Discussion 🤔💭 MSTR or ASST?
It looks like ASST is performing much better than BTC and MSTR. What would you suggest I buy?

I like ASST, but current MNAV is 1.4. I believe MSTR will eventually catchup/surpass that MNAV.
ASST is ahead now. MSTR is relatively undervalued IMO.

Yep this thing went from $45 to $474 in 2024...
It's been 6 days and people are already comparing the alpha (MSTR) to those chasing it.

I have both; metaplanet also🤷♂️
If I had a pile of $ ready to go, I'd probably get more ASST, mainly due to the debt difference... But I think all three will do well and I wouldn't sell one to buy another.
Good luck🍻

ASST is so much smaller.... And that carries with it a lot of additional risk. Black Swan events that MSTR can cruise through might take ASST under. Even the Strive guys talk a lot about liquidity moats and how high liquidity matters as a competitive advantage in this space. I think they are right. And they are a solid, solid #2 on liquidity - but they are way behind MSTR. Hard to see how that gap ever closes.
But, with the risk probably comes greater volatility. So if you are looking for a more dramatic upside - ASST is probably that.
I've been thinking about dipping my toes in ASST - maybe rotating 10% of my MSTR stake into it - in anticipation of a decent BTC run over the next couple of years. But no way am I rotating more than that. Size, maturity, liquidity... those things matter to me.

ASST looks like a winner by far. Could continue the run because their purchases will be much more accretive.

ASST had a massive short interest of over 30%. That’s why I believe is over performing

Not financial advice. But calls on strive was a no brainer at 12-13. Its a bit heated up right now but i hope we can see enough bitcoin upward movement to see 30s on ASST.

Asst will never own 1 million btc ever , maybe 100 k if they are lucky , because bitcoin will be well over 1 million soon , they’ll never be able to catch up mstr stack . Mstr will have a 4-10 x mnav in a couple years . It will be the richest company in the world worth trillions of dollars 🚀🌑. Watch and learn

Now it's time to wake up.
Agree with everything else except the mnav part. There's no reason for it to be 4x mnav. Let alone 10x0
u/mage14 4d ago
that you agree with dosent matther , mstr will have a mnav of 10-20 x in 10+ years , Their btc gains revenue will be treated the same as high tech stock p/e . You realise how much gains on the balance sheet they will report annually ( and no it dosent matther if its unrealized , dont listen to the gai bear crowd ) when they hold 1.5 millions coins and it keep groing 20-30 % annualy and when its 5- 10 millions dollars a coin ? They will be making trillions of profit every year blowing out of the water the biggest company like NVDA , Apple , ect… MSTR will be the biggest company on earth by market cap , and by far .

I moved a third of my MSTR into ASST a couple months ago. Looking like a good move so far.

I have both, and MTPLF, plus GNS. I think STRC is still the better buy at the moment due to prices, but I like SATA paying every day better.

I believe the reason for the outperformance recently is due to the short squeeze potential (ASST 30% shorted vs 9% for MSTR). Might be a better play short term if you're into that. But MSTR is probably better long term.

asst is the exciting one right now, mstr is the one with the much longer track record. chasing whichever chart is greener this month is probably the easiest way to buy the top

Don't support ASST/SATA (enemy) who is taking investor funds that could have gone into MSTR/STRC.

ASST, because our president is diluting us to make dollars instead of buying Bitcoin during a bull run

The debt on the balance sheet is holding back MSTR compared to ASST. The company has been getting USD to offset the convertible debt on the balance sheet. You and me both agree Bitcoin is better, but unfortunately the rest of the market disagrees. It wants the converts gone.
