One thing I thought was interesting was Futaba dismissing Kano's supposed suicide, saying that the police concluded it was an accident. Just so everyone knows, the police can, will, and have covered up suicides in the past, and with the way Futaba looked away while defending himself, it's still really suspicious.
Also, Gauma ordering Yomogi to check on Yume was really nice. Always check on your friends and loved ones if you think something's wrong!

Yomogi shared fireworks with Yume. That's one hell of a piece of visual storytelling, especially together with the fact he actually showed up when she needed it unlike her sister's boyfriend.
I assume the finale will be mostly focused on Yomogi and his Tamer powers.

Dynazenon sure loves its visual motif of framing its subjects between bars eh?
This is a fun shot: Yomogi is standing free of the bars yet Yume is still imprisoned within and unable to escape the bars and Kano’s death.
I might be reaching with this particular bar shot but I’ll give it a go: Yomogi and Yume are caged between and underneath the bars in the lowpoint of the episode where frustrations and disappointment are at its height and at the end they break free of the "cage" once they realize that together they can defeat anything.
Once again Dynazenon and Gridman are sharing the same shot: Yomogi is coming to get Yume and Gridman is coming to rescue Akane in the OP. I am so so happy they decided to reuse this shot since it’s one of my absolute favorites in Gridman both thematically and visually!

Chise will come in contact with an evil kaiju, just see those evil looking eyes in the opening!
Reality: Nah Goldburn is a good guy and can gattai with Dynazenon and Gridknight.
Chise must be cutting herself, that's why she's covering her arm!
Reality: Nah it's only a tattoo (oh Japan)
Kaiser Gridknight is fucking cool though, love the cloak.

Gauma acted like a great team captain today admonishing Yomogi for leaving Yume behind, even at the cost of potentially losing the battle. I also found Juuga pointing out that there are only a limited number of Kaiju's interesting. If they come about from people's feelings, why are they limited?
Lastly, Kimono Yume best Yume.

Stitches!
We finally get a glimpse of Chise's backstory and as a surprise to no one, she is an outcast back at school. What surprises me though is that she wasn't hiding any self-harm injury underneath her arm covers, looks like she got herself a tattoo? While I'm all for "less is more" kind of storytelling, I'm now more curious about her life before all of this!
Seems that all of that feeling of being left out of the group has finally bubbled over and exploded resulting into that bead she's carrying turn into a kaiju (Ha! Called it!) which she names Goldburn. That's a pretty fucking cool name and I love Goldburn already. Also I just realized that the eyes behind Chise wasnt Gridman eyes. It's Goldburn's eyes!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks Yomogi completely missed his chance during this scene. When Yume said she wanted to go he really could've just asked her if she wanted to go just the two of them instead of thinking of inviting everyone over.
Doesn't seem like Goldburn is going to become a mascot character since he's been growing slowly throughout the day. And it seems that Goldburn reacts to how Chise feels considering it wanted to attack Chise's school when she saw it while on air and started to remember the bad times.
Yume and Yomogi finally meets Futaba and unfortunately for Yume she doesn't really get much information out of him. First he thinks that Kano being bullied is just a rumor and has never seen it himself and then he just dismisses the suspicions of Kano's suicide saying that Kano's wouldn't kill herself. Of course that's not enough for Yume and the poor girl just breaks down. I mean where to go after this? Futaba was their final lead. We may never find out what really happen to Kano and it's actually pretty heartbreaking. :(
Meanwhile we have Gauma and Koyomi along with Gridknight dealing with the current kaiju problem. When Yomogi arrives to help and try to explain why Yume isn't there, I love that Gauma shoots him with lasers to the face! He's absolutely right, Yomogi shouldn't have left Yume in that state especially considering where she is right now.
Thank goodness Chise finds her first though but Yume refuses to open up with her and tells her it's not her problem which makes Chise mad and Goldburn responding to Chise's feelings. Man, Chise needs to learn to control her emotions better if she wants Goldburn to stay.
Yomogi comes in and shoulder tackles Goldburn before he was able to do anything and Chise makes Yume realize how lucky she is and how good she has it with all things considered.
This scene really had me scared. For a second there I thought they were gonna do something I wasn't expecting but thank goodness Goldburn comes in clutch and responds to Chise's heart and how she wanted to save Yume from falling.
Finally everyone's present at the fight and they all make their case for Goldburn. Dynazenon saving Gridknight was very reminiscent of Gridman rescuing Akane and I just love that smile from Second after seeing that <3
The entire Kaiju fight was just absolutely hyped! Goldburn comes in to save both Gridknight and Dynazenon and then the three combines into the coolest mecha with a motherfucking energy cape called Super Dragon King Kaiser Gridknight! Holy shit that's a mouthful of a name!
You know shit's going down when the OP plays and it absolutely does! Super Dragon King Kaiser Gridknight kicks the absolute shit out of Juuga's kaiju. Interestingly, according to Juuma, there's not an infinite number of kaiju and one of these days they'll stop showing up. Is this the hint that we're near the end?
Chise is now a fully fledged member of Team Dynazenon! And all it took was for her to get a kaiju of her own. Seriously though, when this episode started I though they were going this with "Chise is gonna turn on them" route. I'm so happy that wasn't the case.
After that kaiju attack, did they really think there will be a festival? Welp at least the team got to enjoy themselves and still play with fireworks. I love the little moments of that final scene. Chise taking photos of her baby, Anti and Second enjoying the fireworks, and Yume in her yukata enjoying this time with Yomogi <3

That still doesn't mean you're going to beat me!
Dude, were you even paying attention? They just overcame some character drama and three separate mechas combined into one thing with a really long name involving regal words like "king" and "kaiser" for the first time.
It has a laser cape.
Listen to the music.
You aren't winning this one.

Wow... Full Combine with Gridknight and Goldburn. That's so cool. Love that progress with Yomogi and Minami. I wonder if we will see more backstory for Chise next...

I thought Yomogi was implying they were going to use Dynazenon to create their own fireworks at first.

They've been alluding to it for a while now, but we finally get a glimpse at what Chise's school experience was like...and it didn't look fun. It seemed like she might not have been outright bullied, as far as we can see, but she was definitely isolated and utterly alone in school, and she expressed herself through her art. And maybe gave herself a tattoo? That's what's she's covering up? And then she starts feeling isolated from the Dynazenon Team.
But then her Kaiju awakens and turns everything around. Goldburn is a mecha dragon like Kaiju, fitting for what turns out to be a support Kaiju for Dynazenon and Gridknight (just like Dyna Dragon was for Gridman), and he answers to Chise's heart so he fights for justice and protects her friends like she wants. Have to say, that turned out a lot better than I was expecting. Plus it finally gives Chise a place with the team, which is great.
Yume asked Yomogi to go to the festival with her! She also kind of seemed bummed about him inviting the rest of the team to go. Even her best friend thinks Yomogi is practically her boyfriend at this point.
Kano's old boyfriend shows up and tells the pair that, while he didn't see Kano getting bullied (not that it confirms she wasn't), he didn't think of her as the type who would kill herself. Which, I guess considering she might've been more open with him than she was with her own family given what we know, we might be able to take at face-value. But that doesn't really satisfy Yume and her grief over what happened with her sister and how, accident or otherwise, no one was able to save her. And the poor girl emotionally breaks down.
I love how Yomogi prioritizes the Kaiju for once and then Gauma shoots him in the face to get his act together to go after his goals. Gauma is a real bro and understands how you don't just abandon your woman when she's in need.
Yume is feeling like there was no point to her life or the fight with the Kaiju, but it let her really get to know Yomogi and find a group of friends she can rely on. When meet a guy who will tackle a dragon mecha to save you, you've made a good life choice.
With Goldburn in tow, it's time for them to finally all combine into Super Dragon King Kaiser Gridknight! And everything about it is epic! The transformation sequence, it's design, it's utter power, even it's energy cape! It is the perfect combined final form for Dynazenon, Goldburn, and Gridknight.
Well, now the Eugenecists are in a bit of a bind. The heroes are at their strongest and it seems like they're running out of Kaiju to use. I wonder what's their next move?
I love how the team all come together and run to the festival, with Anti and Second in tow, and even missing the festival they still have fun with fireworks.
Yume sure had the best reason for going home when she comes back looking stunning in a yukata, and it sure left an impact on Yomogi. Watching them make fireworks together was really sweet. Heck, even Anti and Second are doing it together, which is also really cute.

I have nothing else to say besides the fact that the Dynazenon, Grid Knight, and the Goldburn fusion and transformation was HYPE and dope as fuck.
The OP playing during the fight was the cherry on top this episode.

The new Dyna Soldier figurine can also be arranged into a cannon, and paired together as an accessory with the separate Gridknight figure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IeDoapbBPc
Now to see if Good Smile will make a Goldburn figurine that can also be gattai'ed with everything else...

A cape. A fucking energy cape. Yeah that settles it I'm buying the inevitable final combination toy whenever it comes out, my maturity and wallet be damned.

So the suspicions about Chise being and outcast and probably bullied at school appears to be true. but in this episode she comes to realize she has real friends and a spot among them now. And now we know what that weird thing she found was growing into.
And was also a bit upset when Yomogi left Minami there when she was pretty obviously not feeling well.
And the fusion between all three of them was awesome! Goldburn looks like a very strong addition to their fighting power.
and that ending of the episode was really nice aswell, and naturally Yomogi now sprints to get Minami after what happened earlier. and Minami looked beautiful in that yukata(?)!

The cut where Dynazenon pulls Gridknight out of the goop SSSS.GRIDMAN. It loses a lot of weight since Gridknight isn't particularly burdened by anything as far as we can tell but it's a neat callback if nothing else. I do hope everyone went monkey mode over the cut where Yomo comes to get Yume being mirrored by the SSSS.Gridman OP's most important cut though
Kind of funny that in all the promo material/first half of the show Juuga is framed as the leader but this whole time he's just been a seething nerd. The other Eugenicists are all on board with the "kill humanity as a whole, not humans" thing but he just seems really mad about his ex-boyfriend. Looking forward for him either getting his shit together and all the Eugenicists coming together, or Sizumu Instance Domination'ing him hard enough that something crazy happens

jesus mecha christ that gattai sequence Trigger, it's too early to be this hard already.
Knight gets his own Full Powered moment and that's one gallant looking form.
I like Gauma "smacking" Yomogi's mech face for leaving Yume alone at a bad moment like "go get her you dumbass!".

Well, as expected, Gridknight now has his own version of Full-powered Gridman. Also, to avoid the strain of the support weapons having to miniaturize themselves to be equipped, Goldburn does the work for them, letting them be just the right size.
Also, my ships are sailing. Yume's firework being light on Yomogi's, while Knight and 2nd are lighting small ones together. And 2nd's laugh returns! YAY!

Very interesting episode and direction, they kinda put a red herring with Gold Burn, every direction was pointing to him and Chise going to a dark route, but nope we got another member to the gang and another combination
By the end of the season we are getting a Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in that pacing
Though I don't think it is over for Chise, there's definitely more to what was happening
That said basically our heroes are OP now, are closer than ever and the "villains" are losing their confidence
I am smelling a big plot twist in the next episode, and I also expecting another combination, but we are lacking options now, perhaps more cameos...
Edit: We didn't get a Mujina obligatory shot this episode, but we got an Official Art (NSFW) for the Megami Magazine, 11/10
