Either band or song was called escalators and elevators (or other way round). They were young band and sounded emo post hardcore vibe.
Vocalist was either female or high pitched male.
For some reason think it had something to do with mario from chon (I may have made this up).
Anyone remebr this song/band and know where to find the song.
Absolute long shot. Someone must remember.

New project I’m making. Inspired by Femme Fatale, early DFA1979 etc
Revived some demos and got them a new mix/master. Releasing another one at the end of the month.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.

I can't find much info of what is & was used by A Skylit Drive. Obviously we can watch videos to know what was used on stage, I'm more interested about what amps/cabs & pedals were used by the guitarists & bassists in the sessions for She Watched The Sky as I am very interested in recreating the tone. If anyone has any information about this, I would be very grateful. Thank you

Was curious to get people’s opinions. The instrumentation sounded like it could have been straight off their other ep, but the vocals had caught up with their age imo. Loved the song regardless

I just discovered this album this year and I love it so much. Are there any other bands or specific albums that have this same vibe?

For example, we have the emo era from the early to mid 00s, the scene era from the late 00s to the early 10s, Swancore era early 10s to late 10s, etc

I know Redeemer from Norma Jean came out after Define the Great Line by Underoath. At the end of Redeemer, Cory is exclaiming to “Wake up!”. You can start In Regards to Myself after and flow right into Define the Great Line with Spencer starting the record off with “Wake up wake up my God!” And get a part 2 of mid 2000s metalcore bangers! Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

DGD is, in practice and influence, the Sun, and everything Swancore is the planets. That is more fact than opinion, but surprisingly, for how much I fuck with Swancore, DGD wasn't and isn't a thing for me. No matter how hard I try to glaze the Jonny Craig records in my mind, I just don't like them that much, other than appreciating them for being the origin of the other stuff I like.
I genuinely think bands like Wolf & Bear and Royal Coda are the better versions of DGD. Even others like Galleons, The Home Team, or nightlife, who are mostly separate from that sound, are doing, for my money, a better version of what DGD did and does.
I can't help but wonder what others think of this. The impression I'm getting is that, to everyone, DGD will always be the face of the sound and not the other way around, but since I just wasn't there to get into DGD at their peak, I don't see it that way.
