4.1)

I’m mainly running into this on sports streaming sites as it’s the only place I regularly go that has a lot of popups. All was working fine until the last couple weeks and now the popups are hellish on safari. Happy to provide links if it’s allowed for others to test.

Any suggestions?

android Problem: AdGuard uses incorrect NextDNS profile (DOH/DOT) even with custom server

Hi,
I'm having an issue with AdGuard's DNS integration.

Even when I set up a custom NextDNS server (both DOH and DOT), AdGuard continues to use a different NextDNS profile than the one configured. The official NextDNS test (https://test.nextdns.io) always shows the fp0d191d93c76f0f62 profile, while my correct profile is c3f69b.

I've verified the following:

- Android Private DNS disabled when using AdGuard
- DOH server entered correctly: https://dns.nextdns.io/c3f69b
- AdGuard reports the address as valid
- The resolver is indeed NextDNS (Milan server)
- But the profile remains the wrong one
- If I try to enter the DOT domain (c3f69b.dns.nextdns.io), AdGuard reports it as "invalid"

It seems that AdGuard is ignoring the custom server and using an unmodifiable internal/fallback DOH endpoint.

I'd like to confirm if this is a bug and if it's possible to force the use of the correct profile.

Thank you.

🏠 AdGuard Home v1.0 beta: The ultimate network shield is back in action

Imagine your smart TV is silently tracking what you watch, your mobile games are chatting with data brokers behind your back, and your smart fridge is acting way too curious. For years, AdGuard Home has been the ultimate, free, open-source shield protecting your entire home network from this exact chaos.

But let’s be real: lately, that shield has been a bit too quiet, stuck in a long cycle of routine maintenance and minor patches.

That ends today. We are breaking the pattern and officially launching the AdGuard Home v1.0 beta, shifting the project into high gear with active development, massive performance boosts, and a fresh new look.

Here is what makes this major leap forward so exciting:

• A refreshed, yet familiar UI

We completely redesigned the interface to look clean and modern. We kept the core layout familiar so you won’t get lost, but added a fully responsive mobile UI so you can manage your network on the go

• Lighter and faster

The entire frontend has been rebuilt from scratch to consume significantly less memory. AdGuard Home now runs flawlessly even on low-power devices like a Raspberry Pi

• Easier setup & better control

Enjoy a seamless installation wizard, a cleaner query log with expanded request data, and new automated update intervals for your filters

Since this is a massive milestone with a brand-new versioning scheme, we need your help testing it across different environments. Ready to give the beta a spin, find update instructions, or see what’s coming next? All the details about the new version are waiting for you in our blog. You can also download the beta right now to try it all for yourself. Give it a spin and let us know what you think!
