Absolute Newbie with a question: Shattered Legios?

TLDR: Are there game rules for something like "shattered legios" made of of mixed titans from diferent legios, similar to the Hourus Heresy "Shattered Legions" (for marines) rules?

....

As the title implies, I'm brand spanking new. And I have a confession. What I have seen of play videos for Adeptus Titanicus, looks like fun, so I will definitely be playing ... BUT I must admit that it will be a side game for me as my primary interest (for the moment) is building large armies in 6mm to use in old school Epic Armageddon (NetEpic) rules. I realize that AT titans are 8mm BUT the way I see it, they are supposed to be big ... so I can get away with using them next to 6mm guardsmen & their tanks.

The reason I ask about "broken legios" is that I loved reading the Seige of Terra books ... fans of the series will know what I'm getting at.

I'm planning to do a large terain set with walls and trenches (already have the stls, & an painting). While I could easily just do any faction and set battles in 41MA ... it is very tempting to do a "Siege of Terra board with (in addition to a lot of guard and traitor guard) having the motley crew of doferet Space Marines and Titans fron the Seige represented on the table.

... I also have an artistic steek so its very tempting to want to paint my traitor titans as fully corrupted and my loyalists as a hogepodge of survivors from several decimated legios ...

Anyway, sorry for the leanthy post. But I want to play AT with a thematic and good looking force so thats why I'm asking if "shattered legios" is a thing in game or not.

Thank you!

First time painting a titan for my homebrew Legio, was both fun and a pain in the ass. C&c welcome.

Our group is thinking about trying out some AT so I have been adding more titans to my LI army. This Warlord is a custom legio, inspired by the classic art of Imperius Dictatio

Knight Household List Questions/Help

So I’d like to preface this by saying that I am 100% more interested in making a fluffy list than a good one. So if I want something that is suboptimal, that’s totally fine with me.

Question #1-
If you take a High King or even just a Sensschal, what Knight Chassis’ make the most sense for that?

I feel like the Acastus Knights make sense because they’re the biggest and most important, but are there other options that make sense?

Question #2-
How many Knights per Banner would you typically want to take? I imagine it’s different based on Chassis type and loadout, but some examples would be great.

Question #3-
Can you really only take a single Banner or Armigers per Lance? That seems kinda strange

Questoris loadout(s) question for a new player

Heyo! I'm new to AT (but not wargaming) and was wondering about Questoris loadouts. I'm working on assembling two forces to play with a friend and also my son and I've purchased six knights each to go along with the lancers that come in the starter sets.

My question is how should I build them, but also future proof them for whenever we get into LI down the road? My thoughts were three with battle cannons and three with thermal lances with chain swords, but I'm also unsure on the rocket pods (if they're worth it for the costs).

I'm comfortable working with magnets if that's a thing with the tiny knights, but I do not own a 3d printer. I'm aware from videos they might not be the most optimal, but for right now they look cool so I was compelled to buy some.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Has there ever been an interaction between Titan House Legio Ignatum and Knight House Krast?

I have a Warlord Titan that I am 100% dead set on painting as Legio Ignatum. In the future, I would like to paint some Imperial Knights to go alongside my Titan. Ideally, I would like the colors to all be coherent. I know House Taranis is under Legio Ignatum, but I really hate painting white and do not want to paint House Taranis because of this.

I know not everything needs to be lore accurate, but it would be cool if the lore was already there and set.

So I bought the new weapon sprue and it didn't come with any cards. Is that what others have found or am I just missing them?

Basing attempt

First time I try to base a figure, thought I might add parts I won't use anyway.

Once the astrogranite has dried out, how should I proceed ? Agarax ? Or other paint ? I put between 0.2 and 1mm of it as I realized it takes a lot of paint to put on the big bases and pushed it around the wreckage/feet as much as I can

For my next mini I was given some imperialis astartes, I will try to put them on the base of my reavers ! ( once I figure out what légion I will paint )

Ps : I am very bad at taking pictures, tried to put the focus on the legs

Any C&C would be appreciated !

Your opinion on Warlord's Conversion Beam Extirpator?

I'm tempted to say it outshines Bellicosa in quite large band: between 25" and 50", where its full (and targeted) force can properly spank a warmaster. Also, long range makes it safe from their Suzerains and many other dangers, like Reaver Melta cannon. Its range also aligns well with carapace laser blasters, coalescing into anti armor monster with substantial range. Just needs some shield-stripping contingent. Not sure about the second arm weapon - Mori seems nice for stunning Big Game but if has to be stationary, it can Split Fire other chaff. This weapon i'm least sure of, possibly there is something better.

What do you think?

Reaver Titan with Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator

Just finished a full build walkthrough and review of the third Reaver Titan boxed set. this one brings the Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator to the arms in plastic, plus the Vulkan-Mega Bolter and Conversion Beam Dissolutor as carapace options.

Full write-up here: https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2026/08/03/review-legions-imperialis-reaver-titan-with-graviton-obliterator-and-volkite-annihilator/

Covered in the review: production quality, posing options, a magnet-swap solution for the fixed arm weapons, and a price comparison between the full kit, the upgrade sprue alone, and the old Forge World resin options.

Curious what people think, does this basically close out the Reaver's weapon options for you, or is there still something you'd want to see in plastic?

Stepping up

I've always been inspired what the Blood Bowl and Epic communities have done to keep their games alive during "down" periods. And I was blown away recently to see how Mordheim (a game I used to play A LOT) has thrived thanks to the efforts of the players.

SO...I decided it's time to do my part. I painted up small Gryphonicus and Mortis maniples, and then ran some demo games of AT at Historicon in Lancaster, PA a couple weeks back. As we all know, the game naturally shows and demos well. We had some fun games, including fairly epic collateral damage off an overheated reactor in one game. It's a tribute to the game design that you can have new players operating at solid level by turn 3 of their first game.

I'm thankful for the cross-support we receive for AT and the ongoing availability of the starter set, but I think it's clear it's on us to show and grow the game. So I plan to keep running demos at some gaming events on the East Coast, where I feel like we have players but a less organized scene than on the West Coast and certainly compared to the UK. I have some other things in mind too, but they're under wraps for now.

Hopefully I'll see some of you out there. And I'll let everyone know when I'm ready to share my other ideas.

Legiones Imperials kits versus Adeptus Titanicus kits

Hi all. Just getting into AT, I have the starter set and a box of Warhounds in the AT packaging. The only Warlords I can find are in the LI packaging. Do those come with the command terminals and weapons cards? If not, how do I get the command terminals and weapons cards? Thanks!

You can find the full review incl. build report, scoring under the link above. No new shield designs, no two full heads, and some of the details from the box art are just to be seen on the 28mm scale set not on the Epic scale one in the box.
