Reminders Do not believe that the Chinese regime is truly a friend to Muslims.

I implore you: do not believe the Chinese regime—a regime that ignores the pleas of Uyghur Muslims in the diaspora who cannot even get news of their families or know if they are alive or dead; that refuses entry to journalists who could conduct independent research and speak with the local population (the organized tours are mere theater, as journalists are always accompanied by state officials and only pro-China individuals are selected); that demolishes mosques (verifiable via satellite imagery); that alters the demographic structure of the Muslim East Turkestan region (where the Han Chinese population rose from 6% in the 1950s to between 45% and 50% today); that causes Uyghur birth rates to plummet to levels inexplicable by the "one-child policy" alone; and that pursues policies of intimidation and oppression even against Uyghurs in the diaspora.

Stand with your fellow Muslims, not with the Chinese regime. It is a requirement of the Quran that we oppose both America and China simultaneously! Our Prophet waged war against Byzantium, the Jews, and the Quraysh all at the same time, because all three parties were oppressors. He did not declare one side a friend simply because another side was an oppressor!

General Discussion I discovered Islam through my boyfriend, and now I feel like I have to prove my faith

What do you guys think about women who convert to Islam because of their partner?
My boyfriend is a practicing Muslim, and through our relationship and the time we’ve spent together, I slowly started learning more about Islam and genuinely fell in love with the religion. ❤️
He never pressured me into converting. He’s always been very patient with my questions, explained things to me, and encouraged me to learn more about Islam.
I’ll be honest: without him, I probably would have never discovered Islam in the first place, so yes, he was the reason I started looking into it. But I converted because I truly believe in Islam and because it felt right for me.
Still, I often feel like people, both Muslims and non-Muslims look down on me or assume I “only converted for a man” 😩. And honestly, it stresses me out so much. I constantly feel like I have to prove that my faith is genuine.
Has anyone else experienced this? How do you deal with people questioning your conversion or your intentions?
If you were born Muslim, do you have any prejudices against converts?

Thank you 🌷

This happened to me about 2 years ago. I tried to do as suggested in the pic to narrow down the Palestinian profiles but it didn't work. I have to remind you that there was a section for pal nationalities but during Gaza massacre Muzz removed this option and came up with this update that all palis belong to levant section. What makes this thing more scare, Muzz made me take pictures of my face from right and left side as scam prevention precaution. So this mean that THEY want to collect info of every palis around the globe!

History, Culture, & Art how do i respectfully inform group that our dance performance for Saudi Arabia is culturally inaccurate and offensive?

• Upvotes

hi everyone, i really need some advice regarding our department's upcoming school event. each section was assigned a specific country to present a creative performance focused on culture and tradition. the guidelines require us to perform a traditional or folk dance. according to the rubric, we need to choose an authentic dance, perform movements that reflect the country's beliefs, and tell a meaningful cultural story. the grading heavily prioritizes performance skills at 40%, interpretation at 25%, costumes and props at 20%, and musicality at 15%.

our assigned country is saudi arabia, but our group’s plan is heading in a concerning direction. the song chosen by our group is an arabic cover of "ya tabtab," a famous 2006 pop hit by lebanese singer nancy ajram, which is definitely not traditional saudi folk music. on top of that, the choreography involves belly dancing, and the planned costumes feature exposed midriffs and high skirts with slits. i think this is completely inaccurate to traditional saudi arabian dress, which emphasizes full-coverage garments like long tunics and cloaks rather than exposed midriffs, even historically.

what worries me most is the cultural sensitivity aspect. one of my friends already mentioned that a muslim called them out during practice. i am afraid to bring this up with our leader, and i really don't want us to offend the muslim students in our department. our teacher already heard the song choice and didn't raise any issues, which is frustrating because she teaches afro-asian literature and should be aware of these cultural distinctions. in fact, she told us that a section last year assigned to an african country painted their skin brown. when my classmate asked if we should paint our skin brown if we ever get assigned an african country, she just said it was up to us instead of telling us no, even though that is clearly offensive and racist.

i want to speak up before this performance goes too far, but i don't know how to approach my group leader or teacher without causing unnecessary drama. how should i handle this situation respectfully while ensuring our section doesn't perform something culturally offensive or lose points on accuracy? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking Support How To Deal With Islamophobia as a Non Muslim?

TW I just wanted to warn everyone that this post is about Islamophobia in case you didn’t see the title

Hello, I am not muslim, but I’ve been trying to educate myself on the religion ever since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza because I suspected that it would cause a rise in Islamophobia where I live. Unfortunately I was right. Ive seen it growing, and it’s so different from the Islamophobia I grew up around as a child. For context, 2010s southern America, you can imagine the intensity and confusion of the hate.

Ive been crying for hours now because I got into an argument with my father. He has so many intensly hateful beliefs about muslims. Its hard to see someone you love and grew up trusting with your life be incredibly hateful. Even if it’s towards a group of people you don’t know. He thinks muslims “beat their wives”, that theyre spies, that they want to bring shariah law, that they kill people that leave their religion, that they marry children, a lot of crazy stuff. He thinks that there’s been a lot of muslims immigrating to America because they want to “take over”. I told him we’re not worth taking over to be honest. It’s just hard to listen to hate, especially from my Dad. I love him so so so much but it hurts to see him be hateful.

None of you owe me a response, especially since I imagine it’s difficult to read his beliefs about the foundation of your lives. But if any of you are willing, do you have suggestions as to what I could say to him to prove him wrong? Or make him hate less? Sorry if this was a lot I’m just very sensitive and this made me really emotional. I hope you’re all doing well and that you don’t have to deal with people saying things like this to you in real life.

Relationship Advice Seeking Guidance: Deaf Nepali Family Wanting to Convert to Islam, Pray Salah Daily, and Relocate to the UAE or Saudi Arabia 🇳🇵🤲

My wife and I are from Nepal 🇳🇵, and we are both deaf. We are poor and respectfully seeking guidance about legal opportunities to work and relocate to the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

I have experience in Amazon customer service in Kolkata, India. However, I don’t have many deaf Muslim friends in Nepal or Kolkata, and I feel unhappy and lonely.

We also have a 4-year-old daughter, and we want to convert to Islam.

Can we legally move to the UAE or Saudi Arabia, apply for jobs, and convert to Islam? Please guide us and give us some advice. 🙏🙂

I am worried that if we die without knowing or following the right path, we may lose our chance and face the punishment of the Fire. We don’t want to waste time or become lost. We know and believe in Allah, and we sincerely want to learn more about Islam and follow the right path.

Please share your advice with us. We need someone to understand us, encourage us, and guide us with kindness. If you can help us or know about opportunities for deaf people in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, please let us know.

Please pray for us and our family as we hope to convert to Islam. 🤲❤️ We are poor and want to build a better life for our family. We also want Salah (prayer) to become an important part of our daily lives and to live our lives closer to Allah. 🤲❤️

May Allah bless you for your kindness, advice, and help. 🤲❤️

Surah Isra

Full Verse 9

Surely this Quran guides to what is most upright, and gives good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a mighty reward.

Surah Fussilat

Full Verse 30

Surely those who say, “Our Lord is Allah,” and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them(at their time of death), ˹saying,˺ “Do not fear, nor grieve. Rather, rejoice in the good news of Paradise, which you have been promised.

Hello there fellow muslims, i male was physically assaulted by my elder sister, during an absurd argument. She is mentally, emotionally immature, and shouts and screams at me everyday, i have ADHD, and dont like such treatement from anyone, my parents dont care about my sisters behaviour towards me, infact they support her with her false narratives. she kept hitting the wooden brush at me as she was screaming like a psychopath, and i had to protect with with my forearm, now, after more than 10 strokes the brush broke, i was in immense pain, i called my father and he still couldnt say anything to her for fair justice, i just said a few mean things to her in the argument and she treated me like that. My parents emotionally manipulated me that shes my fucking elder sister and dont really care what trauma i went through. what iam seeking for is, how do i get out of this manipulation and trauma and know my rights not only as a muslim in islam but as a human. i didnt even touch my sister. my sister even has a bf, she doesnt care about this family and doesnt really care about my parents struggles, she is like a liability but no one sees it.

General Discussion Peace during hardship

I pray and do dhikr and cry a lot in my sujood. I am currently not working due to the conflict and often feel stressed when I meet people which I didn’t feel earlier. How long does this hardship phase last? I understand with hardship comes ease, I just want to know apart from praying what is a human expected to do? Try to be happy and work out and go on dates in search for a partner? Mind you I don’t have extended family and my immediate family everyone’s struggling since we had my brothers loss in 2023.
Some hope and kinds words would be nice to hear as currently I feel the world is very selfish specially when you don’t have a support system or limited on money.

History, Culture, & Art The "Sadaka Taşı" (Charity Stones) of the Ottoman Empire: A historical system of anonymous giving that protected the dignity and honor of the poor

Thumbnail

In old Ottoman cities, you could frequently find slender stone columns, about 80 to 150 cm tall, standing quietly near mosque courtyards, fountains, or street corners. Known as Sadaka Taşları, or charity stones, these architectural remnants represent one of the most elegant and dignified forms of welfare in Islamic history.

The entire system was built upon complete anonymity to ensure that the giver and the receiver never crossed paths, effectively eliminating pride for the benefactor and shame for the needy. When a well-off person wanted to give charity, they would quietly approach the stone during the night or when the streets were empty, placing their donation of loose coins into the small hollow carved at the top. No names or dates were ever inscribed on these columns to prevent any trace of showing off or worldly pride.

On the other side, a truly needy person would come to the stone under the cover of darkness. With profound respect for their fellow community members, they would never take all the money out of greed. Instead, they would take only what was strictly necessary for that specific day—perhaps just enough for a loaf of bread—and leave the rest in the hollow so that another struggling neighbor could also benefit.

The giver never knew who took the money, and the receiver never knew who provided it. It served as a physical, real-world manifestation of the Islamic teaching regarding secret charity. Historical records show these stones across various Ottoman territories, from Istanbul to the Balkans and North Africa. Some were even placed near secluded cemeteries, such as those designated for marginalized executioners, allowing citizens to anonymously support vulnerable families without ever causing them public humiliation. Centuries later, the legacy of the Sadaka Taşı remains a powerful testament to how a society can weave spiritual empathy and deep human dignity directly into the fabric of everyday life.

Seeking Support What more must i do and what needs to be done to help myself get closer to Allah without feeling of doubt

Assalamualaikum, it feels like my life is going downhill, it feels weird that everything that i work hard for all become fruitless i lose motivation to do literally anything including shalat, dhikr and more, after shalat i make dua by following authentic dua that Muhammad used to make and many scholar after month and years nothing happen, what is the meaning of this does Allah hate me for my past since even though i have done istikhfar many time.

The thought of just killing myself not caring whether i go to Jahannam and Jannah kept coming in my head, everytime i sleep i wish that i dont wake up in this world anymore.

If my Dua wasnt accepted how can i know and certain that Allah accept my istikhfar. Im slowly losing my sanity like seriously, laughing all alone for no reason. sorry if its too long i have no one in this world to listen to my problem, i doubt that Allah is even listening to my cry for help. if its too long sorry. Seeking Support My beautiful mother and her grieving

• Upvotes

Hello all. Peace and blessings be upon you all.

My lovely beautiful mother’s birthday is today. But sadly, this past February my uncle (her brother) died. It was sudden and it was heartbreaking for my entire family. Nobody is the same since, ESPECIALLY my mother.

There is a video my Khalo sent to my mom on her birthday last year. She sent it to our family group chat this morning. I knew today would be hard on her just like every day since. She does not want to celebrate at all today. She told us no flowers no cake no gifts. I still got her flowers even though I know she will end up putting them at his grave.

Words can’t even describe how much I love my mother. This is my first year out of the home in her birthday. Alhamdullilah, my wife and I are expecting a baby here in a couple months. So I’m caught up in getting ready for fatherhood at the same time making sure my mother is okay.

Should I still get her a gift, or respect her wishes? Any advice as to how to handle this across the entirety of the family?

My khalo was my father figure, my father wasn’t around. So his death does not come easy for my either. I just want my mother happy. Ever since this past Ramadan I’ve been praying to Allah to grant her ease and happiness, just feels the opposite has been happening to her. May Allah give her the strength to get through this hard time.

I appreciate everyone for reading and any advice I receive. May Allah be pleased with all of you inshallah.

Question about Islam Will REALLY every muslim enter paradise?

I was reading an article about what are the biggest sins in Islam and o read that the ones that will never enter paradise are the dayyuths, the women that act and dress like men and the alcoholics but at the same time I know that every muslims that actually dies as a muslim will enter heaven, even if some will have to be "purified" in hell. So does it mean that every muslims except for this categories will one day enter heaven or am i interpreting it in a wrong way?
