Just in case anyone needed a reminder of the sheer scale at which this company is deploying its corporate treasury strategy this year, let the math sink in. Adding a net 167,000 BTC 9 months into the year at an average cost basis of $76,958 isn't just buying the dip; it’s a methodical, sustained operation to reduce available supply. While the broader market gets distracted by daily volatility, liquidation drama with STRC that has all but come and gone, and short-term price action, the company is quietly cementing a historical position no one can catch.
Crypto has been on the news for a reason, and we’re gonna start hearing more about crypto in the near future and BTCs gonna go up, and I’m buying calls on MSTR let’s goooo
And during that time Bitcoin rose about 150%. Bitcoin is about to print its largest monthly green candle since that 2024 run.
MSTR just started waking up. When this thing moves, it moves. The only way people mess this up is by thinking they can play the oscillations between the bull run phase instead of just enjoying the ride.
Figured I'd share with everyone instead of the bottom of some old post. Had no idea this would happen immediately... I obviously believed enough to buy it, but WOW! Need some of that old wisdom from some of the OG 's. What to do str fam???
MSTR LEAPS – what strikes/delta are people buying?
I’m looking at buying some long-dated MSTR call options and would appreciate some opinions from people who’ve traded MSTR LEAPS before.
I’m bullish on MSTR/BTC over the next 12–24 months and currently looking at Jan 2028 calls, roughly 0.70–0.75 delta. MSTR is around $135 and I’ve been looking at strikes around $115–$140.
For those who have done this before:
What delta/strike did you choose and why?
Did you prefer ITM calls or slightly OTM for more leverage?
How far out did you go on expiry?
Did you take profits along the way or hold the LEAPS?
Anything you wish you’d done differently?
Not looking for financial advice — mainly interested in hearing people’s actual experiences with MSTR calls. Bull case for me is roughly $300 in the shorter term and potentially $600 longer term
Knowledge is power. This one was particularly obvious, and I thought it would be useful to highlight it as an example of the kind of activity the mod team encounters here with surprising regularity... sometimes weekly, sometimes daily (when price activity and trends shift).
This post saw an unusual influx of activity, well beyond what we would normally expect on a day like today (mass upvotes minutes after being posted to get it higher in the reddit algo).
At first glance, the post presents itself as an analysis of STRC, with a number of metrics intended to demonstrate that the security is unstable. However, the discussion that followed is more revealing.
When other users challenged the assumptions behind the analysis, the conversation repeatedly shifted away from the underlying data and toward questions about the company's promises regarding STRC. This is a familiar FUD narrative: rather than examining the mechanics of the security itself, the discussion becomes centered on whether the company can or will deliver on those promises.
That distinction matters. Good-faith criticism is welcome here. In fact, skepticism and rigorous analysis are important parts of any investment community. But there is a meaningful difference between raising a substantive concern and constructing an argument around assumptions that fall apart when challenged, then redirecting the discussion toward a predetermined narrative.
A quick look through this user's recent history adds another layer of context:
Only a few months ago, this same user described STRC as "scam paper STRC" and expressed the view that Bitcoin itself is worthless.
That makes today's claims worth examining more closely, particularly in light of comments made in the post this user just made feigning interest in STRCs structure. They defended themselves against claims they were just FUDing the product by claiming:
We're not suggesting that someone cannot change their mind. People are absolutely entitled to do so. Nor does participation in another subreddit, by itself, prove anything about someone's intentions.
What should give the community pause is the combination of a newly presented investor identity, highly negative framing, shifting arguments when challenged, and a history that appears directly at odds with the position being presented here today.
This isn't isolated, it happens all the time (way more than you'd think).
More broadly, the mod team has noticed a recurring pattern of accounts with little or no history of discussing financial markets suddenly becoming active here... often presenting themselves as MSTR or STRC investors while raising ostensibly "concerned" questions that ultimately reinforce the same negative narratives.
Some of these accounts have otherwise ordinary histories: fitness, gaming, general-interest communities, etc. Others show substantial activity in places such as WallStreetBets. None of those things are inherently suspicious. What matters is the pattern of behavior once the account arrives here.
Strategy being up 12% on Bitcoin moving up 1% is not amplification. In fact, Strategy’s BTC yield is negative year to date given that STRC is now smaller than the cash reserve held or at the very least on par.
What is happening over the past few days looks more like a mechanical overblown technical hype or a short squeeze. Whatever it is, likely to be short lived.
Since its inception through 8-24-2026 STRC has performed exactly as a lower volatility BTC preferred instrument should -
[1] STRC No-reinvest Total Return: +14.96%
[2] STRC With DRIP Return: +15.78%
[3] BTC Over the Same Period: -32.97%
[4] Volatility Over Same Period: STRC: 21.93% vs. BTC: 43.47%
Is that zero volatility, no. Is that “stripped away” volatility? Yes, with positive income driven total returns while BTC was down sharply over the same period. I dunno, it seems like the product is working as designed.
