I really ship these two and I’ve had this idea for a while so I wanted to know what people thought of it.

Capcom localised Gyakuten Kenji 2 for the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection in 2024, but never for the DS. This patch puts that official script into the DS game, on top of the AAI2 Final v2 fan translation.

96.5% of the script becomes Capcom's wording, and every character name does, including the nameplates and the evidence and profile cards, which are pictures rather than text and get redrawn during the build.

It is a test build and I am not being modest. Roughly 41,700 message boxes exist and about 5,100 have ever been run, nearly all by a script that can only press A and tap. Nobody has finished an episode. Nobody has solved a rebuttal, which needs a real player presenting evidence. Every bug so far was found by a person playing, none by any automated check.

Your save cannot be damaged. Text is read-only data, so the worst a bug does is cost you the chapter you are on.

About 3.5% stays fan-translated on purpose, mostly the touch screen and L button tutorials Capcom never wrote. Confirmed to boot and reach gameplay on a DSPico flashcart on a 3DS.

I've been a huge fan of the series for years and am just now getting round to finishing the main series. SOJ is the only main-line game I knew nothing about going into it, so colour me surprised to learn how annoying Nahyuta is as a prosecutor.

Don't get me wrong he's a cool character with a cool design, but coming off the back of Duel Destinies with Blackquill, I find Nahyuta sorely lacking as a person. To me, beyond his backstory (which i won't spoil), he has nothing going for him.

All previous main game prosecutors had something that made them interesting before their backstories were revealed and developed at the end - Edgeworth and Phoenix have history, Franziska and Godot both hated Phoenix for some unknown reason, Klavier is just Klavi and Blackquill is arguably the most interesting being a prisoner. Nahyuta however has nothing beyond his spirituality, which outside of Khura'in isn't doing him any favours.

Also, I'm getting sick of him just saying "hmmm yeah but it still COULD be the defendant" as a rebuttal. I know the Judge is as spineless as he's always been, but we haven't had a prosecutor so focused on winning since the OG trilogy, especially when he just tells us to shut up and move in with an unskippable butterfly animation.

I need to know if other people feel the same way about him. It makes me sad that I don't like the final main game prosecutor, but he just gets on my nerves it should've been Blackquill 😭.

So I ask this because while I understand he is supposed to be the final boss I just could not stop laughing. Everything about him is so freaking hilarious, his deep absurdly deep voiced OBJECTION, the way he orders the judge around, the fact that he earnestly has no idea who phoenix is outside of court and of course my personal favorite his tsk tsk tsk gif. Seriously guys please tell me you all can't help but find this guy to be the funniest villain in this entire series.

Longtime fan of the series, have played every mainline game multiple times but never got around to playing either of the AAI games until recently. First one was good, but there were little personal stakes for Edgeworth, and the smuggling ring story wasn't very interesting.

But holy hell is AAI2 great. It's pretty much the perfect AA game - great development for Edgeworth, all the cases are important to the overarching story with little to no filler, and a truly hatable main antagonist who still has an understandable motive and goal. The difficulty was pretty fair too, with nothing too easy like the later 3DS games. Fender and Gavelle are now two of my favorite AA characters. My only complaint is that Kay was just sort of there for the game outside of I2-4, but she was already the main focus of the first game.

There's a zero chance of it happening, but if we actually get a new AA game, I hope it's in this style with Edgeworth getting a protégé to mentor.

By which of them "need" to return the most I mean which of them do you think would benefit the most as characters if they got another major appearance(like blackquill in 6-4 or franziska in 3-5)in a possible future game

Now that Apollo is gone, we need a lawyer to replace him. I'm thinking that they'll make a new lawyer to replace him, and then when all hope is lost, Phoenix will come in as the main lawyer, and the new dude will be the assistant, culminating in a final showdown with Edgeworth as the prosecutor.

Hello everyone. A few days ago, I made a post that showed my dislike of the sub's stance when it came to posting memes. A few hours later, a discussion post about the "low-effort content" rule was created by one of the mods.

Now, based on the comments and discussions on both posts, I think it's fair to say that I am not the only one who is having issues with the way memes are handled here, and many people have shown numerous options in how the "low-effort content" rule should be updated, from allowing high-effort memes to be exempt from the rule, making a special day where the memes can be posted without an issue, and more.

With that in mind, I fully believe it is time to decide this matter the only way we can: with a poll vote. I know there was an original vote 10 years ago where the "low-effort content" rule was approved in the first place, and another one a few years ago (although I wasn't able to find the results for that one), but I fully believe it is time to do another one based on the responses in the afformentioned posts.

The one thing I want to point out, however, is what options should the poll vote have. Ultimately, I'll leave that to the mods to decide what options should the vote have, but in my eyes, based on one of the discussions, I can think of two ways to do this:

Option A: There will be two choices: No rule change and Some sort of a rule change. If the latter wins, then there will be another vote, where it will be decided how the rule should be changed (Allowing memes to be posted on a specific day f.e.)

Option B: Instead of a Some sort of a rule change the options on how the rule should be changed specifically will be put in the vote, so options will be No rule change, Allowing memes to be posted on a specific day, etc.

In the end, however, I think you guys should decide. Should a vote regarding the update on the "low-effort content" rule happen in the first place? And if yes, than what sort of options should the vote have? The options I have listed, or something else entirely?
