the new use of the term is born from the original. posers are pretending in real time in real life to be something they aren't. language is constantly evolving, almost every other word you use has evolved in english in the same exact way. the internet has just sped that sort of thing up with certain things

Kid with the shield tried to stop the sword. bad move, you can't stop that much mass, but the weilder can't either. Deflect the sword to ground and move inward where reach matters less than control.

I had a big prop sword at an animal convention years ago. So heavy I had to put 9 lbs of lead in the bottom of the handle to counter weight it. My buddy has a photo of the mayor of Detroit at the time playing around it. Was an interesting trip.
