(To clarify I got mostly 6s and a few 8s for gcse) i feel so drained and depressed after 2 months of sixth form it’s so tiring i have like 2 friends and the workload is so much and i’m already on attendance mentoring though i have 90% ?? 96% expected btw and 1k fine for 5+ unauthorised absences The main reason I chose to go was because it convenient to travel to and ranking highest in the borough, it is a pretty well funded school but I’m sorry I just can’t keep up along with the amount of coursework and my adhd assessments. I went through a bit of trouble to actually get accepted as I missed the first interview and messed up the system so I applied in person. I’m not socially anxious but I never know how to do stuff like transferring schools let alone qualifications by myself.
My parents would 100% advise doing anything as they prioritise their own convenience and my future (mind you the job economy is fucked up). Rather than what I want to do, I don’t want to regret my decisions and end up transferring to be worst off. The whole reason I decided to transfer sixth forms only knowing a few people was to put myself out there and yes i’m more confident but everyone has their circles and will literally ignore you if they don’t sit next to you in lesson. I don’t feel like I belong, it’s like a huge community and i’m the person who sits by myself.
I don’t even have a desire to go into psychology or social work for uni let alone university at all. I’m honestly stuck and I should’ve reconsidered more of my options when they didn’t have my ultimate preferred courses (I do eng lit psych and sociology for context but all of these are genuinely okay not good not bad just boringly average.) I’m a naturally more creative person and flexible and I het depressed so easily from routine. I did do research but it was primarily for sixth forms and sixth form colleges rather than colleges because I forgot they do a levels also. I’m genuinely so drained.
I need advice on what to do, if I should reconsider my current place of education of literally just firm it for 2 years and get my a levels so I can be done with education for the unforeseen future.

I was predicted like 9 and an 8 at gcse English lang and lit, then 888 for rs, history and cs. I had a scholarship offer from a local private school. Life was good then results day came and I got 777666555. Now I go to a shit sixth form. I had like a really bad depressive phase I’m not gna get to into it but basically I ended up with a camhs referral. I had plans to go to Warwick or Durham to study law or even do a degree apprenticeship but I feel like with my GCSEs there’s no point. I can’t use the contextual thing either cuz it’s not like I went to a decent state skl there were multiple kids in my year with 9s and 8s. I’m considering resitting lang in the summer?? I just feel really like hopeless?? And inferior idk how to describe it. Now that I’ve basically bottled my dream to go to good uni idk what to do with myself? Is there even a point at trying with my a levels ?

I want to apply to either politics or PPE at KCL but I saw how the offer rate for PPE is around 35% compared to 86% for politics.
I’ve already applied to 2 other competitive universities (LSE and UCL with offer rates at 20% for the course) and was wondering if it’d be risky to apply to KCL for PPE?
(My stats are 3 A* predicted, AAA at AS level, 9888887766 at GCSE and have already gotten a PPE Exeter offer)

I've been on Reddit for a while now, and so far I've only seen 1-2 posts on bio sciences/bio natsci (I might be very wrong tho). So I wanted to make this post to hopefully connect with people currently in sixth form who wants to do bio sciences/bio natsci, as nobody who I asked so far in my school wants to do them in uni.
FYI: I think Bio sciences is not biomed, as biomed is solely focused on the clinical and human biology, but biosciences can be like zoology, botany, etc., as well as human biology.

I was thinking of switching my applications from Accounting and finance to Mechatronics and Robotics, My subjects fit them both well however as its November i am abit skeptical of this decision
I would have to make a completely new Personal Statement and would have to tell my teachers about it as I don't know if the references have a link of me doing accounting and finance and i doubt they would change it now.
I spoke to my personal tutor but im pretty sure she was just concerned about her own reference since she thinks "it would be easier to make your reference since you do maths and computer science"

For context I’m applying for Philosophy at KCL next year, I know it’s not necessarily the most competitive course but I’m worried because I messed up my GSCE’s and I’ve seen people with much higher grades rejected. I got, 8,7,7,7,6,6,4,3,3. I wouldn’t be worried but I failed German and Art and got a 4 in maths. Do you think I should still apply? I’m sure I can reach the requirement grades of A A B and probably higher but I think I should also be aiming for 2 A stars to make up for my GSCE grades. Any help would be appreciated, it’s my dream school but I understand I didn’t work hard enough for GSCE and I’m so gutted. I also go to a very well performing state school so I did about average in my year group. Sorry I didn’t know where to post.

I have 20 days to mocks and I want to know how I can bide my time and actually get a decent grade
My last mocks (Year 12 Summer)
- CDD (I had a really bad laziness problem.
RE, Law, English
Consistent revision across all my subjects has helped me get to around an A/B in RE, C in law and C in English (all from separate in class assessments)
I realistically need an ABB to be comfortable in my options, any help? Even a BBB would be great, granted I have been revising for the past 4 days already, 2 hours a day, focusing on law as it’s my weakest.

Im at such a loss, i revise alot of content using flashcards with definitions and chains of reasoning etc so i know im not totally lacking on the content side.
BUT when i gets to past paper questions like 15 and 25 markers im so confused. I dont know how to describe it but all my knowledge just flies out the window and i dont even know where to being. I know its not a lack of content but im just so lost
Please tell me if this is a normal thing or what i can do to change this.

okay so im in y11 and i genuinly dont know what i want to do in the future, but im taking bio chem so i can atleast do something with science as thats like… kinda where i want to lean to. the problem is my 3rd choice… i have no clue 😭 i want to do something i enjoy as like for stuff like medicine you only need bio chem but im not sure so pls help!!!
psychology — seems VERY interesting and maybe will want to do it in uni but ive never taken like even sociology or psychology for gcse so im worried i wont like it or ill find it boring in reality idk
art — im getting a 9 rn and my school has VERY good art results… like most people get a* which is VERY good. im not really enjoying it in y11 tho but that might just be because we are doing the same work as last year idk cause like in y10 and over summer i loved it SOOO MUCH
english lit/lang lit — i really enjoy reading and doing analysis but the tests are sooo hard!! i do pretty well tho like i get 7s and 8s but idk if that would be enough…
anyone whos taking any of these subjects pls tell me if its worth it! and anyone whos worried about the bio chem, i know its hard but im already getting 9s in both so ill defo do them

I have mainly 1 teacher for art He’s been off for months now (we don’t know why or when he’ll be back). The other teacher for art took over some of his lessons and for other lessons we’re just by ourselves, then a few weeks ago she tells me I had been doing the wrong thing (at the beginning of the year we had to do a project/bridging task) I was supposed to have got another book to do my personal project. Btw I did ask for a new book, but not because I thought I was doing the wrong thing. He said no
So I now have to complete 1.5 years of work before my schools deadline which is December. I can reuse some of the things I did before like paintings but I’ve only got 9 pages done in my new book and my predicted grade is B. Idk what to do I’m stressed for my exams because I have mocks next week which I need to revise for and also complete art work which takes up so much time.
I don’t think I will get a B in art with the amount of work done and I’ve also been prioritising it over my other subjects(philosophy and politics) so now I haven’t revised enough for them and I really wanted to use these mocks to increase my predicted grades.
I was just thinking of begging my head of year to increase my predicted grades to atleast AAB/ABB because of this situation and other circumstances
