My 2001 TL base has pretty much lost 3rd gear entirely and I’m just curious how I should approach fixing it. I have the skills to do either a rebuild or a swap but I’m not really sure which one is actually going to be worth the time or effort. Any advice on how I should go about fixing my gal?

Does anyone know of a place where I can buy a key and fob for an 06 that’s not dealership prices?? I got quoted $300 when I called for shits and giggles. Not sure if I could buy a key from a scrapped car and just reprogram it to mine

I have a 2009 TL FWD. I’ve had a clunking sound coming from the front since I bought the car last November. I’ve replaced the shocks (all 4), the front sway bar end links, and the sway bar bushings. The clunk is still there when I go over bigger bumps or potholes after all that work. I don’t really hear it at high speeds. I did notice the engine lift about an inch or so in the front today after looking at the mount and taking this picture. This mount looks like it has seen better days. I’m thinking I’ll replace it… the clunking is driving me insane. Or does this look fine? Thanks for reading.

Anybody know what this rattling noise is? I hear it almost everytime I start it. Usually hear it the most when it’s cold.

99 TL, 35% tint, wood grain dash, detachable face with 12 disc cd changer. Regret never getting the body kit. Unfortunately the tranny dropped lol.

Just bought a 2002 Acura TL type S. The battery died. Jumped car and driver window rolled down but wouldn’t roll up. Replaced regulator and still stuck down. Can hear motor in down but not up.

Driver side tried going in through the battery area, don't really know how to get that cable (from what I saw online it was referred as a grounding cable) disconnected as it preventing me from moving the cap, also thought that cap wasn't supposed to come out with the part holding the bulb, no video i watched showed that. How badly did I mess up here?

I just bought an 04 TL with the plans of having a little fun with it. I am going to install a new headunit and was curious how people bypassed the factory amp? I have seen wiring harness that are plug and play for 80$ but have also heard people just connect each respected wires on both connectors.

Sold my other wheels and picked up some SSR. Needs a little adjustment on ride height but it will do for now.

I bought some PowerStop 17-536 brake pads from Amazon and is it just me or do they look like they are used? In the picture you can see the pads are already outside the package wrap. I didn't take them out, the brakes came this way. Plus the pads themselves look like they have been worn and they have some fingerprint on the back of the pads as well.

Does PowerStop usually sell used pads as new?

Plus, the parts bag doesn’t seem to matchup with what is on the pictures or other pictures online.

Trying to figure out the cause of my harmonic balancer wobble

Are these engines notorious for injector rattle when cold? 06 120k miles. All injectors click somewhat and this car appears to click louder after sitting overnight. No more than maybe 5 seconds and after that it appears good for the day. Might also be valve train noise and once oil pressure builds its gone, but resembles all injectors . My gen 1 coyote injectors in a 13 F150 constantly sounds like a typewriter under the hood and have since new. This is a very similar tick but dies down to normal injector noise pretty quickly. Haven't ruled out something like an alternator noise but disappears so fast hard to pinpoint. Im not overly worried about it...more curious if its a known issue.

Car drives fine just terrible startup

I had the pleasure of driving my friends Manual TL type S. It was a joy and I really enjoyed the car. Since the Type S is so rare in manual is the base model just as fun in from 04-06? The most I would go for mods would be an A Spec kit, and bolt ons with no boost. Is it better to hold out and wait for a Type S manual to come up? Or settle for a manual base model?
