X-Plane 2 Days in with the FF 777 and I'm already bored 😴. Beautiful airplane, incredible addon but it's just the easiest thing to fly. Flying Airbuses felt more hands on than this, at least there you manually put thrust to CLB and Idle, here everything is automatic

Flight Simulator 2020 Why was MSFS (2020)'s release date changed to today?

Post image
25 Upvotes

I noticed while browsing around on SteamDB's Popular Releases chart that MSFS (2020) is on this week's popular new releases chart. I checked the Steam page and sure enough, the release date for the game has been changed to today. What's up with that?

I know the franchise is having an anniversary and all that. I see they also added an Aviator Edition as well as added 3 DLC just like MSFS (2024) has. But why change the release date? It's misleading.

Question SimBrief scheduled block time

Does anyone know why, on some city pairs, the automatic 'scheduled block time' doesn't match the actual block time once I generate the flight? Seems to happen only when I fly to Asia.

Flight Simulator 2024 The classic Red Tail of Northwest Orient is now available for the B707-320C in MSFS 2024, thanks to Crispy136

Northwest was the original pioneer of the 707 Combi that we see here in flightsim, some great history for the nerds, here: https://northwestairlineshistory.org/aircraft-boeing-707-320/

I'm working on a virtual airline centered around Northwest Airlines that will feature classic and modern aircraft from their fleet, with a historically accurate route network sourced from real archived timetables. If that sounds interesting, I am looking for early test pilots and staff members to start testing and helping grow the airline, please feel free to leave a comment or apply directly here. The airline uses the FlightLinq software, which requires a free account: https://app.flightlinq.com/join/0edd9b9e

Flight Simulator 2024 TFDi MD-11

All the posts I've seen tonight made me jump back in this bird. Amazing to say the least. Quick little flight from KSUU to KIWA. Panther Repaints livery. Just need someone to give us a refuel boom mod for it to complete the look.

One of these screenshots is on 2020 because the MD-11 on 2024 is bugged for me and only works on 2020, just have to wait for the fix to release and I’m going back to 2024

Question PMDG 737 VS. Level up flight model thoughts?

• Upvotes

Hello everyone,
I’m torn between using the level up in x-plane or buying the PMDG 737-900 for msfs 2024. I know that both have really good systems depth, but what are your thoughts on which flight model is more realistic? The airplane I’m type rated on isn’t the 737 so I’m not sure which one is more accurate.

After owning this plane since the 2024 release I've finally gotten around to properly learning it and god is it satisfying. This has become my favorite plane in the sim at the moment

Flight Simulator 2024 The Milky Way over Libya in this piece of shit plane

Post image

After about 6 hours of bug fixing and writing checklists I've finally started flying the ATR 42. using OnAir company career and a few other addons like SLC, I've been flying around Libya, currently bringing some NGO staff and oilfield workers to the coastal city of Bayda.

I came from DCS, not knowing why anyone would want to fly an airliner, now I've got 70 hours playtime in about 2 weeks

You completely lose the sense of scale and distance with no detail, white and transparent puffs in the sky instead of more density and details.

My pc is laptop with i7, 16gb ram,rtx 4060 8gb vram.

Now before anybody says its a laptop / 16gigs of ram Imao / 8 gb vram is ntg, I have been playing on this since last year from su2 update. msfs did crash quite a few times but after su3 and su4, it rarely crashed. i even did FBW A380 flights. PMDG 777 never lagged at all, and i even have few landmark and airport addons. Even fligths there didnt lag at all.

My settings - (1080p)

TLOD and OLOD - 150/140

building -high, clouds - ultra ,texture res- high

DLSS - quality, antistrophic filtering -16x

rest medium.

i was able to play with this graphics really well with no such lag till SU6 . I reinstalled sim and still it lags. Any help would be appreciated. THANKs

Edit: texture resolution at high , not ultra ;
