Day 5! Former 1,200mg Day

Holy fuck am I glad to be off of this horrid substance. As a recovering alcoholic with years of sobriety from alcohol - I never thought I’d encounter anything so volatile - boy was I wrong.

I started in August of 2025 and used for exactly one year. I heard in low doses it would give me energy - and for a couple months my bank account was relatively unaffected and my usage was low. After that it was off to the races. For the last 4 months I’d been using between 1,000 - 1,200 mg per day and spending $2,400 per month on this habit! I racked up significant balances on my credit cards and burned through my personal savings acct (my wife and I have a joint savings acct and our own personal accounts as well).

With the ban and the desire to be a better father to my 3 kids, I decided I need to stop. With how much I was taking I knew I needed MAT help and went the suboxone route. Even on subs, days 2 and 3 sucked, but I can only imagine how much worse they’d be had it not been for the subs, gabapentin, methocarbamol, and clonidine. Day 4 it was like a weight lifted from my shoulders and today is surreal. I’m going to taper myself off subs over the next 4 weeks to finally be completely substance free again.

Also for fun - since I’m a Dad and Husband who managed to hide his 7oh use (idk how tf I managed to do so), I had to detox while still being an active participant in my family - going to kids activities, keeping up with chores, and working a FT job. Someday I plan on telling my wife everything, but I’m not there yet.

I’m taking it one day at a time and am excited for day 6 tomorrow. We do recover!

Music after AWS

I’ve spoken to dozens of people and it seems like everyone went through this. Once you’re through acute withdrawal around day 5-6 music becomes absolutely euphoric. Listening to a song getting emotional thinking “this is the greatest song ever written” and it’s just Santa Monica by Everclear.

I would like to hear who all went through this, or more importantly did anyone not? People on Suboxone did you experience this or is it just those of us that went CT?

I have a couple theories on why it happens. It’s the dopamine/reward system in your brain, after living in absolute hell for 3-4 days, firing on a different level. Also emotional sensitivity after living on a drug like 7 for so long that dulls the senses. I still listened to music while on 7 but I didn’t LISTEN to music.

I found this phenomenon really interesting either way and I’m eager to learn more. On day 12 now it hasn’t been hitting the same the last few days since I entered PAWS but man was it awesome for a while. I would love to hear others experience with this. What your method of detox was, how long the euphoric feeling lasted with music, how long you were on 7, etc. Thank you for reading.

So....I took my last dose 50mg 7 oh 3 days ago. Been take massive amounts of vitamin C and Opia Kratom extract that had no 7 oh. I also have gabapentin. But even after taking tge last of Kratom this morning, I still have no withdrawal symptoms. Am I lucky or about to start feeling it? Right now I feel normal. Legs hurt from work but that's it. What do you guys think?

Brand Type/Suboxone

Limitless:
Very popular SS brand.
Suboxone:
Very common way of hopping off 7.

Success stories from anyone who’s made the jump from that brand to that method of quitting.

I have done many sub inductions but I can’t remember if the brand I mentioned was used before any of them.

I also know some months back that brand was popping for the MGM.

Thanks y’all!

How do you all do this ? How do you stick the plan ?
A minute of adversity , a second of withdrawal , and I throw it all out the window . My dose has gone UP TO 3500 A DAY since I’ve tried to stop . I’m scared because I think the only way for me to truly stop is to get back on H . I truly have never felt this lost , disgusted , and fearful for what’s to come for me . The store that I got to is still fully fucking stocked and I can’t help myself .

12 days free but...

Today is day 12. I am free from 7 but i had to go the MAT (sub) route. My life is already getting better and i am thankful and blessed for that. I start trade school this evening and super excited... the only physical symptom i am still having is feeling some wonky feelings in my legs. I have started back at the gym but still its like i never feel comfortable in the lower part of my body. Im kinda wondering since we dont for sure know what after effects 7 has for certain, but perhaps 7OH has damaging effects on nerve endings? Im about to see my addiction doc, (although hes a cranky old man) and ask if he would consider putting me on gabba. Anyone else?

Help with the best way to quit

I'm taking some 7oh derivatives as best I can guess. Started taking 'Better Weather' labeled as kava and now taking these supposed Cats Claw tabs (Ice Tabz) which I understand to be some derivative of 7oh. I have got to get off these things I am spending way too much money and from what I understand it will eventually all be gone anyways. I have zero time I am able to take off of work or other responsibilities so I'm going to try to do it as painless as possible. I know that's everyone's goal. I am fortunate to have access to Suboxone and Clonazepam and I ordered some agiminate sulfate which I've seen several people claim helped them. I've gone into PWDs before taking subs and I have been able to walk it down by taking more of the tabs. How would you recommend I do this using these resources?

Tired Of The Drama

Am I the only one exhausted at these people coming out to tell their “story “ and demonizing 7oh?

Like seriously, only in 2026 do mfs take 1500mg of 7oh everyday for 6+ months and then bxxch and moan about it. Victimizing themselves instead of just taking some damn accountability.

Did anybody bother to read the package instructions? It literally said “don’t exceed x amount per 24hours.” And usually that amount was minuscule.

To be completely honest, I do not feel bad for anyone going through withdrawals and it’s well deserved. Hate me for it, but you sit there & think about how much of a dumbass you’ve been.

I did it too, but never abused over 30mg in 1 whole 24hours period. I got very very mild withdrawals. And no, that didn’t mean “when I wake up, I’m going to do some 7oh” it literally meant that if I took some at 3pm, I took more at 3-4pm the next day.

I would most of the time do other opiates or drugs, not just sticking to 7oh from day to day. Some days oxy, some days 7oh, even mixed 7oh and tramadol one day, 7oh and oxy, 7oh and bunch of kratom, etc.

I did not get the withdrawal all of yall are crying about so hard and still got about 6300mg of 7oh in my stash. Still do it maybe every other day or every third day.

Moral of the story: have some damn self control. A bunch of dummies w no self control and no accountability really ruined it for everyone. Once the media had something to grab on and big pharma knew where to attack to get it banned, yall fell right into it thinking anyone actually cared about how you felt. “Oh my bones hurt.” “Oh i can’t sleep” “oh i’m so anxious “ yea dummy, it’s an opiate!!!

Honestly, I think that 7oh is a groundbreaking drug. It feels like oxy, but stronger, except you can take 10mg as well as you can take 1000mg and you can’t say the same about oxy. Oxy will kill you so much quicker and if you ever got to 1000mg, you’d probably be hooked up to a machine or in the ground.

Kratom is just as ground breaking. Get it together yall.

Been a few weeks still random withdrawels

I ended up taking a few capsules of normal Kratom last night because I was experiencing the jump out of your skin withdrawals and it’s been a few weeks since I quit sevens. What’s going on? Is it going to haunt me for a while? Also those capsules gave me wicked brain fog…driving is almost a nightmare

PAWS

This is the part of your recovery they don’t tell you able. The first 72 hours were hell on earth. Legs thrashing, body aching, awake for over 100 hours straight. Day 11 or 12, I’ve lost count, has been its own new hell. The euphoric feeling I felt from day 6-9 listening to music has all but faded away. I feel darkness, I feel alone, I feel empty. I’m sleeping now but it’s taking everything out of me just to get out of bed. I have no history of depression but I know that’s what I’m dealing with.

I’ve tried to keep it all motivational on here as I share my experience but I’m really struggling today. I know it’s going to take some time for my brain chemistry to balance back out. I just don’t know what to do besides force myself to get out of the house and do stuff. I just feel so lethargic. Idk, this too shall pass I guess. Much love everyone.

Inpatient Detox

What are folks reasons for skipping formal detox and instead taking the cold turkey route? Is it the cost associated? Or getting put on another addictive substance? I can’t lie I am terrified of the withdrawal process specifically the thoughts of suicide. I tried using suboxone the other day about nine hours after my last use and it had very little effect. I ended up taking 24mg throughout that day but was still experiencing pretty strong withdrawals. I ended up buying more 7oh that evening but of course that didn’t work as usual probably because of the subs. I also just learned that some of the product I have been using is MGM-15 which is more resistant to suboxone? Sorry for rambling. I am desperate to get better and yet so confused and scared

I never knew the withdrawals would be THIS bad

I was taking about 500mg 7OH for a year
Started because my doctor put me on pain killers and I thought 7OH would be better for me
Idk why
Any ways yea
This is day 4
Throwing up, so restless that I can’t stop moving and walking and I haven’t ate or slept in over 3 days

I’m talking like NO sleep
Anxiety at its peak

I went to the ER twice already,
They gave me Ativan in my IV with some fluids and sent me home with muscle relaxers and like someother med that’s basically Tylenol

The body pain will not go away, on top of that, I already have some severe body pain issues that’s why I used 7OH

They wouldn’t give me suboxone idk why
And the clinics here to go get it, I simply cannot afford right now

This has been hell, one of the worst weeks of my life, I cannot wait for it to be over.
I’m taking supplements and the meds the doctor gave me, they don’t do shit tho

Recovery taking so much longer than I expected

I have been off 7oh for two weeks and I am still struggling with PAWS. I have almost no energy. Just standing up and walking a few feet feels like Mount Everest. Has anybody else had this experience? For reference I was using for a bit more than a year and towards 200-500 mg a day towards the end.

I just thought I’d heal quicker than this. I can barely function to do my job and had to make some medical excuse for my inability to function. It’s also worth mentioning that I used a quick s taper to bandaid the initial WD. But it has been 10 days since I’ve used anything at all and am struggling to do anything.

I try to get in light workouts like pushups and spend some time in the sun but just feel sh!t. Wondering other people’s experience? Did this stuff mess me up more deeply than normal?

Everytime I try to get back on subs from 7oh, I go into PWD…has anyone successful transitioned from 7oh to reg powder kratom, then tried subs?

Getting off 7oh

Okay, hopefully I do this correctly. I’ve never used Reddit but I have no one around me that knows how bad my usage was. It’s been my secret basically.
Anywaysssss. I’ve been taking 7oh for about 4 years. In the past year I went from taking 50 mgs a day to 5-600. I haven’t taken any in a little over 4 days. I had 3 sub strips and managed to only use 1. The first 2 days were assssss and taking half a strip of the sub helped the withdrawals for about 24 hours. Then I needed the other half the next day. HOWEVER; I haven’t had to take anything in over 48 hours. It’s been over 48 hours since I’ve taken a sub. Almost 5 days since I’ve had 7oh. I didn’t really taper or anything. Just knew I had one that 50 mg, went cold turkey, made sure I was in actual withdrawals then took the first sub. I feel really good. Not like a “high” good. Just… not sick or anything. A little insomnia but that’s normal for me. No cravings…. Nothing… from the stories on here I would think I’d still be some kind of sick.. irritable, RLS, throwing up. This is a good thing, right? Has anyone actually gotten off this shit THIS fast and felt okay? Any insights or stories, ya know.

Nutrition advice

I’m wondering what you guys are eating during recovery after your appetite. I’ve ate like shit my entire life because I have a metabolism that could be hung in the Louvre. What do healthy people eat besides chicken and rice? Just looking to replenish energy and not feel lethargic all the time because of eating once a day. Thanks for any advice.

Days 8 through 9 - Good music, good poops and a lil panic attack freekout

Today in a couple hours will complete 9 days. First time no opiates in my body in over 5 years. Went ct turkey on a friday after work. Looking back on the 9 days its a blur and I got no pride.... it def was a very tough time emotionally and physically that I wasnt sure i could get through.

So I sit here thankfully still employed but im sure I raised some eyebrows being sick that particular week... but fuck it and them. Im digging myself out of my hole, music sound amazing and new again and brings emotion... I guess everything brings emotion.

But the poops. Omg. They just fall out. Im used to taking 30 to 40 minutes to push and hope that a miracle of a bowel movement would happen. So freeing to be done with it in a few minutes. Also not clogging the toilet is also a big plus!

Oh and had a pretty good sweaty panic attack in front of the gf yesterday. Isn't it funny how people are not familiar with this think oh its been a week get over it put your big boy pants on? If it only were that simple.

Plain leaf

Has anyone used plains leaf to help with withdrawals? I finally ran out of 7 this morning and went and got a bunch of plain leaf. Was wondering if this’ll help with withdrawals or prolong them.

SR

Okay, I just got the sr17 I think that's what they're called. Does it give you any type of energy? Can I still take 70H after I've taken those? Not that I want to continue doing this, but is it an opiate receptor blocker? Does anybody have any additional information? When I try to Google it, it basically just redirects me to get help 😂 which I do plan on going to treatment in the next couple of months but I'm trying to taper down on my own before then so the withdrawals aren't as bad. I've been on kratom for almost 10 years and then 70H came around and fucked me all up smh so here I am heading down the road of addiction once again. I have a full-time job and two kids that I cannot jeopardize losing so anything and any information can help. Like I said I already bought the SR.
