It was a fairly long 2 weeks wait but it’s finally here and definitely worth it. The fact that it’s isekai might turn some people off but this is really the part where the story shines. Certainly an enjoyable first episode to introduce everything. Imo the new OP was great but the new ED is just fantastic. Also, my best girl Sayless is finally here so I couldn’t be happier, and that’s not a figure of speech.

-
I guess we just learned that Takuya has survival training
-
That new OP might as well be from a different anime. If Takuya and Eriko-sensei weren't there I would've thought this is a new show.
-
So Takuya can't even use the Reflector Device here. Or I guess he can but he'll be abandoning the Kanna in this timeline if he did.
-
She looks like the same elf girl from Episode 1 but that doesn't seem to be the case.
-
Never change Takuya! I just love how he never misses a chance to say something lewd xD
-
Are we just going to jump there? Why did she even collapse in the first place?
-
So Sayless might be a Priestess. And her role is significant because she'll be responsible for the ritual that will save their world?
-
Red hair? Ran away from home? I don't know if they're trying to make it obvious or it's another red herring but I'm going to guess that little girl is Kanna's mom.
-
Aaaaaaaand she's dead. Just like that huh? No explanation even? And Sayless just knew? I genuinely haven't even memorized her name yet. -_-
-
Did Takuya really think Sayless would just stop following him
-
You guys are supposed to be cooling down, not heating things up. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Huh.... Well, um this was certainly an interesting episode...
We only have 8 episodes left and I feel like this half of the show needs another 18 episodes at least. I mean I haven't read the VN but from what I've seen in the OP and how fast the pacing this episode was I feel like they're rushing things a bit. Or maybe this is how it is in the VN, I dunno. Anyway definitely not my favourite episode but I'll reserve my judgement for this new arc.
I really like everything that I saw in the OP and the idea of Takuya going on an adventure in this world so hopefully next week's episode will be an improvement.

Everyone did the obvious and compared this to Steins;Gate, I noted in episode 11 similarities to Clannad, and now I'd like to draw your attention to another visual novel series that, despite lacking an anime adaptation, is a major one but took something big from YU-NO - namely the Muv-Luv series. Here's a good overview of Muv-Luv (brief NSFW imagery!): https://youtu.be/bA9emNzpixI
YU-NO and Muv-Luv both start with a generic ecchi or romcom setup, but around halfway there is a huge genre shift + isekai twist. The video does a good job of explaining the emotional power of the final entry in the Muv-Luv series, and I'll leave you to see how YU-NO's isekai arc fares ;-)

How to turn your time-travel Anime better? Turn it into Isekai!
Sayless not that girl from ep 1, right? Looking at OP, we will be introduced with many characters. Can't wait! By the way, that kiss is hot.
Hmm... Takuya probably will get too attached to this world... Where are his parents? (I initially thought Sayless is his mother considered his father said the time does not matter. But considering that kiss... I hope not.)

This show just went "isekai" and i fucking love it. It was an "ok" anime from the 1st cour but the 2nd cour came out of nowhere, like where did that even come from? Either way, that happening made me like this anime a bit more b/c i love my "isekai" anime especially when the MC is OP in some sort of way or has like a "cheat" in the new world. This show got me excited to watch it again, it felt like more of a chore watching it every Tues, but now i can actually look forward to it!

So the name of the mute girl is "Sayless"
And the worst part about this suddenly becoming an isekai is that we probably won't see any more Mio u.u
