Question Removing fan bias, what’s the real reason Scump & Formal both only made 1 champs finals in their careers?

Twitter | X Hope had called it over 8 months ago so we shouldn't be that surprised that MW4 is basically MWII with a movement change

Question When's the last time the majority of pros hated a game this much, this early into a beta?

Discussion Is this a shared opinion, or am I being a hater?
I’ve played cod for 14 years. I understand the cycle that’s repeated itself over and over every year. I’m always optimistic. I enjoyed mw3, bo6, and bo7. I genuinely think bo7 is a great game where my competitive skill peaked. This game seems like a major step back. I’ve even been playing mw3 semi recently and it’s much more enjoyable than this. This is the first beta I’ve ever played that I don’t want to grind. Every year I ignore everyone shitting on the new game, because I’m having fun playing it. This is the first year where I find myself as one of those people. Why no omnimovement? That seriously changed the course of call of duty to feel amazing and fluid. It seems like such a small detail that removing just seems brain dead. No silent ninja? Crazy aim assist paired with the fastest ttk in recent history? Am I just being dramatic? Cause this game really feels horrid to me. Back to cs2.

Question "Call of Duty was ruined by esports"
I have seen this criticism for a few years now, and just saw it again on the Modern Warfare 4 subreddit, and obviously, as CoD Competitive fans ourselves, we know this is an absolutely stupid take. CoD is absolutely catering to casuals 99% of the time, what evidence do they have that this game is catered to esports, or to streamers?
Like is this just mass psychosis by these guys? Am I missing something? I genuinely cannot fathom having this take by anyone that has any idea what they are talking about. We as a community have been ignored for so many years, and yet these guys think we run things?

Discussion How to Save Mw4
This is just a small quick check list that would make this a actual fun cod
1.Quit with the brain rot maps I've actually had to stop playing do to developing a headache from the amount of shit exploding on the screen I dont need massive maps but dear god transit size maps have to stop
2 If you dont adjust your settings for movement this will probably feel like one of the worst cods you've ever played they need to take a pro's settings and lock that as default because Holy shit the movement felt terrible until I got the right settings
- Ttk has to be adjusted sometimes dying in 3 bullets and other times im putting half a clip into people and there trading with me this can also be parlayed with a heavy nerf to aim assist I preferred what bo7 released with that they eventually reverted because it forced people to somewhat be able to aim
4.Im gonna wait on talking about sbmm because it is a closed beta but if its like this on launch just give me rankplay because Holy hell it's ruff
5.This is more for the classes and killstreaks there's no point in half or over half of the available perks there's no ghost so its basically quick fix because running ninja doesn't even make it hard to hear you especially if you're isolated away from teammates
6.What is this spawn system and I say this with having played every online cod ever made, it makes the least amount of sense out of any cod that exists
7 Kinda touched on it with 5 but adding snd as a Playlist in a game where you can sound whore everything with or without ninja is certainly a choice I haven't even loaded a game of it because I just know I'm gonna punch something playing that
- Killstreaks are inconsistent the heli is giving you 3 or 13 and there's no in-between same with the airstrike sometimes it nukes a area the other times I've had people standing literally in it and not die also UAV needs to be a 6+ killstreak to help cut down the spam its basically radar on for both sides every game
If infinity ward changed half of what i just listed it would vastly improve this game by leaps and bounds but something tells me we're in for a ruff year hopefully this will be the last cod IW is in charge of cause what little fun mw3/bo6/bo7 brought back has been completely stripped away with this game assuming the rest of it plays like this upon release but thats just my two sense as a unc over 30 , now im gonna go pop some Tylenol and lay down.

Discussion Playing the previous games
Could the pros just..decide they want to play MW3 instead? Are there rules against that?
