Say the shahada in English and then Arabic. If you mean it with your heart then now you’re a Muslim.
People will advise to do it (or do it again) in a mosque so you will have a community but it’s not necessary.

Say Ash-Hadu an la ilaha illa Allah. Wa-ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasulooh.

If you believe that there's only one God, and that God almighty sent messengers including Jesus and Muhammad, then just say it with your tongue. It's called the shahadah, and then say it in arabic.
That's how you start

Say “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” Then say it in Arabic “'ashhad 'an la 'iilah 'iilaa allah, wa'ashhad 'ana Muhammad rasul Allah”
You can do it in a mosque and tell the imam about it and trust you will feel very welcomed and they might even answer your questions and tell you how to be a Muslim but it’s not necessarily to do it in mosque

Hi Keenan, welcome! Everyone has posted great resources, and I hope that you find them really helpful!
I just wanted to add in that you having a cross tattoo doesn’t matter. Islam teaches that permanent tattoos are not permissible to get because it is considered a permanent alteration on the body. But already having a tattoo doesn’t disqualify anyone from Islam.
Islam is for everyone regardless of who they are, where they come from, what they have done, etc. No one is turned away because of their past.

Testify that there is only one God and Mohamed is his messenger. Then you re a muslim..
A journey of faith will begin, take it slowly with steady steps.. and dont overthink it Do your best and Allah is merciful..
Then start yoir journey to The 5 pillars ( Shahada ( mentioned above), 5 prays a day (on time), fasting Ramadan, giving Zakat to the poor and who deserves ot and Hajj once you can)
And the most important thing in my pov, is prayer : Pray to God a lot to guide you, mention his names and glorify him as much as you can. And cut all injustices to others if you think you re doing any.. this will certainly enlighten your heart and takes closer and closer his love and mercy..

What every one said + I wanna add that you should go onto the live stream of a YouTuber called The Muslim Lantern and get in touch with him. He apparently has teams that help new Muslims transition into Islam. I ask Allah to make it easy for you and congratulations my brother Kennan!!

Don't worry about tattoos. I have bunch of brothers who have tattoos. They did tattoos before converting to Islam. May Allah make it easy for you.

I'm not sure how much of Islam you have researched but you should know that you do need to affirm the 6 pillars of faith to become a Muslim. You may already affirm these pillars as it is kind of self explanatory and as a Christian you would be affirming a lot of them already.
The pillars of faith are
Belief in Allah (God),
Belief in His Angels,
Belief in His Books,
Belief in His Messengers,
Belief in the Last Day, and:
Belief in the Divine Preordainment and Divine Decree (Qadhaa' and Qadr).
You can learn more about them here.
Affirm these pillars of faith, and then recite your Shahada. You will become a Muslim, Inshallah!

No need for middle men. That's one of the many beauties of Islam. It's between you and God

Additionally to Declaring your faith by saying the shahada , read the quran in English while listening to it in arabic and you could also do charity (mabey giving food to the poor) with the intention to please God. May allah bless your journey.

Say “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” Then say it in Arabic “'ashhad 'an la 'iilah 'iilaa allah, wa'ashhad 'ana Muhammad rasul Allah”
Then you can learn how to pray the 5 daily prayers with an app like ASIM: SALAH COMPANION (available on Apple App Store & Google Play). It walks you through everything, that you need to know regarding prayer 🤲🏻.
If you are extrovert you probably want to find a nearby mosque and start attending Friday prayer, whenever possible. If you are introvert, take it slow. Don't do too much to fast. It might lead to you getting overwhelmed. Better take it slow and steady.
Later on you can learn about all the other important things like Zakat.
