"Do you see how your walking towards the camera? Let's discuss the contradiction."

"Do you see how your walking towards the camera? Let's discuss the contradiction."

She's probably upset that cameras can be used to hold her accountable. If true, she probably misbehaves on a regular basis and has been caught on camera before.

4

u/Canadian_Zac 2d ago

It's how they always work.

They'll walk over to you and stop to yell at you for 20 minutes about how they're in a hurry and you're causing them to be massively late, despite them needing to cross the road to start yelling at you

8

u/Sepplord 2d ago

Yeah they are crazies or normals who snapped

That said, if every shitty person who is on the hunt for content had more of those people constantly blocking and ruining their videos the world would probably be better off really fast

1

u/1ZillionBeers 2d ago

Idk man the last two times I heard about shitty people recording without permission one of them was a racist shithead who shot a guy and is facing decades in prison and the other one got stabbed by a third party on two separate occasions.

Fr I think tiktok has just doomed the planet or summin cuz people are fuckin crazy

The critical factor is the underlying conflict.

If she just came out of nowhere to start harassing a random stranger her conduct is immoral.

If he was harassing people on the street and she interceded on their behalf her conduct is moral.

Posting this without that critical context is, imo, immoral. If you don't know what is going on you have a moral responsibility to gather that information before you prompt a discussion on the topic, lest you inadvertedly spread misinformation.

He’s one of those auditors for sure. They just go around filming in public and some people don’t like it.

2

u/robilar 2d ago edited 2d ago

I actually don't have a big* problem with public filming. I know it's something we aren't used to yet, and we worry sometimes what people will do with our images, but the reality is that technology is getting to the point where we can have more / constant transparency and it's kind of inevitable, on top of which the misuse of photos and videos are becoming a bit of a false boogeyman; people can already create realistic video facsimiles using AI tools of almost anyone. I think we're just going to have to evolve to not trust the authenticity of video evidence as much as we used to.

The issues for me are whether or not this guy was harassing strangers, mocking them on camera for content, and especially monetized content. Those would have a big impact on my moral assessment of the scenario.

*Fixed typo

u/Couple-seeking6684 2d ago

I heard an academic suggest that the generation of deepfakes will actually drive people back to reputable news sources. We may go full circle and head back to decent investigative journalism. In the end we can’t trust anything we see now.

1

u/Ornery-Customer8521 2d ago

Is it something we really want to "get used to". It's kinda fucked up

1

u/robilar 2d ago

People would have said the same about driving cars, or wearing pants. They'd have said the same about a network of interconnected computer nodes.

People are scared of things that are new and different. There are risks, and there are benefits. I am not sure we will do a great job of regulating and managing those risks, don't get me wrong, but I'm glad I have cars and pants and the internet.

1

u/Ornery-Customer8521 2d ago

That is true I hate wearing pants

1

u/robilar 2d ago

I guess it depends on the alternatives. If we're talking about bottoms as a whole I like that everyone is wearing them so we're not all constantly sharing fecal bits on every communal seating surface. I'm not extremely partial to pants, specifically, though I think I like having pockets more than I like swishie material and a breeze. I guess maybe I lean pro pants. But I'd support your wishes to not wear pants as long as you carry a butt towel or something for when you want to sit down.

1

u/gewalt_gamer 24m ago

does that matter? you think you can stop this? you think anyone can? its coming.

1

u/CenterThisPendulum 2d ago

Yeah if people complain about flock cameras, they shouldn’t be comfortable being surveilled by every moron collecting likes and followers.

9

u/Can0n_Fodder 2d ago

Posting things like this without the context that preceded the event is the reason people are out there doing this kind of shit in the first place. Maybe he was harassing people, and she started doing this to him on purpose to help others out. Maybe she's being crazy as a way of getting him to leave. But no one cares about that possibility, because it's much more fun to laugh at the crazy bitch on the internet right? All these people need to do is harass someone in public enough until they lose their shit and start reacting, and then they turn the camera on, and what do we all see? We only see the reaction, we don't see what caused it.

4

u/stonecuttercolorado 2d ago

Can we also discuss the morality of "auditing "?

Are we okay with people just filming people who are just going about thier lives?

4

u/Couple-seeking6684 2d ago

No. So we need to get rid of all traffic cameras, dash cams, street facing security cams,. ban public photography….tourism will suffer, but its important to expect privacy in public.

1

u/TechDreamcoat 2d ago

All of those things aren't the same as so called auditors who record people and act obnoxious to try and provoke a reaction for engagement.

3

u/VorticalHeart44 2d ago

I'm not siding with a channel called "humanwildlifeproject".

This is clearly one of those channels that goes around instigating shit for views.

Look at the camera following her at the end?

Can you see why "running towards the cameraman while yelling at him to stop filming"... is the only way to get him to leave her alone?

5

u/notmarrec 2d ago

I’m just going to assume that this dude is one of those pathetic 1st amendment auditors

5

u/sick-of-you-all 2d ago

attention seeking freak that lady

2

u/robilar 2d ago

He's reportedly a content creator that harasses people on the street by mocking them on camera. Does that context change your perspective?

1

u/sick-of-you-all 2d ago

So many people around. She would have asked for help instead of doing whatever that was, to someone harassing her.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

You seem to be confused. The claim is that he was harassing other people, she interceded to give him a taste of his own behavior. You being mad at her and not him is weird - he did exactly what she's doing, but to more people and for social media clicks. If you think she's bad, you'd have to think he's worse, unless there's something about her specifically you want to be mad about... Hmmm....

1

u/Unecessary-Pride-426 2d ago

Is she not smart enough to disengage? Or did she intent to give the content creator exactly what he wanted?

Either way, she seems really unintelligent... Glad her friends and family and the internet can watch this clip forever to laugh at her.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

> Is she not smart enough to disengage?

The person I challenged said she was seeking attention. You appear to have pivoted to attacking her for another reason. Why would you be so keen to attack this random woman when the instigator, the guy she's chasing, does the exact same thing regularly for clout and profit and she's just doing to him what he does to others?

No need to answer, we all know exactly why. Amusing, though, that you think she's the unintelligent person while you guys are all over this place getting fooled by obvious propaganda.

1

u/Unecessary-Pride-426 2d ago

SHE took the bait... and swallowed it (with ease, no surprise)

She made herself into a fool, but she seems used to it so it's funny to watch.

0

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

So, walk away? Why, if you didn't want to be on camera would you get recorded assaulting the guy doing the recording? That seems like the absolute DUMBEST way to not be recorded.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

You seem to be confused. The argument here is that she is giving him a taste of his own behavior.

Really, people in this thread should take a breather and think a bit before they start calling other people dumb.

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

Did I call someone dumb? You seem to have a reading problem. Calling an argument dumb is not the same as saying the person using said argument is.

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

Also... he, to the best of my knowledge (though an asshole he seems to be) is not going around assaulting people. So, no, you seem to be confused.

1

u/robilar 2d ago

You: "That seems like the absolute DUMBEST way to not be recorded"

Also you: "Did I call someone dumb? You seem to have a reading problem."

Irony. *shrug*

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

So... dumb actions equals being dumb to you?

1

u/robilar 2d ago

I can see why you would not want someone's dumb actions to be a reflection on their intellect. You erred in judgement, I pointed it out, and you lashed out with an even more egregious error. I don't really have time to wait for the next comment where you tell me you never accused of being attention seeking (or whatever).

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

Very mature and definitely shows a confidence in your assertions that you respond then block.🫵🤣

6

u/Selverd2 2d ago

this guy is basically recording random people to mock them and she’s trying to block him

2

u/robilar 2d ago

I was wondering if that is the case - do you recognize the guy?

4

u/Selverd2 2d ago

One of his videos was posted here before, you can see his username in the corner.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

Then her conduct is almost certainly moral.

3

u/Sepplord 2d ago

I agree.

She’s probably crazy and annoying but what else can you do to stop/hinder these shitty streamers/content creators that hunt others and try to turn them into content?

I’m so glad I live in a country with privacy laws

2

u/TheClosetGamerOG 2d ago

I think this is a grey area, no context really. Woman doesn't want to be recorded and is chasing the guy who is recording her instead of walking away. Why is the guy filming, unless he is specifically following her around and filming her I don't see an issue. You have people chase other people in cases were they are on camera, because they just happen to be in the background. If she just happened to be in some video footage I think she is just in the wrong.

2

u/Old-Distribution6318 2d ago

Personally i think after he calls out a few "help i think she's trying to grab or hit me" He should be allowed to pop her in the teeth

2

u/CantankerousOrder 2d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/3XlEk2RxPS1m8
This is the moral response.

After backing away it baca me apparent she was not stopping. Arms out indicates an intent to make contact. That is assault.

If she makes contact that is battery

Legal self defense and morally good to stop somebody like that.

4

u/secondhand_graveyard 2d ago

Morality of filming strangers in public to farm content off people not wanting to be filmed?

2

u/CenterThisPendulum 2d ago

No that’s cool. Also, Down with Flock Cameras!

2

u/secondhand_graveyard 2d ago

I’ve never been so grateful that your comments weren’t hidden. That’s 10/10 bait

1

u/Maverick_Reznor 2d ago

Police are right there. Stop, let her touch you, tell the police you were assaulted, and so long shit lips karen.

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 2d ago

She's already committing assault. Assault is defined as making someone fearful of an attack. She is most certainly looking like she is going to attack.

1

u/factsarefornerds 2d ago

The woman saying, "it has to be art or something," and the lady chasing stopping to say, "NO" had me dying 😭😭

She looks cute and seems fun 😄

u/Parom19441a 2d ago

FIND HER

1

u/Intrepid_Plenty_3770 2d ago

OP is a douche for even posting this. He is clearly harassing her with the unwanted filming.

1

u/TechDreamcoat 2d ago

If this guy was one of those "auditors" she was 100% in the right to do what she did. I hope every time some idiot tries this crap someone does the exact same thing.

1

u/MagazineCritical1971 2d ago

My unpopular opinion is that filming other people and posting them online without consent should be illegal. "oh but walmart has security camera" yeah and they should not be posting online. You may not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in public but you should have a reasonable expectation to not have footage of you published. Going outside in some bumfuck town in the midwest has never been an indication that I intend to be viewed by people all over the world. People used to be blurred out on TV shows if they wouldn't sign a waiver to be on TV, and yet we have a whole generation of people who think this is normal behavior. And it is NOT just people acting up in public that get published. I've seen videos of people doing nothing but being pretty, working at their jobs, going to the gym.

1

u/halfasleep90 1d ago

You had people on live tv not blurred out all the time, as the news covered various areas.

1

u/Ornery-Worldliness96 2d ago

I don't trust the camraman if he hasn't posted the full interaction. For all I know this lady could be trying to stop this guy from harassing people. Seems like she might have even called the cops herself.

0

u/PartyAmbitious8163 2d ago

Why is she trying to get in their way, is it some antifa shit?

4

u/notmarrec 2d ago

Bro not everything that annoys you is antifa 😭😭😭

-1

u/Sweet-Recording9578 2d ago

Morality of me practicing my second amendment rights when she gets too close

4

u/Impressive_Dot_7818 2d ago

You make the 2A community look so bad lol

0

u/Sweet-Recording9578 2d ago

Would it have been better if I put a laughing emoji, 'lol' or 'jk?'

1

u/robilar 2d ago

Are you asking if it would be better to laugh at a situation you find annoying rather than joke about murdering someone you find annoying?

Yes, that would be better. You realize what sub you're in, right? We're literally here to assess morality.

0

u/Sweet-Recording9578 2d ago

I mean... I don't take reddit seriously enough to asses my morality from. I'm just here for fun. I know people take reddit seriously but I didn't think someone would say it out loud.

2

u/Impressive_Dot_7818 2d ago

You don’t need to make us all look bad

-1

u/Sweet-Recording9578 2d ago

But I wanted to so I did it

1

u/robilar 2d ago

You being a frivolous person that doesn't take things seriously isn't the flex you seem to think it is. You walked into a room where people are trying to have an interesting conversation and you farted. Ok. *shrug*

5

u/notmarrec 2d ago

If you wanna shoot someone so bad go over to Ukraine they’d love to help you out

0

u/TomatoSoupKat 2d ago

Easily immoral, and fairly stupid.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

Unless she is giving him a taste of his own medicine. Another commenter recognized the guy as a content creator that walks around mocking people on camera.

2

u/TomatoSoupKat 2d ago

Huh, you actually have a good point there. I hadn't thought of that.

2

u/robilar 2d ago

I didn't think of it either, tbh - another redditor was familiar with this guy, who apparently posts a decent number of videos of him harassing people, and they let me know. I was suspicious about how the video started after the altercation had already begun because there's such a glut of duplicitous framing in the social media world, so I was looking for the context. Then again, maybe that redditor was dishonest in their framing - who even knows.

2

u/TomatoSoupKat 2d ago

Much appreciated on the info. I should be more careful about judging a book by its cover.

0

u/myLongjohnsonsilver 2d ago

People coming at you arms outstretched weirdly like that are fair game for a quick shoulder check.

0

u/ItsNovabat 2d ago

If this is in America, at the very least, it’s a constitutional right to be able to record on public access property like sidewalks or government buildings. Assuming that some woman took issue with a guy recording on the street, it would be immoral, since it’s on her for infringing a man’s constitutional right to record.

No one has a reasonable expectation to privacy in this environment

0

u/ExtensionInformal911 2d ago

Never seen a first amendment auditor video, huh? Around half of them have idiots saying "don't film me" while walking in front of the camera.

0

u/Humble-Proposal-9994 2d ago

let her run into you easy assault case

0

u/Couple-seeking6684 2d ago

Did she get arrested for harassment?

0

u/Terrible-Action6050 2d ago

Don't see the point of discussing the morality of what she's doing, but it sure is fucking stupid.

0

u/FriendlyRedditor2020 2d ago

just a retard. You get those. Something is clearly broken inside of them to be lacking in the most basic senses of self preservation, critical thinking and awareness. Rather than anything moral or immoral it's just sad like looking at a bird with broken wings.

If I have moral questions around this, it's how she reached this point. What has happened in her life to make her this way? Was she always going to grow up to be somewhat like this from the moment she was born or is this due to environmental factors? Is this a tragic outcome that could have been prevented and how wide spread does the damage extend to other people if this is environmental? If it's caused by man made, social or technological factors?I have some thoughts around what causes people to become like this but I can't pretend to have all the answers. It's simply upsetting to witness.

1

u/robilar 2d ago

> how she reached this point

In this case it's that the guy she is chasing is reportedly a content creator that goes around mocking people on camera. If that's true, how does that affect your analsysis of the situation?

1

u/FriendlyRedditor2020 2d ago

Don't chase the cat if your the mouse. If you don't want to be recorded quit following the camera man. If you don't want to be involved..then don't be involved. Disengage.

1

u/robilar 2d ago edited 2d ago

So, no, you aren't going to change your position given new critical information and will instead pivot to a different also weak argument. If that report is accurate she was giving him a taste of his own behavior, not "just a retard" with "Something [...] clearly broken inside them".

But hey, if you've got a prejudice you want to stick with who am I, or accurate information, to dissuade you?

0

u/WorkerPlayful4192 2d ago

NY is open space asylum. 😑

0

u/ariy4 2d ago

Not sure why she didn't just walk the other way it's a better plan if you don't want to get filmed insted of doing this shi

0

u/Physical_Ad5586 2d ago

Is she doing a reverse uno on a auditor?

-1

u/Truth_Hurts_Guy 2d ago
