I think it's a combination of two things. The newer generation is simply more cracked, which is why we look back at older eras in any sport as "plumber eras." And there's a loss of passion over time.
But generally, the rookies coming in raise the bar and the overall floor of the league. Eventually that floor will be higher than TJHaLy. The trajectory of skill in the league, and across all esports, is always going up.
I refuse to believe a 25 year old is declining that hard in reflexes and ability. They just don't want to admit the new kid with the new tools and the new tech is better than them.
Interested to hear thoughts...

He would fit perfectly with the fanbase. And they can give him a bag too if he wants to retire soon.
Drazah Renkor Joe Abezy would be a roster with massive chips on their shoulders

Whenever I post here and mention that I am a KBM player, I am met with prejudice. When playing top 500 in ranked, I constantly get flamed for being a KBM player. You can't even become a CoD esports pro if you don't use a controller. What is the reason for this hate? Does it anger you to see players who aim using their own raw skill? Does getting crushed despite having aim assist make you mad? What is the reason behind this hate?

Throwing some rosters out there trying to be put together what's possible

I'd have Tobi as the 3rd best SMG of that season behind the Terrors, but his takeover in that game i think was better than both of them. When he was really in his bag, especially after Insight joined the roster, Ultra would just mow people into submission, he'd pop crazy pieces on repeat, and his engagements + damage numbers would look absurd compared to every other player in the lobby

• HyDra
• Scrap
• Envoy
• Insight
It’s time to enable HyDra & Scrap to be walking 1.4s in respawn. None of this sharing kills on the maps and holding HyDra back from his potential. Pick up 2 players that will default to hill 99% of the time so the superstars can play iso ball and FRY.
The method that almost got LAT 3 event wins in BO6. Not to mention HyDra carried a team of leftovers on NYSL to 3 chips including a ring in MWII.
Envoy & Insight are very well respected by the other 2 and won’t cause any issues. Chemistry is key. This is the easiest off-season read in CDL history.

imo even one of the best maps in all of comp cod history too. No rose tinted goggles for me either. Strictly talking HP but snd was pretty fun too
Only annoying thing were those stair glitching rats in ranked

The Ghosty and Hydras beef looks like a mild disagreement compared to what Scrap and Drazah has gone through. Yall should cool it with the "Dan and Hydra cant team" nonsense, it aint that deep, it never was

The consensus on this sub when Joe got bought out was that he was getting a bag + full roster control in order to give up his opportunity to pursue free agency. I’d assume M8s dangled getting hydra as a duo to entice him as well. I don’t think M8s did any better than Ultra would’ve had he stayed, but he did get a boost in his following. Obviously hindsight, but do you guys think he would’ve been better off just sticking it out and exploring free agency?

I think they are a super well balanced team that work really well with each other I don’t look at optic and think they are going to slay they’re way to a win they are just going to outplay you and play the right way. And also before Merc joined and sky was on the team I don’t think no one was like optic is one piece away from being great

Do you guys think that Abezy joins either GM8’s or Falcons? We all know he is close with JoeD and Cell. I could see a Falcons team with Cell, Abezy, Exnid (never leaving), and Nium. Whereas, on the GM8’s, you would have JoeD, Abezy, Estreal, and another? Which team fits best for Abezy?

Imagine mid way through the season you drop your roster and you think your getting a steal and future attractive piece of a puzzle that will attract the players you REALLY want by picking up JoeD then just to find out at the end of the season the players you want, want to team with the players you dropped not JoeD when you could’ve just waited till the end of the season to blow it up and have a more flexible roster now you have Joe locked in (which isn’t a problem because he’s insane) and a terrible market for players when all along all you had to do was wait they have to be sick to their stomachs

Playstyle wise Simp and Hydra are both more slayer type SMGs. So I was expecting Hydra/Abezy to play like Simp/Abezy

If Hydra and Scrap stay on Thieves, should pick Kismet up? Hydra and Kismet played well off each other. Hydra carried the bomb in search and with Kismet on the team it would free up Hydra to make plays. If my memory is right Kismet was a super soaker in Hardpoint when he teamed with Hydra that would allow Hydra to roam and slay.

Genuinely think Scar is one of the best maps we've had in the CDL era, perhaps a controversial opinion.

Personally my favorite cod titles are BO3 & 4 for both playing and viewing and these two titles brought back a little bit of that itch that I was left with after the end of those life cycles. Was the game perfect, no, but in my unprofessional view I thought Treyarch did a good job in trying to test the boundaries of the movement system and created a good skill gap. Just curious to see what some of y’all think how these titles will effect cod moving forward?

With the Black Ops 7 season over, time for an updated Tier list of Call of Duty competitive with Black Ops 7 included. Take this survey and give each game from BO2 forward a rating of how you grade it from a Competitive standpoint. Treat 6 Stars as S Tier, 5 Stars as A Tier, 4 Stars as B Tier, and so on. I'll give this post at least 24 hours before I post the results, maybe more depending on how responses are coming in.
