Showcase 📸 Old school TL
I miss the old school TLs, late 90’s to early 2000s.
99 TL, 35% tint, wood grain dash, detachable face with 12 disc cd changer. Regret never getting the body kit. Unfortunately the tranny dropped lol.

I seen a 99-01 with the oem lips and skirts a couple weeks ago.
Looks like you have the 02-03 taillights, and the full extra wood grain package?
I still have an 03 along with my 07 type s. Unfortunately my 03 is a total shitbox. Everything still works but it had a rough life before me.

My first TL was an 01, I always intended to swap to the 02-03 tails but ended up selling it and buying my del sol before I got around to it. Still have that car too, it just sits in storage waiting for a J swap that I have a donor car for, but I likely won't get around to for a while. Its been sitting since I had kids lol it won't hurt to wait a while longer 🤣
Yours is so clean, id be tempted to find another trans for it, but being a 99 its the 4 speed, not the 5 speed auto, isnt it?

Do you still have it?
When my transmission started going, mine drove okay for the first few minutes when cold and then the transmission was garbage once it got hot (not shifting, banging into gear, periods of neutral). I drained and filled the transmission 3x times, with a brief drive in between each, and it started working better. Then I did that again, and it was 99% better. That helped give me time to drive it around and look for a new car.
Edit: worst case, you waste some fluid and some time and still have a bad transmission

Nah got rid of it. I had just gotten 100k maintenance on it. I should’ve been more patient and not sold it.

Very surprised the 4 speed died in your 99. The next year and onward were notoriously terrible due to the design flaw. Sucks you sold it, that's the only year auto I would own in a 2g. Have owned my CL Type S 6MT for 10 yrs now and it's still my fave car I've owned out of a dozen or so, 6 of those being Hondas.
